Chapter 10
After the divorce was finalized, I took Noah to travel the world.
Before we left, I gave Gavin a final parting gift.
Just like what had happened to my father–in–law, I had my former business partners and Boyce help me set up a trap for Gavin.
Gavin, ever the fool, fell into it. The layoffs reached critical levels, and, just like before, project after project began to fail under his management.
I also made sure to help his rival company acquire his business at a ridiculously low price, snagging some of his shares in the

process. Now I didn’t have to worry about living expenses for the rest of my life.
All of this was thanks to my father–in–law- if he hadn’t believed in me, how could I have ever achieved this?
Now, I had all the time I needed to truly focus on my child and live life.
After all, since getting involved with his family, I’d never had a moment to rest.
Two months into our travels in a foreign land, I ran into Boyce.
He told me how he’d taken it upon himself to expose the truth about me and Gavin online, and of course, he didn’t spare Aaliyah either.
Once it was out, they became the target of a massive online backlash. It seemed like

they’d never be able to show their faces in public again.
Boyce also shared a funny story from the Internet. Apparently, Gavin had tried to confront Aaliyah about the scandal, only to find out that Aaliyah had a burly lover. The three of them ended up fighting right on the street, and Gavin got a good beating from the two of them.
Upon hearing that, I couldn’t help but laugh and mutter, “He deserves it.”
Boyce then asked with a curious look, “Rebecca, may I call you Becky?”

At the age of twelve, I was kidnapped by bad people. After escaping, by sheer coincidence, I ran into Rebecca, who took me to an
orphanage.
Rebecca was only two years older than me, yet she took care of me with such tenderness.
When I had nightmares and was afraid to sleep, Rebecca, even though her eyes were nearly closed with exhaustion, stayed up all night to keep me company. It was then that I realized I had feelings for Rebecca.
When my family came to take me away, I didn’t have a chance to say goodbye to her.

The orphanage refused to share any further details.
The next time I heard of Rebecca was during my senior year of high school. Rebeccal had represented her school in a well–known business simulation competition and won the championship.
Determined to attend the same university as Rebecca, I studied day and night and resisted the path my family had planned for me to study abroad.
As a result, for an entire year, aside from school, I was locked up at home every day.
I applied to the same university and major as Rebecca, constantly tracking her campus activities.

Finally, I saw Rebecca again–but she didn’t recognize me..
Using my position as a direct junior, I tried to get closer to her while plotting how to make her fall in love with me.
However, things didn’t go as planned. After a few months, due to family matters, I had to leave.
When I returned, Rebecca was already in a relationship with someone else.
Seeing Rebecca so happy, I couldn’t bring myself to break it up.
To ease my own heart, I accepted my family’s previous arrangement and went abroad.

For ten years, I buried myself in books and business, but I couldn’t stop myself from following Rebecca’s life.
When I heard that Rebecca was searching for her missing husband, I knew, though it was a bit shameful, that this was my chance!
Rebecca started traveling the world with her child, and I shamelessly tagged along.
A year later, I confessed my feelings to Rebecca. She asked if I minded that she had once used me to take revenge on her ex–husband.
I answered, “At the hospital, I told you to feel free to use me. I’m happy to do it. It’s not about being used.”
On the day we got married, I laughed heartily and shouted to the sky, “I’m finally Rebecca’s
