“Olivia, hurry over here”
The cameraman was already calling for me.
I quickly hung up and ran over, not daring to meet his eyes.
One group was the interview team, the other was Ethan’s secretarial team.

People were packed into a villa garden.
“Mr. Fu, Olivia is late. I apologize on her behalf.”
Sophia had clearly dressed up carefully today, strutting around in a Chanel–style outfit.
Ethan said: “Isn’t it not time yet? How is this late?”
Sophia was left speechless.
“Which of you wants to go first?”
Sunlight filtered through the leaves, scattering bits of gold into Ethan’s dark eyes.
He squinted lazily, like a relaxed leopard.
Yet unable to hide his sharp edge.
Sophia smoothed her hair and sat directly in front of Ethan. “I’ll go first.”
The cameraman kindly reminded her: “Sophia, you’re blocking the shot.”
She reluctantly moved aside.
To be honest, I was a bit nervous.
After all, this was my first time doing a specialized finance interview. I was afraid I wasn’t prepared enough.
Sophia took out her notebook and cleared her throat. “Mr. Fu, can you tell us how old you were when you first got involved with the company?”
As soon as she spoke, Ethan’s secretarial team all looked confused.
Ethan stared at her flatly. “Sixteen.”
“Have there been any interesting incidents while managing the company?”
“No.”
“Have you faced any setbacks?”
Ethan’s head secretary suddenly stood up. “I’m sorry, but could you ask some more professional questions? Our requirements were very clear – this isn’t a personal biography.
Sophia’s face turned red. “But isn’t this what people care about…”
“I apologize, but if you continue asking these questions, we’ll have to terminate the interview.”
The deputy editor hurried to apologize. “So sorry, she’s new and inexperienced.”
He gestured for me to take over.
After all, everyone knew about my relationship with Ethan.
My palms were sweaty with nerves as I walked up and sat to the side of the camera.
Facing the lens, my first words came out shaky.
Ethan turned his gaze to me.
This time, his eyes were cold and professional.
Clearly, this was strictly business.

I also straightened up and quickly got into the right mindset.
“Hello Mr. Fu. The theme for this issue is ‘The New Cycle of Technological Innovation‘. The contradictions affecting the capital market are various cycles, and what promotes human progress is the technology cycle. How do you understand this concept?”
Ethan’s expression relaxed and he spoke in a measured tone.
“Currently, we’re at a new window of technological revolution. The analysis, exploration and frameworks under traditional classic models will all face restructuring…”
I referred to my notes, carefully jotting down key points.
Fortunately, I could understand and keep up with his train of thought.
Once truly immersed, I wasn’t so nervous anymore.
The interview lasted nearly two hours.
During that time, Ethan would call for breaks when he saw I was tired.
Other than that, everyone was engrossed, listening intently.
The deputy editor kept giving me encouraging looks: Dig deeper! Keep going!
Sophia was bored, texting Nathan to come pick her up.
After the interview, I saw Nathan staring at me intently.
His eyes full of regret.
The deputy editor patted my shoulder. “Well done, Olivia.”
Sophia snorted. “Of course she did well, she was interviewing her husband. Next time I interview Nathan, I’ll do just as well.”
The deputy editor was taken aback but ignored her.
Instead he instructed me: “Write this article carefully. Don’t disappoint me.”
I nodded. “Don’t worry, Editor.”
As the crowd dispersed, I suddenly realized I was still standing in a certain wolf’s territory.
Just as I tried to escape, Ethan caught me by the back of my shirt collar.
“Where are you going?”
“To–to eat…”
Ethan’s gaze met Nathan’s in the distance.
He casually put his arm around my waist. “I feel like some points weren’t clear earlier. We can discuss in more detail.”
I perked up. “Really?”
“Mm, really. We can have dinner while we’re at it.”
“Okay
Ethan had already arranged for lunch to be prepared.
I wolfed down my food, then scooted over to Ethan. “Let’s start then.”
Ethan glanced at my notes. “On the second nshe

