Chapter 1
– Here I got in! – Kira sighed and wrapped herself more tightly in a dimensionless black jacket,
which reached her almost to her knees and
smelled unbearably of musk. She wrinkled her nose. – It had to be so perfumed.
She looked in a similar attire, to put it mildly, comical. On a fragile short figure, the jacket hung like on a hanger, even the skirt from under it was not visible – but it’s better than flaunting in a torn blouse with a peeping bra.
She looked despondently at the pile of potsherds that had been a ceramic vase just a few minutes before. Without knowing why, she picked up several large fragments and slowly
wandered to the first floor.

Chapter 1
“The giant managed to fly out onto the stairs at such an inopportune moment!” A mammoth in a china shop, not otherwise, she cursed under her breath. And what a good start it all was.
Indeed, the day turned out to be extremely successful. Kira was looking forward to starting work at Polaris, no less than one of the largest construction companies in Krasnodar. The office building matches the company: beautiful, seven–story, in the city center. For now, let it be a job in the accounting department and the position is quite small- a junior assistant, a beautiful name for an errand girl. Still, this is a start, and for an eighteen–year–old graduate of the school, not bad at all. Kira believed that one day the doors of the firm’s design department would be open to her. She knew that this would

not happen in a year or even two, she still had
to receive a special education, but she was determined to achieve her goal.
Kira always quickly went to the goal. One of the best in class, silver medalist. She loved to draw, read a lot, for her age she was extremely developed, she was even nominated to defend the honor of the school at olympiads in social science, history, mathematics, but Kira’s heart gravitated towards drawing and drawing. To become a successful designer, to come up with her own style is her main dream. In Polaris, she would have been able to realize all her plans.
Now one big slip could cost her her dream job. Will they take her as a designer if she did not even cope with the work of a junior assistant? That’s hardly.
Chapter 1
Kira closed her eyes, driving away the image of the recent event, but he did not want to leave the blond head.
She’d been running around the huge accounting office since eight in the morning, diligently following orders. Everything was fine, but now it’s time for lunch. One of the employees went on maternity leave, and in honor of her they decided to arrange a small celebration with a cake. Kira was sent for a gift to the seventh floor.
“But I don’t know where to go…” she protested timidly.
The head of the department, Svetlana Borisovna, just brushed it off.
On the seventh floor there is a large reception
sue, you will quickly find it. immediately, it is difficult to miss. There you will meet Natalya Mikhailovna, a red–haired woman in a body. You know, – the blonde, who herself was not distinguished by harmony, chuckled. She’s in charge of our gifts. Trubachev himself gives her funds for this. Go!
Kira very soon realized why she was sent for the present. The elevators did not work – none, although there were three of them in the hall. I had to find a ladder.
When Natalya Mikhailovna showed Kira the gift, she was completely depressed. The present turned out to be a vase – and not just a vase, but a meter–high ceramic something painted in the Egyptian style. Weighed five kilograms, no

less.
“How can I get her to the first floor without an elevator,” she muttered. But she was not honored with an answer.
Why would a pregnant woman need such a gift, Kira did not understand at all. In her opinion, such a creation of pottery should be in a museum or in the house of the same potter, because the practical application of this monster seemed unrealistic – except to put diapers there.
Nothing to do. Kira picked up the vase and with tiny steps went towards the stairs. I prayed that I wouldn’t bump into anything. The vase made it impossible to see beyond one’s own nose.
Chapter 1
When she reached the fourth floor, she heard footsteps approaching – someone was clearly in a hurry. I decided to wait out the danger and stood on the edge of the site. The steps were getting closer. Soon, over the top of the vase, she saw the head, muscular neck and broad shoulders of a man. She casually noted the large features of the face and the swarthy skin of the passer–by. A scar caught my eye, stretching from the middle of the left cheek to the very eyebrow, partially touching the eyelid. The impression was smoothed by brown hair cut under a half–box, slightly touched by gray hair at the temples. The man concentratedly looked for something on the phone and did not pay any attention to her. Kira pressed herself against the wall, so as not to hurt her inadvertently. As soon as he stepped onto the landing, she said:
Chapter 1
– Well, with God! And took a step forward.
The man jerked around at her words and with his right elbow tangibly pushed her in the back of the head. Kira remembered the subsequent events vaguely: here she is balancing on the step, struggling to keep her balance, here he grabs her by the shoulder, his hand slips off, grabbing only the fabric of the blouse. The crackle of torn matter is heard. Another hand grabs her under the chest, holding her on the stairs, but at the same time knocking the ill–fated vase out of her hands.
Kira involuntarily rushed after the elusive vase, but a strong grip did not allow her to move. Then Sinichkina felt that the hand of the “savior” was on her left chest and, it seems, was not going to move anywhere.
Chapter 1
For a moment she was speechless… but only for
a moment.
– Hands removed, clumsy bear!
He chuckled indignantly and released her. Kira quickly turned to him to look the man in the face, she had to throw her head back.
–
– Say thank you! And then she would roll down and break all the bones! he said in a low chesty bass and frowned.
“And by whose grace?” Kira scoffed, narrowing her eyes.
“Who entrusted you with a vase, armless?” I dropped my phone because of you!
Chapter 1
“You can bet who’s handless here…”
Kira looked down and saw a smartphone with a cracked screen lying on the floor. But that didn’t make her scream.
– Ouch!
She tried to cover the left side of her chest with a dangling piece of light cloth. Nothing happened.
Not only did she break the vase, but also the blouse to shreds. Not sure how to return now. Tears immediately welled up in my eyes.
But the man was already taking off his jacket.
Chapter 1
“Here you are,” and handed it to Kira. – Think blouse. But it remained intact.
After his words, Sinichkina’s shoulders completely drooped.
– I haven’t seen you before. What department are you from? The name of? she heard through a haze of sad thoughts.
– Now, probably, from no department… and it doesn’t matter what my name is.
“So, I don’t have time to talk to you. Because of you, I still have to buy a phone. Answer quickly!
– From accounting. Kira… Sinichkina,” she muttered.
Chapter 1
– All right, Kira Sinichkina, go back. Leave the jacket with Svetlana Borisovna, then I’ll pick it up. And stop breeding dampness here, your problem is trifling. Everything.
The man picked up the broken phone and left.
“Easy for him to say,” Kira thought, returning to the department. – A trifling problem. Yeah, how! It’s not his kick under the soft spot thrown into the labor market, where people like me, a dime a dozen.
