The nurse’s voice reached my ears as I had been awake for ten minutes, yet I was reluctant to open my eyes.
Tears streamed uncontrollably down my cheeks, like a flood breaching its banks.
Thinking it was a sudden physical reaction from me, the nurse hurriedly called Cheryl.

But as soon as I moved, Cheryl, with her superior physicality, deftly dodged my attack. In one swift motion, she kicked the cup from my hand and leaped onto me, pinning me firmly to the bed.
The nurse stared, wide–eyed, then rushed out for help.
With no one around, Cheryl became even bolder.
“Do you know why I dared to perform the abortion on you? Because it was approved by Brother Howar.”
“Impossible!”
I widened my eyes in disbelief, staring at her.

With that, she raised an eyebrow, reveling in her triumph.
