Eternal Regret Was Your Choice
Lucky Draw
Chapter 9
It was three days later when the Gamma in charge of patrolling the streets handed me the tape of that tragic night.
They had come across it by accident while checking the city’s security footage.
In the recording, I saw everything.
Sebastian’s wolf lost control. Completely.
Gabriel–the mighty Silver Wolf King–roared, his silver eyes blazing with bloodlust.
He ripped into Nova and Victoria without mercy, sangs tearing, claws shredding.
I couldn’t watch till the end.
I stumbled into the bathroom, retching, vomiting until my stomach was empty.
Only then–did I drag myself back to the projector.
By then, Sebastian had regained his mind.
The sky was just beginning to lighten in the east.
But there was no redemption left.

He stood there, shaking, drowning in his guilt, rage, despair- and no one to blame but himself.
He howled in agony, then fled, broken and bleeding, back to Silver Wing Pack.
But Silver Wing Pack… was no longer waiting for him.
Smoke filled the skies–ruins, ashes, and fire.
His relatives, who once called him Alpha, now spat at his name.
They cursed him—called him a failure, a disgrace.
They begged the Werewolf Council to appoint a new Alpha.
They didn’t want Sebastian. They wanted Robert.
Because even small packs under the United Kingdom of Golden Moon needed an Alpha to rule them.
Robert–only seven years old–stood tall.
“This isn’t about Sebastian,” he said, his voice steady.
“This is about managing our lands better. Mom, I promise–I’ll have no ties to him anymore. And I’ll lead the other packs too.”
Pride swelled in my heart.

I nodded, my tears threatening to fall.

And so, when the United Kingdom of Golden Moon officially took over the Silver Wing Pack, Sebastian was cast out.
He knelt before Robert, sobbing, begging, clinging to whatever shred of dignity he had left.
“I’m your father! Please, show mercy!”
Robert didn’t even spare him a glance.
He simply turned to his Gamma and commanded, “Follow pack law.”
No more words were needed.
Sebastian–disowned by his nobles, abandoned by his blood- was thrown out into the wild.
He lost everything—his mate, his pack, his Alpha title— everything.
He became a rogue–a stray wolf with nothing but shattered
memories.
But he didn’t stop.
He crawled through the Rouge Wastelands, babbling about his

lost mate, his beautiful son—saying he would spend the rest of his miserable life repenting.
Every time he tried to tell his story, the other rogues beat him bloody.
The last time I heard from him, I was preparing for my wedding with Orlando.
“Do you want to forgive him?” Orlando asked softly. “Should we call him back?”
I smiled faintly, almost with pity. “Forgive him? Sorry, but… who is he?”
The past—the bloodshed, the betrayal–was all buried deep beneath the cursed land of the Silver Wing Pack, rotting away.
Now, I am the Lycan King of the United Kingdom of Golden
Moon.
The ancient prophecy has proven that Orlando and I are Fated Mates, and the bond between us is stronger, deeper than ever before.
When he kissed me, I felt his love–pure and fierce–seeping into my very bones.
We kissed–hungry, desperate, greedy for each other.

I pulled away just enough to whisper, “I’m carrying a new little wolf pup… yours.”
Orlando threw back his head in laughter, lifting me into his arms and spinning me beneath the sky ablaze with fireworks.
Robert, my father, and the rest of my family set the sky on fire with bursts of light–celebrating our rebirth.
Under that brilliant, endless sky, I cried.
Tears of pure joy, of freedom, and of a future untouched by the shadows of the past.
And I knew—deep in my soul—I would be happy forever….. eternally.
