The next morning, Talia caused a stir when she showed up at Mayonne University wearing her school uniform and carrying her backpack, for no one else was wearing a school uniform except for her.
“Look, where did that country bumpkin come from, still wearing a school uniform?”
“Black leather shoes, lace socks, and black hair ribbons with bows on them. What is she, three years old?”
“I guess she’s smashing money to get in, trying to hook up with a trust fund baby here.”

Talia strutted into Class One, the class with the richest kids, instantly becoming the center of attention amidst curious glances. Sandra, visibly annoyed by her presence, couldn’t help but fume.

“Excuse me, where can I sit?” Talia asked, all polite.
Rhea couldn’t wait to show her the ropes and pointed Talia to the last table in the front. “Over there.”

Rhea couldn’t help but smirk as Talia took her advice and headed to the last table.
“Mick’s not gonna like someone taking his spot. This should be interesting.”
“Look at her, taking Mick’s spot like she owns it. She’s got guts.”
“She picks his seat of all places? She must be looking for trouble”
“Let’s see how long she lasts there,” another voice added.
Then the room buzzed. Look, Mick’s here.”
Mick Holt, the star of Malyonne University, strolled into class, the epitome of cool with his dyed blonde hair, white shirt, black pants, and a Patek Philippe watch casually adorning his wrist.
He looked like he had just walked off a movie set. Fatigue under his eyes was the only sign of his late nights.
He was known as the bad boy, yet untouchable, thanks to his wealthy family and Snyder’s backing. Not to mention, his face was stunning. He was the king of the campus, and everyone knew better than to cross him.

Mick ignored the stares of the people around him as he made his way to the back row. What he saw there made him unhappy. A girl wearing a school uniform and looking like a good girl was sitting in his seat.
The seats were meant to be for two people, but Mick had taken up the space to ensure he could sleep undisturbed. “You, get out of here,” he said to Talia.

If he had asked politely, she would’ve listened. But Mick came in and grully told her to get out, which only made Talia angry. “Why don’t you get out of here!” she asked.
At these words, the classroom was suddenly silent. Everyone looked at Mick with shock, then Talia, thinking she might be crazy for speaking to Mick like that,

woman say! How dare she talk to Mick like that?”
“I totally get it. She’s picking up tips from those romance novels where the main female character isn’t afraid to get on the main guy’s nerves and actually manages to grab his attention.”
“Right. She dares to hit on Mick. Doesn’t she even look at herself?”
“I’m sure Mick will reward her with a punch and make her run out crying”
Mick’s face darkened. He had seen so many tricks from women in his twenty years. They all racked their brains, trying to get his attention and achieve their goals. But a girl as arrogant as Talia was truly something new,
It just so happened that Mick was not in a good mood today, so he decided to take Talia to make an example of her. “I’ll show you why you should run as fast as you can.”
Mick didn’t bother to talk anymore and roughly reached over, trying to pick Talia up and throw her out.
