“No wonder the pack of wolves didn’t chase us earlier!”
“So, we had the chance to escape because of Karina?”
Realizing that, the beastmen were ashamed, reprimanding themselves for thinking they were lucky when, in reality, Karina saved them.
Even though they found Karina’s domineering personality distasteful, they wouldn’t condone hurting their kin.
Immediately, everyone stood a bit further away from Avani because if she could harm Karina, they might be her next victims.
“1. I didn’t… It was an accident…” Upon seeing everyone’s reactions, Avani was visibly flustered.
Her gaze shifted, and she saw the large bag of beast crystals in Zareth’s hand.
Instantly, her eyes reddened with jealousy! Are those beast crystals obtained from slaying the wolf pack? To think Karina is lucky to have a powerful beastman like Zareth for a beast husband and even wiped out an entire pack! I’ve never seen so many beast crystals in my life before. In the next second, she felt a burning heat atop her head.

A bizarre creature with eight legs appeared behind her, its two blood–red compound eyes. swiveling to fixate on Avani.
Just after dousing the fire above her head with water, Avani turned around and was so frightened. by the scene that her legs went weak.
“It’s a pyronis spider!” The beastmen recognized the wild beast, retreating hastily in fear.
They were merely Level–One beasthumans, intended initially to assist Xelrik. Facing a Level–Two: pyronis spider head–on was nothing short of a suicide mission for them.
Seeing Avani scared stiff, a beastman loudly reminded her. “Avani, the pyronis spider fears water- type talents the most. Hurry, attack it quickly with your water–type talent!”
Liquid produced by water–type talent was not like ordinary water. That was fire–type wild beasts‘

In a surge of pain, Avani fell to the ground. Just as she barely managed to turn over, she saw the pyronis spider had already caught up to her.
Its mouth contorted menacingly, and suddenly, it spewed out a stream of scorching white silk, engulfing Avani.
In an instant, smoke began to arise from her body.
The threads from the pyronis spider were as searing as fire, threatening to roast her whole.
“Ah, it hurts! Save me, Xelrik, save me…” Avani cried out in agony
Her terror toward the approaching pyronis spider was so overwhelming that she pissed herself.
