The rogue wolf came out of nowhere, his fangs tearing into my flesh, his claws raking down my spine. When I woke was barely alive, my body broken. My mate, Jonah Blackwood–the soon–to–be Alpha of the Bloodfang Pack–made sure the rogue was dealt with. But as I lay there in the healer’s den, staring at the ceiling, none of it mattered.
I didn’t want to wake up. I didn’t want to face the reality of never shifting again.
Somewhere between the pain and the haze, I heard Jonah speaking to the pack healer.

transformation. But if we wait a few more days, Greta will be permanently unable to shift.”
“If you just want Naomi as your mate, fine,” the healer said hesitantly, “but why risk Greta’s life?”
Jonah let out a heavy sigh, like this was all a burden to him.
“If she’s unable to shift, I’ll be stuck taking care of her forever. But if she heals, she’ll be a problem at the ceremony.”
My breath caught in my throat.
“I promised Naomi I’d make her my Luna. If Greta is fully disabled, she’ll have no choice but to accept Naomi’s pup as her own.”
