Chapter 7
I screamed in sheer desperation, my voice. tearing through the air, but all that echoed back was an eerie silence.
FRAN
Just when all seemed lost, the door of the private room was kicked open with a thunderous crash. Alpha Frank burst in.
He lunged at the man, grabbed him by the collar.
Then, with all the force he could muster, his fist connected with the man’s face in a sickening crunch.
The portly man let out a blood – curdling scream and crumpled to the ground, but Alpha Frank was far from finished.

His fists flew like a flurry of deadly missiles, raining down blow after blow.
He didn’t stop until they were all writhing on the floor, moaning in pain.
Suddenly, everything around me seemed to fade to black, and I felt myself slipping into unconsciousness.
When I finally regained consciousness, I found myself lying in my bed back at the villa.
A blood–curdling howl pierced the stillness, jolting me out of my stupor.
I forced myself out of bed, my steps unsteady as I made my way to the door.
I cracked it open ever so slightly.

There, in the middle of the moonlit garden, stood Alpha Frank.
At his feet, the portly man cowered, looking like a fat, terrified beast waiting for the slaughter.
Alpha Frank held a sharp, gleaming knife in his hand, “With what part of your body did you touch her?”
The fat man was so petrified that he didn’t dare breathe.
Alpha Frank’s lips curled into a cold, mocking smile.
“So, it seems you touched her all over.”
He crouched down, and the knife in his hand stabbed straight towards the man’s groin. A heart – rending scream tore through the nigh.

Blood gushed out, pooling on the ground and spreading rapidly.
Suddenly, the shrill ring of the phone pierced.
Rosy’s voice, laced with a strange mix of urgency and confusion, burst forth.
“Alpha Frank, seriously? You know, this was your plan too from the start! I asked you to take me to the hospital so you could make an excuse to leave. Then we could have someone rape Yulia while she was alone. Once Alpha Mike finds out his beloved sister has been through such a terrible ordeal, he’ll be devastated. But why on earth did you suddenly change your mind?”
“Alpha Frank, don’t tell me you’ve actually fallen for Yulia?

In a fit of rage, he hurled the phone across the room, where it shattered into a million pieces against the wall.
Then, like a wild, uncontrollable force, he started smashing everything within reach. The sound of breaking glass and splintering wood filled the air.
But just as suddenly, he froze.
His eyes darted towards the bedroom door, and I knew he was thinking of me, sound asleep inside. He couldn’t wake me.
He turned and began walking towards the bedroom.
His steps were slow and deliberate.
I heard his approaching footsteps and quickly darted back into the room.

I shut my eyes tightly, willing the tears to stay at bay as I feigned sleep.
Alpha Frank stood beside the bed.
I felt the soft touch of his lips on my forehead.
It took every ounce of my self–control not to react, not to let him know I was awake.
Finally, I heard the soft sound of his retreating footsteps as he left the room.
The next morning, the first rays of sunlight were just beginning to filter through the curtains.
I peeked through half–closed eyes and saw Alpha Frank quietly getting up. He moved with a careful grace.

He disappeared into the kitchen, and soon, the soft clattering of pots and pans reached my ears, accompanied by the delicious aroma of cooking food.
After a while, he returned to the bedroom.
“Yulia,” he called softly, his voice a gentle
caress.
“Wake up, breakfast is ready.”
There, in his hands, was a beautifully arranged tray, complete with a perfectly fried egg, warm toast, and a steaming cup of milk.
In the days that followed, his gifts continued to pile up in the room, filling every available
space.
I knew he was trying every trick in the book

to make amends.
Finally, on a quiet, moonlit night, after he had finished massaging my tired shoulders, Alpha Frank gently pulled me into his embrace.
“Baby, in a couple of days, it’ll be the engagement day and the Blood Moon Ceremony. I would be busy with preparing it all the time these days. Will you be okay at home by yourself?”
I nodded, pausing for a moment before asking,
“Should we invite my uncle?”
Alpha Frank fell into a long, heavy silence.
So long that I began to think he wouldn’t
answer.

I forced a smile, but tears welled up in my eyes. “Alright,.
