Chapter 6
Alpha Alpha Justin’s grip tightened around the pregnancy test report and abortion record, his hand trembling with barely contained fury.
“Useless! You’re telling me you still haven’t found anything?” he roared.
The lead warrior hesitated before answering, “Alpha, we’ve investigated everyone in Miss Roberts’s pack and social circle. No male has been particularly close to her, except…”
“Speak!” Alpha Justin snapped impatiently.
The warrior glanced at his enraged Alpha but found himself unable to utter the name that lingered on his tongue. Seeing his hesitation, Alpha Justin’s frustration boiled over, and he

delivered a swift kick to the warrior.
“What are you stalling for? Say it!” he bellowed.
Though the kick was painful, the warrior gritted his teeth and endured it. Cold sweat dripped down his face as he finally continued, “Except…”
Nearby, Joey clenched her fists, jealousy flickering in her eyes.
Unlike Alpha Justin, she had already pieced together the truth. The man who had once vowed to be her mate upon her return had instead betrayed her with the woman who used to be his Alpha brother’s Luna!
If not for the scandal that spread like wildfire, she wouldn’t have rushed back so soon. She had assumed her mere presence would be

enough to drive Sara out. But she had been wrong–no one had expected Alpha Justin and Sara to become mates, let alone that they would have a pup together.
From what Joey knew of Alpha Justin, if Sara had told him about the pregnancy right away, he would have offered her money to resolve the matter. Instead, she had chosen to terminate the pregnancy quietly and leave the territory. Her actions had struck a chord in him, triggering his guilt and sense of responsibility–something Joey could not allow.
“Alpha Justin, who else would have dared to confess their love to Sara except for the wolf who kidnapped me that day?” she said, seizing the moment.
She continued, pressing her advantage, “Think about it… If they weren’t close, why

would he take the risk to kidnap me for her?”
Then, she delivered the final blow. “If that thug was hired to harm me, you would’ve found evidence of Sara transferring a large sum. But I bet you won’t. That wolf listens to her because they share a deep connection… a very close one.”
The lead warrior, catching on to Joey’s manipulative scheme, immediately chimed in. “Alpha, Miss Miller is right. Miss Roberts has always kept her distance from other males. Even those who pursued her, she remained respectful but never let them get too close.”
Alpha Justin’s expression darkened as he recalled the man who had fled that night, his scent laced with cigarettes. The idea that Sara–the woman he had once cherished-

unbearable.
There was only one explanation left: that man had forced himself on her, and she had used the pregnancy as leverage to have him kidnap Joey.
Just the thought of another male violating Sara sent a surge of uncontrollable rage through Alpha Justin. Blinded by fury, he swept everything off his desk, sending papers and objects crashing to the floor.
“Search every inch of the territory and find that man! The moment you do, keep him under strict watch until I return to handle it myself!” Alpha Justin commanded. “Also, check Sara’s financial records–see if she made any large transactions!”
The lead warrior, eager to escape Alpha Justin’s wrath, immediately left to

investigate.
However, instead of a large withdrawal, they found something unexpected–a significant deposit into Sara’s account.
Alpha Justin’s eyes narrowed as he examined the records. It became clear: Sara had left for Prescott Pack alone. A wave of relief washed over him. Without hesitation, he grabbed his ID and passport, preparing to head to the airport.
As he booked his flight, Joey forced a sweet smile and wrapped herself around him, attempting to keep him close.
“Alpha Justin, Sara is still a young Omega. She’s inexperienced–you shouldn’t be so mad at her,” she said coyly.
But her words failed to stir any reaction.

Instead, Alpha Justin’s irritation only grew. Annoyed, he pushed her away. “It’s late. Is this really the time for this?”
The disgust in his eyes was unmistakable, making Joey’s flirtatious expression freeze. Her face paled.
“Cancel the bonding party tomorrow,” he declared coldly. “We’ll deal with it after I bring Sara back.”
Joey’s heart sank. She didn’t want him to go after Sara, but she couldn’t openly stop him. Thinking quickly, she offered, “Let me come with you. Sara is still young–there might be things she won’t feel comfortable discussing with you. I can help.”
Alpha Justin considered it for a moment before finally agreeing.
