Chapter 6
In my father’s reflections, I learned about the circumstances of my abandonment at the orphanage.
Young Flora, better known as Tyra, was the most exceptional healer in the Blue Moon Pack.
She had grown up alongside my father, viewing him as her destined partner.
But to my father, she was merely a sister, nothing more than that.
Especially after he inherited the position of Alpha, my parents became mates under the witness of the Moon Goddess, and Tyra’s love turned into hatred.

“But in front of us, she never displayed any hostility. In fact, after your mother became pregnant, she devoted herself to caring for her, even more so than I, as her husband. So, we never suspected her intentions, until the night your mother gave birth…
“I don’t know why, but your mother’s check–ups had always shown no abnormalities, yet that night she suffered complications during labor.
“Flora personally assisted in your mother’s delivery. After a long night, you finally arrived, but your mother lost her life due to excessive bleeding.
“At that time, I was completely engulfed in the pain of losing your mother, so I entrusted you to Tyra’s care.
“But unexpectedly, on the day of the funeral,

I overheard a conversation between two nurses. They mentioned that Flora had given your mother an unknown medication during her pregnancy, which was the very reason for your mother’s complications.
“Having grown up alongside Flora, I didn’t want to accuse her lightly based on mere hearsay. So, I sent someone to investigate the matter discreetly, but alas, the news leaked. Fearing my retribution, Flora fled with you in secret…”
As my father spoke, his face was filled with sorrow and regret.
He apologized, saying if he had noticed the signs earlier, perhaps the tragedy could have been avoided.
But I couldn’t blame him, for he had endured so much more.

Besides, as he said, he and Flora had been raised together. How could he have imagined that she would commit such a heinous act?
However, after Flora’s escape, my father swiftly took action, issuing a wanted notice to all tribes, urging their Alphas to keep a close watch on Flora’s whereabouts.
Perhaps it was because of this that Flora changed her name.
As for her change in appearance, that was even simpler; sometimes, just a change of clothes, hairstyle, or makeup could create an entirely different person.
Although I didn’t know why Tyra hadn’t killed me after taking me away, instead abandoning me at the Blood Moon Pack
orphanage, Beta Ezra’s investigation

revealed that her life in the Blood Moon Pack wasn’t easy either.
To evade capture, she married a low–ranking warrior from the Blood Moon Pack, living
a few years of an ordinary and tough life during which she gave birth to a daughter, Cheryl.
When Cheryl was about five months old, a sudden tribal conflict led to her father’s unexpected death in battle. By a twist of fate, Tyra ended up saving Alpha Howar’s father, old Alpha.
Old Alpha, wishing to repay Tyra for saving his life, took Cheryl back to his home to grow up alongside Alpha Howar
Thus, Tyra quickly rose to prominence as the respected Doctor Tyra of the Blood Moon
Pack.

“But for some reason, no one in theeppack, except old Alpha, seemed to knowabbout the mother–daughter relationship betweeen Tyra and Cheryl. If I hadn’t stumbled uppon a picture of Cheryl in Tyra’s study, I wouldd never have made that connection,” Beta Ezzaa said, frowning.
“You actually managed to stealthily enterr Tyra’s study?” I marveled.
Beta Ezra humbly scratched his head. “A!!! thanks to Alpha Jordan’s mentorship.”
But my father waved his hand dismissively. “No need for politeness; Zelda will gradually see your talents.”
Beta Ezra pressed his lips together, then continued, “There’s one more thing. I caught a rogue who had violated Miss. He revealed

that their original orders that night were just to kidnap her for a night, allowing you to miss the ceremony the next day. But then a woman contacted them with a different proposal, insisting that they make it seem real.”
“Was it Cheryl?” I asked without hesitation.
Beta Ezra frowned and shook his head.
“It was Tyra. The rogue said that although she was veiled, her unique perfume gave her
away.
“When Beta Lewis and Cheryl became mates, Tyra was also present. A rogue in the crowd happened to catch a whiff of her scent. That alone is enough to expose the true relationship between Tyra and her daughter!

“Unfortunately, Alpha Howar is overly cautious. I currently lack solid evidence concerning everything he did that night.”
I sank back onto the sofa, suddenly overwhelmed with disgust and nausea at the thought of Tyra’s hollow sympathy toward me that day.
My father’s anger flared, “That woman has harmed us so deeply; I will not let her go! I’m sending word to the Blood Moon Pack now to expose her to everyone!”
Seeing my father about to take out his phone, I quickly intervened.
“Dad, we can’t act impulsively. Tyra is an Elder of the Blood Moon Pack. Unless we can guarantee her downfall, it will be difficult to achieve the outcome we desire.”

“She’s just an Elder. What’s there to be afraid of?” my father didn’t understand my
concerns.
I had to patiently explain, “Cheryl holds significant importance to Alpha Howar; he listens to her implicitly. Since she is Tyra’s daughter, she will undoubtedly intervene if anything happens to Tyra. It’s very likely that Alpha Howar will act to protect her.
“You may feel there’s nothing to fear in confronting Tyra, but Alpha Howar stands behind her as the Alpha of the Blood Moon Pack. Acting recklessly could easily escalate this into a conflict between two tribes.”
Upon hearing my words, my father’s expression turned serious, though his frustration lingered.
“Are we really just going to let this go?”

He said it lightly, but his heart seemed to crack under the weight, and suddenly he grasped my hand and wept.
“Zelda, she didn’t just cause your mother’s death; she robbed us of our years together. If it weren’t for her, you wouldn’t have endured all that pain. How can I let her go? Just thinking about what she did to our family makes me wish I could break her into a million pieces!”
“Dad, we won’t let it end like this.”
I looked into his eyes, my resolve more steadfast than ever.
“I will make every person who has harmed us pay for their actions!”
So this matter must be meticulously planned
