Chapter6
After staying a few more days, I had to go back to my apartment to grab some things.
Since my safety was directly linked to Alpha Jason’s, he insisted on accompanying me.
Look at this life–200,000 a month with an Alpha as my bodyguard?
This was straight out of an idol drama.
I couldn’t help but burst into laughter.
My giggle made Alpha Jason’s skin crawl.
He shot me a chilling glare.
“Kamelia, hurry up. I’ve got other packs to dominate this afternoon. If you’re slow, I’ll

turn you into the knife handle.”
I swallowed the laugh and dashed upstairs.
Alpha Jason didn’t follow me; he stayed downstairs in the car, watching over the perimeter like the fiercest guard dog.
I grabbed what I needed, about to lock the door and leave.
Suddenly, the neighbor from across the hall appeared at the worst possible time.
Our eyes met.
I cursed silently.
This neighbor was a greasy–haired guy with hair so shiny it looked like it could blind you.
He was obsessed with me and had made

countless attempts to “declare his love.”
Before, I had no way of escaping. I just had to endure.
But with Alpha Jason around, I had been hiding out.
And the second he saw me, his eyes practically sparkled.
“Kamelia! Where have you been? I’ve been worried sick!”
I gagged a little.
I didn’t even want to acknowledge him. I started rushing toward the stairs, but he rushed after me, desperate.
“Where are you going?! Don’t run! Say something, come on~”

I couldn’t even look at him. He was like the moldy leftovers I wanted to throw out.
I sped up, practically ran down the stairs. I was about to bolt.
“Don’t go! I’m inviting you to be the lead in my life!”
He grabbed my arm, but just then–bam! A can of something hit his arm out of nowhere.
The greasy guy screeched, clutching his face as he stumbled back.
And then, I heard Alpha Jason’s impatient growl.
“Should I just let you turn into a pig’s head?”
“!!”

I turned.
Alpha Jason was standing there, not far from the stairs, looking colder than a winter night. His eyes were filled with the intensity of a wolf staring down its prey.
I immediately darted behind him.
“Help me,” He raised an eyebrow.
“Look at you, all scared. I should’ve known you’d be a little pup.”
He said that but still stood firm in front of
me\.
The greasy guy, finally recovering from his shock, yelled, “Who are you? Let go of my Kamelia!”

Alpha Jason’s lips curled into a dangerous smirk, his eyes gleaming like a wolf scenting
its prey.
“Kamelia, tell him. Who am I to you?”
I peeked from behind him, my lips curling into a mischievous smile.
“This is my personal bodyguard. If you value your life, you’d better run.
