Gemini’s POV

After reading so many books about werewolves and all, I realised that just like in every other field, practice made perfect. And so I made up my mind to visit the Lycan training centre. With all the stories I had heard, it was said that Lycan’s training was tougher than that of werewolves and that was exactly what I had expected before heading there. I kept my spirit high with expectations and anticipation.
“Are you sure King Asher would be okay with it?” Gavin asked.
I huffed, rolling my eyes. “Trust me, the man doesn’t even care. He just assigned me bodyguards and maids and even bulked up an account and handed me the black card, but he doesn’t give a shit about what I do with myself.”
Gavin sighed and I could almost picture him shaking his head. “You two have the weirdest situationship ever. One day he acts like he cares so much, and then the next day…”
“I mean, just a few months ago, he surprised you with a little birthday party and even wanted to give you an after–service- and now- This shit is really crazy. I would never do that to Louisa.”
Gavin’s voice trailed off, and I raised an eyebrow, intrigued. “Gavin, who’s Louisa?” I pressed, my curiosity getting the better of me.
There was a pause, and then Gavin cleared his throat. “Uh, duty calls, Gemini. I gotta go.”
I rolled my eyes, chuckling. “Save it, Gavin. You’re not fooling anyone.”
Gavin’s laughter echoed through the phone before he hung up. I shook my head, smiling, and tucked my phone into my pocket. We will find out who Louisa is later, but for now, I have a place to be.
I hopped into the car and made my way to the Lycan training centre, my guards flanking me. As we got down from the car I could feel the heavy eyes of passersby on us. For a moment, I stood in front of the centre’s entrance, steeling myself for what was to come.
We stepped inside, and the room fell silent. All eyes were on us, and I could sense the awkwardness. Some people bowed, greeting me as “Your Majesty,” while others looked on, confusion etched on their faces. Some other person’s eyes were clearly saying ‘You’re not meant to be here!‘
I ignored the stares and made my way to the registration desk. My guards followed closely, their eyes scanning the room.
As we approached the desk, a handsome gentleman stood up, almost in shock, his eyes locking onto mine.“What have I done to deserve the honour of being graced by the presence of the Lycan King’s mate?” He said with a welcoming smile and a certain sense of awe.
I smiled back at him, feeling a bit awkward at his reaction. “I’m here to train,” I said, my voice firm.
The gentleman’s eyebrows shot up, but he quickly recovered. “Well, in that case, we’ll need to discuss before you sign in. Please have your seat, ma’am.” He said, leading me to the chair.
“So what are your strengths and weaknesses?” He started. At first, the question felt embarrassing being that I had just gotten my wolf newly and I barely even knew how to control it. But then I thought, how can I get help if I don’t seek it?
I explained everything to him as it was, no addition and no subtraction. And although shocked, he agreed to help. Once we were done, he handed me a form, his fingers brushing against mine slightly.
His eyes seemed to linger on me for a little longer than necessary but I didn’t really read any meaning to it. I returned the form to him after filling and his eyes immediately shot up. “Ma’am, you’re pregnant!” He said, eyes wide.
“Yes- is there a problem?”
He shook his head in the negative, “No, but some of the training might seem too heavy for someone in your condition.” He said, his tone somewhat concerned.
“But Pregnant women do go to the gym, so why do you think I won’t be able to pull through?”
His eyes remained on me for a moment like he didn’t know how to object. “If you’re so worried, you can try to be a little gentle with me. I just need to put my body to work cause this restlessness is killing me.”
He let out a heavy sigh, before finally agreeing. “Alright, ma’am. If you insist, but I would have to train you personally if that be the case.”

Chapter 94
I raised and dropped my shoulder in a swift move, “Totally fine by me.”
He stretched his hands towards me as if asking me to dance, I looked down at his hand with hesitation. He immediately changed the direction of his hand to seem like he was leading me towards the door.
“Excuse me, sir-”
“Levi!” He corrected and I nodded, mentally registering his name.
“How many weeks or months is this training supposed to last?” I asked as we continued into a secluded training room followed closely by my guards.
Levi threw off his shirt with a swift move, exposing his perfectly built abs and muscles. “Normally, it’s six months to a year. But it all depends on the student and how fast they’re able to learn.” I nodded, throwing my eyes off Levi’s body so that no one thought I was admiring it.
“Do you necessarily have to go shirtless?” I stated my concerns, leading him to chuckle softly.
“Oh, I’m sorry about that. I didn’t think you would care, judging from the fact that the King has a better physique than myself.”
Well- that’s one awkward thing to say.
Well-
“Shall we?” He said as soon as he was done putting his shirt back on.
“Sure…”
We started with a simple hand and leg training, which was said to enhance better hand and leg movement while fighting. Elsie felt extra happy during the whole training, I was finally feeding her restless self. If only she had awakened earlier, I would have gone past all of this. As a matter of fact, I would have been one of the best werewolf fighters in my pack. It ran through the family, so it’s what is expected.
“You’re quite fast in learning.” Levi commended.
“I’ve been doing a lot of reading, so I’m familiar with the theoretical aspect of this,” I explained.
My ringtone filled the room almost immediately, the guard whom I had given my purse handed it back to me. I sighed heavily as I caught a glimpse of the caller’s name.
I proceeded to answer the call, and there came King Asher’s cold voice resounding through the speaker of my phone. “Where are you?”
