Without any other option, they wheeled me into the operating room.
My baby was born, but I had lost consciousness. To prevent the baby from suffocating, the doctors had no choice but to perform an emergency C–section.
The pain from the incision woke me up.
But even when I was awake, they had to continue the surgery. I screamed in agony, and the nurses and doctors had to hold me down, trying to comfort me, but I couldn’t hear anything.

The nurse had no choice but to stay calm. “Phoenix, please don’t move. You can’t strain yourself. We’ve called Dr. Scott, but his phone is off, and we can’t get through to him!”

When he arrived at the hospital, he rushed to the operating room.

The nurse, seeing him finally arrive, was about to tell him to hurry and change into scrubs to enter the operating room.
But as she looked at his messy collar, she saw an unmistakable, intimate hickey on his collarbone.
She held back her anger, maintaining her professional demeanor.
“Both mother and baby are in critical condition. The mother has fainted three times, and the baby’s position is blocked

Hearing this, Edward immediately rushed to change and entered the operating room.
Once inside, the lead surgeon announced, “The baby is suffering form pathological hypoxia. The body is turning purple. We need to resuscitate!”
Edward rushed to take the baby from the side table, performing CPR.
But no matter how hard he pressed, or how many times he patted the baby’s back, the child didn’t make a sound. The baby’s eyes remained tightly shut.
Tears streamed down Edward’s face as he realized the truth–his child had died in his hands.