Ethan glanced at my notes. “On the second page, we can expand on a few more aspects here.”
“Okay, go on.”
As Ethan spoke, I scribbled furiously.
“Wait, I have a question about this part.”
“Ask.” Ethan’s hand had somehow made its way to my lower back.
Through my black pencil skirt, the warmth of his palm seeped through.
I suddenly stopped mid–sentence. “Ethan, what are you doing?”
“Sorry, it’s my first time seeing you like this…”
“Hm?”
At some point, Ethan’s gaze had changed.
He gave a light tug, pulling me to sit on his lap. “You’re very alluring like this…”
“Let’s go to the bedroom later and discuss in more depth.”
Confirmed. He’s gone crazy.

On Monday, I returned to my work post.
A colleague nudged me. “Sophia already turned in her article. I heard it’s pretty good.”
“But she used your video footage.”
I got up to find the editor–in–chief.
In the office, the chief and deputy editors were praising Sophia’s article.
“I have to say, the writing flow is very smooth. Not bad for a newcomer.”
Sophia couldn’t hide her smugness.
“Editor, I’ve sent my first draft to your email.”
After knocking and announcing this, I left.
*Olivia”
Sophia called out from behind.
She asked sourly: “How much inside information did Mr. Fu give you privately?”
looked her straight in the eye, frank and open. “Like you, I only learned his identity right before the interview.”
“Stop pretending. How could you hit all of Mr. Fu’s points so precisely if he didn’t help you? Who would believe that?”
The deputy editor suddenly came out and called to me.
“Olivia, the article is good. We’re using yours this time.!”
Those simple words wiped the smile off Sophia’s face.

Those simple words wiped the smile off Sophia’s face.
“Why?”
“Just because her husband is Ethan?”
The deputy editor had long disliked her. “Olivia’s writing is polished, with independent thought and depth. Why shouldn’t I use it? You can question my abilities, but don’t insult my professional ethics.”
“This is clearly bullying. Who wants to stay at this crappy place anyway.”
Sophia acted utterly wronged as she ran out.
Once published, the interview article was reposted by major financial media.
Ethan’s interview video trended on financial news sites.
Sharp–eyed netizens posted the video in entertainment gossip groups.
“Isn’t Olivia the wife who usually takes paparazzi shots for us?”
“@Olivia: Did you change careers, wifey?”
I replied: “No career change, just started doing finance articles.”
I still had a decent fan base online.
The comments section filled with wails. “Wifey’s not feeding us gossip anymore, we’re starving.”
“The gossip world losing you is humanity’s loss.”
“Hasn’t anyone noticed that wifey is also amazing at finance interviews?”
“As a college student, I found it very in–depth.”
In just two or three days, the gossip and finance sections started mingling.
Someone with sharp eyes suddenly posted a screenshot.
They circled Ethan’s and my ring fingers.
“Excuse me… are these couple rings?”
The post quickly gathered a crowd of onlookers.
Someone said: “Those look like wedding rings.”
Another replied: “I looked up his bio. Ethan Fu is married.”
The post’s comments started growing exponentially.
I was lying next to Ethan editing my article when my phone started vibrating frequently.
What’s wrong?” Ethan asked.
Bewildered, I opened my phone to see rapidly increasing comments and messages.
I clicked on one randomly – it was an image.
Densely packed with text.
I only had time to see the title.

Alarm bells went off in my head.
This is bad!
The next second, I turned to meet Ethan’s inquiring gaze.
I quickly hid my phone.
He… didn’t see, right?
“It’s nothing. It’s late, let’s sleep.”
I went to take a shower. When I came back, I saw Ethan scrolling through his phone screen, looking thoughtful.
I suddenly had a bad feeling.
I peeked over to see those bold, unrestrained words making my head spin.
“Don’t look!”
Ethan chuckled. “I think it’s pretty good… why don’t we try it? There are two stories here, you can pick your favorite.”
The phone ended up lost in the blankets.
Those enthusiastic fan writers never imagined that every line they wrote would be practiced word for word that night.
