Chapter 7
When I woke up, Amy took me to get a local SIM card before guiding me around the Pack Hospital to familiarize myself with the environment.
The hospital was overflowing with injured wolves, and with a severe shortage of staff, the atmosphere was chaotic.
I followed the Amy from one ward to another, but fatigue soon caught up with me. Sensing my exhaustion, she offered me a short break.
Just as I was catching my breath, a female wolf suddenly ran toward me, panic written all over her face. From her frantic gestures, I gathered that a pack member was in critical condition.

Without hesitation, I followed her.
However, the moment I stepped into the room, a sharp pain shot through the back of my neck. Cold liquid was injected into me.
My legs instantly gave out, and I collapsed onto the floor. Through my haze, I caught a glimpse of a familiar masked rogue–the same one who had kidnapped me before.
When I came to, I was horrified to find myself completely exposed, with a male rogue looming over me.
I knew him. He was the same masked rogue from before.
In his hand, he held a camera, poised to capture my humiliation.
Shame and fury surged through me. I tried to

push him away, but my body was too weak to resist.
That was when I noticed the unmistakable marks of forced bonding on my skin.
The rogue smirked and shoved the photos in my face, sneering, “Sara, do you really think Alpha Justin will still treasure you after seeing these obscene pictures? It’s hilarious! That smart Alpha of yours had no idea that the pup you lost was actually his.”
His crazed eyes and twisted words sent a chill down my spine.
“You’re spouting nonsense!” I snapped. “Delete those photos and let me go! My Pack Doctor will notice I’m missing and alert the warriors!”
But the rogue only laughed, his voice

dripping with mockery.
“You’re on the brink of death, yet you still cling to the hope that someone will save you?”
Summoning every ounce of strength, I tried to crawl off the bed, desperate to escape. But all I managed was to tumble onto the cold floor.
Then, with a single press of a button, he sent the photos.
A sinister smile spread across his face as he uncapped a canister and began dousing the room with gasoline.
With a flick of his lighter, flames erupted around us.
“It’s a blessing to have company on the road

to the afterlife,” he murmured.
Thick smoke filled my lungs, choking my cries for help before they could escape.
As despair tightened its grip around me, my vision blurred, and I shut my eyes, surrendering to the suffocating darkness.
Then–BANG!
The door burst open.
The rogue’s expression twisted in regret before he drove a knife into his own chest without hesitation.
Warm blood splattered onto me as I was pulled into a strong, familiar embrace.
“Sara, I’m sorry. I was too late.”

The rapid thudding of his heartbeat was the last thing I heard before losing consciousness, my lungs overwhelmed by smoke.
In the endless darkness, Alpha Justin’s frantic voice echoed in my mind.
“Sara! Sara! … Sara!”
Each call was laced with anguish, just like the way I had once begged my mate Alpha Levi to stay alive, pleading for them not to close their eyes when they were trapped beneath the rubble.
So… is this the end for me? Am I going to die?
Memories surged through my mind–flashes of Alpha Justin caring for me, his furious. shouts, the way his gaze was always filled

with disdain when he looked at me.
When I finally opened my eyes, I saw an unshaven, visibly emotional Alpha Justin staring at me.
For a moment, I thought I was hallucinating.
“Sara, you’re awake!” His voice was gentle, filled with a tenderness I had never dared to believe was real.
I shut my eyes, then reopened them, whispering to myself that this had to be a dream.
“Sara, are you in pain? I’ll call the pack doctor right now,” he said urgently.
The pack doctor who arrived was my friend Amy.

After checking me over, she let out a deep sigh of relief.
“Sara, it’s a good thing Alpha Justin arrived in time. If he had been even a second later..”
Even in my groggy state, I understood her unspoken words–if Alpha Justin had been any later, I would have been dead.
A searing pain wracked my entire body. Every breath felt like agony. Cold sweat soaked my skin.
Seeing me tremble in pain, Alpha Justin’s helpless expression deepened.
“Sara, tell me where it hurts. I…”
