Chapter 5
The messages on my phone kept flashing non–stop.
“Hey! Cersei! You love me so much! What are you doing right now?”
“Are you pretending not to like me?”
“This is your last chance. Apologize and clear up the rumors, and I’ll leave Monica and marry you.”
I couldn’t help but laugh at these messages, turning to my wolf, Candice, and saying,
“Candice, do you think he needs some therapy? Oh! He’s such an incredibly arrogant werewolf; it’s just too amusing.”

Candice nodded in agreement.
I replied to him.
“Let me make this absolutely clear one last time: I do not like you!”
From the very beginning, I never liked Alpha Chandler.
To openly pursue Alpha Harvey’s fiancée at his memorial service, there must be
something seriously wrong with the Loncelot pack.
Or maybe it’s an issue within their Alpha family.
So I quietly helped Alpha Chandler at a time when he was desperately chasing after me.
I kept assisting him, fostering the illusion

that I loved him.
I paid attention to him, cared for him, looked after him.
I even donned a wedding dress to signify our union.
These actions made Alpha Chandler believe I could never live without him.
Even now, he thinks I’m so angry because I embarrassed myself yesterday.
Of course, he can’t find out just yet.
I want to savor the sight of Alpha Chandler’s pained expression, bit by bit.
“Cersei! Don’t get too cocky!”
“I, Alpha Chandler, will never beg you!”

Alpha Chandler sent me two messages on my phone.
I knew exactly where his confidence came from.
He had planted a spy in the Ravenclaw pack.
I had been tolerating his little schemes for far too long; his actions had once bothered me as much as a pesky lice.
I had been lurking in the shadows, gathering intel on the Loncelot pack.
To destroy him, I needed to dismantle his empire.
That was until Monica knocked on my door.
Monica’s arrival was too sudden; she

claimed to be my half–sister.
The genetic test showed no discrepancies.
But it felt too coincidental, leading me to suspect there was more to this story.
Sure enough, Alpha Chandler was secretly getting close to Monica.
I didn’t just reveal their photos at the wedding; I laid it all bare in front of Alpha Chandler.
He would instantly lower his head in defeat.
“Cersei, I’m only handling some business with Monica; I consider her family.”
“Trust me–you are my mate.”
At that moment, I could only stare silently at

the resemblance between Alpha Chandler and Alpha Harvey.
They had long set their sights on us.
Alpha Harvey was five years older than me; we grew up together.
Little by little, we developed feelings for one another.
I still vividly remember the day Alpha Harvey died.
He told me he wanted his family to bless our wedding.
His sister had once treated him with kindness; even though she couldn’t stop his brother from persecuting him, she still provided him with food.

He wanted his sister and her family to attend the wedding between him and me.
I waited for him to vow alongside me, but instead, I was met with the news of his death.
I received a message on my phone; Alpha Chandler could no longer hold back.
A strange number sent me document after document.
All were evidence about the truth behind Alpha Harvey’s car accident.
I slowly scrolled through those files, a sense of grief spreading through my heart.
They had plotted Alpha Harvey’s accident, calculating against me and against Alpha Daryl.

I scoffed bitterly–just based on the Lancelot pack?
