Chapter 9
Talia scoffed, “You think you’re getting money out of me? Keep dreaming!”
Rolf glanced around, trying to keep his cool despite feeling frustrated. This was the Snyder family, and he didn’t want to stir up any gossip.
Lowering his voice, he said, “Let’s not talk about the engagement gift. Let’s talk about the money we gave you. Your brothers and I worked hard to scrape that money.
“Now, the company’s project needs funding. You can’t just take the money and ignore the company’s crisis. Can you be reasonable?”
To Talia’s surprise, the whole family funded the three million dollars. It seemed they really wanted her out of the picture. Holding back her frustration, Talia said, “Get out of here before lose my temper. I don’t want to repeat myself.”
“So you’re not giving back my money?”
I earned it. So why give it back? Three million dollars as a little payback, Talia thought and stayed quiet, showing her resistance in every move.
Rolf’s face got darker and darker. Furious, he stepped forward, grabbed Talia’s hand, and pulled her outside. This was the Snyder family, so they couldn’t argue here.
Talia realized what Rolf was up to and said nothing, letting herself be dragged along.
At the front door, she shoved Rolf out the door as if he were a piece of garbage, then said to the security guard. “I have nothing to do with this man. Don’t ever let him in.”
“Yes, Mrs. Snyder,” said the guard.
Rolf was outraged and yelled, “Talial Get out here and fix this! Talia!” Talia walked away without looking back.
“This is just the beginning. I’ll destroy the Blake family, Talia thought.
Hanley filled Eddie in with the latest drama. “Mrs. Snyder kicked her father out. And she even told the gatekeeper to keep
him out.”
Eddie took a moment to think. “What do you think of Talia?”
Hanley was a bit unsure. Well, Mrs. Snyder’s been pretty awesome with Mr. Clifford Snyder. Just this morning, she was all hands–on, feeding him and even taking him for a stroll in the garden.”
Hanley thought, ‘Real or not, her efforts deserve respect
“I was asking about her breeding”
Her breeding was another thing. “Her vibes with the Blake family are a bit off, but she’s always been respectful towards you.” said Hanley.
“And her education?”
“Apparently, the Blakes picked her up from some tiny village with nothing but a middle school diploma to her name.”
Eddie couldn’t hide his disappointment. It seemed impossible ter someone with that background to end up in the Snyder family if not for a fortune teller’s odd prediction

Chapter 9
Since Clifford had beerrdoing better since she arrived, Eddie had to concede. “She’s only twenty, right? There’s still time for her to get more education.”
“Mr. Snyder, are you suggesting.”
In the evening, as Ramona was heading back from school, she spotted Talia pushing Clifford in his wheelchair through the garden. Meanwhile, Eddie and the housekeeper were casually strolling nearby.
Without a word, Ramona dashed over to Talia’s side. “Wow, faking Clifford for a walk, huh? I’m surprised at your patience. But the days are still long. How long will you keep this up?”

Talia didn’t bother responding and tried maneuver around Ramona. This seemed to tick Ramona off, who then intentionally blocked Talia’s way. “Hey, I’m talking to you, What, got nothing to say?”
Talia replied with a frosty “Move To Ramona, it felt like Talia was bossing around.
Out of the corner of her eye, Ramona saw Eddie and Hanley getting closer. Seizing the moment, she said, “Looks like you’ve had a long day. Let me help push Clifford back.”
No sooner had she said this than shoved Talia aside and took over the wheelchair.
Concerned that their scuffle might end badly, Talia stepped back. But the moment she did, Ramona flashed a sneaky grin
Suddenly, she gave the wheelchair a strong push, sending it towards a slope. It started speeding down, turning the situation instantly dangerous.
“Talia, what are you doing? Clifford!” Ramona shrieked, covering her eyes with her hands, not wanting to see the horrifying
outcome.
Not too far off, Hanley also started screaming, “Watch out!”
Clifford was on the verge of an accident. But just in time, someone super quick jumped in and, in a flash, grabbed the wheelchair, stopping a disaster from happening. Talia saved the say.
Breathing out a sigh of relief, she shot Ramona a frosty look at Ramona, who had kicked off the whole mess. The storms brewed in Talia’s eyes.
The scene everyone was dreading, where Clifford fell and got hurt, never happened. Ramona couldn’t believe her eyes. How on earth did Talia manage to get there so quickly? It seemed impossible,‘ she pondered.
Then, Ramona acted all scared and dashed over to the wheelchair, freaking out. “I was totally freaked out just now! Clifford was this close to having an accident. And that’s on you.
“Why did you even consider bringing Clifford to such a sketchy spot? Did you see how close we were to a disaster? Do you even know how to look after someone?”
Talia was taken aback by Ramona’s sudden attack. From what I saw, you were the one who seemed to be pushing the wheelchair towards danger on purpose. Talia shot back, her tone ice cold.
“What? Clearly, you weren’t looking after Clifford, and now you’le pinning this on me? How can you be so heartless Ramona argued.
Just then, Hanley came running over, panting. “That was close. Mr. Clifford Snyder almost took a nasty fall”
Eddie hobbled in on his crutches, too, taking a look at Clifford still in the wheelchair.
“Mr. Snyder, Talia’s pointing fingers at me, saying I tried to hurt Clifford. You’ve got to help me out here,” Ramona said.
