Caleb, his hand covering his mouth in disbelief, pointed an accusing finger at Ethan.
“She’s just a woman, Ethan. Are you really doing this? Didn’t you hate her first? You told Hailey that you wanted evidence, so you let us have our way with her. Now that the child is gone, why are you acting so righteous?”
“Shut up,” Ethan growled, his rage consuming him as he shoved Caleb to the ground, landing punch after punch.
“Ethan, stop!” Hailey rushed forward,
her voice frantic. She feared things were spiraling out of control, but Ethan pushed her aside with a flick of his arm.

Hailey stumbled back and landed in a bloody heap, her eyes wide with terror. She jumped up in disgust. “What the hell is this? How unlucky can I get?” Ethan’s gaze snapped to her, cold and unyielding.
Before any more words could be exchanged, Ethan’s assistant appeared, breathless. “Mr. Miles, bad news. A video of you and Miss Morgan has gone viral online. It’s
spreading like wildfire. The company’s stock is crashing.”
Ethan snatched the tablet from his assistant, his hands trembling as he opened the video. It was of him and Hailey dragging Chloe across the floor, treating her like an animal. The comments were flooding in.
“Ethan acts like he loves his wife, but behind closed doors, he’s just a hypocrite. How can he live with himself?”

After receiving an address, Ethan didn’t waste a moment. Ignoring the burning in his chest from alcohol and anger, he sped through the streets, running red lights, until he reached the hospital.
Without a second thought, he rushed to the obstetrics and gynecology ward.
“Chloe, I’m here!” Ethan shouted as he flung the door open, but the room was empty. Panic surged within him. “Where is she? Where’s my Chloe?” He grabbed a passing nurse, shaking her in his frenzy.
