Chapter 93
Cain’s POV
“Who would have thought that the Lycan Prince would leave his majestic palace and come to see me?” Pierre teased and I laughed in
response.
“Don’t even start—” I replied, making myself comfortable in the chair across his table.
“If you would excuse me, Your Majesty’s.” Gemini’s mother bowed, eager to leave. My gaze remained on her for a couple of seconds before I turned back to Pierre.
“Hold on… How could you have forgotten to ask our guest what he wants?”
“Oh my… forgive my manners, your majesty. Please what would you have.” She rushed her words nervously.
I chuckled, shaking my head. “No need to be so formal, Beta Amelia. Relax, I don’t bite.”
Pierre snorted, and I shot him a warning glance. “What would you have?” Pierre repeated.
Red wine would be fine.”
Beta Amelia’s face remained tense, but she nodded hastily. “Y–yes, Your Majesty. Right away.”
She scurried off to fetch the wine I’d requested. I watched her, noticing the way her hands trembled slightly as she poured the wine. I frowned, wondering what was wrong.
“Your majesty,” Beta Amelia said, handing me the wine with a slight bow.
I took the wine, our fingers touching briefly. “Thanks,” I said, smiling.
But despite my reassurance, Beta Amelia’s discomfort remained. She dropped the wine bottle, and it clinked loudly on the table. “I–I’ll just… go now,” she stammered, beating a hasty retreat.
I raised an eyebrow, watching her flee. “Is that how your Beta usually is?” I asked Pierre.
Pierre shrugged, grinning. “Not at all, but I think you might be intimidating her, Cain.”
I snorted, taking a sip of my wine. “Me? Intimidating? Never.”
Pierre frowned a little as if he had just remembered something, “But come to think of it, when King Asher came over, she wasn’t this nervous. Or could it be because it was a joint meeting with him?”
“Asher was here recently?” I questioned.
Pierre shook his head. “No, I meant the day of my crowning, the day he came to take Gemini with him.”
The memories resurfaced and I nodded. “Oh!”
“I would say her behaviour is justified being that you are the Lycan Prince. If we hadn’t attended the same college, I would have been intimidated by your presence as well.” Pierre added. But deep down I knew

different reaction to meeting me. As much as I tried to tag it as normal, I couldn’t shake off the unsettling feeling within me.
This was exactly the same way she acted when Gemini first introduced us to other. Her son, Gavin, on the other had an entirely
“So–what brings you to my humble pack?” Pierre asked, buying my attention once again.
“Yeah, about that I cleared my throat, readying myself for the actual reason I decided to come over. “You know, as an Entrepreneur, I always look for how to serve everyone not minding their nature, So, I would be running an art training and a lot of Lycans have enrolled, but I don’t want it to be something secluded to the Lycans alone. So I’ve been reaching out to werewolf packs too, just to make sure that everyone is given an equal chance to participate.”
Pierre nodded thoughtfully. “Wow, Cain. That’s a really great one. I’m glad you decided to put us into consideration.”
“I’m glad you think so, Pierre,” I said, smiling.

Pierre leaned forward, his eyes sparkling with interest. “So, how do I support this beautiful project?”
“Yeah, so these are fifty forms of participation and I want it to be given to the first fifty people that show interest in this. With time, there would be room for many more to join. But for now, this is what we’ve got.”
“That’s okay, I would be so glad to help-”
His phone beeped on the desk and he quickly took it. “I’m so sorry I have to attend to this. Excuse me—
“Sure!”
Once he was done he returned his focus to me, placing his phone back on the desk. My brows furrowed at what I had seen. I thought about letting it go, but curiosity didn’t let me.
“Is that Gemini’s picture on your lock screen?” I asked, causing Pierre’s eyes to flicker to his phone. He immediately turned it off in
response.
