78 – Alex
1 stood in front of half a dozen of the top Yakuza leaders and waited.
Six fat bastards, who were the ones who would literally decide Yuka and Joey’s fate.
They would be the ones who decided if I was going to get some help, or if I was going to have to go against the clans and do business in one of their territories.
“You say this Jake, is your little brother? What does he want with Yuka?”
I’d already gone over this, at least a dozen times, but I inhaled and spoke again, trying to keep my cool. “My brother Jake owes Sana Yamota money. He can’t pay it back, so has been working for him to pay it off. We all know Sana is a greedy bastard and wants to expand. Obviously, Jake heard this and decided to run with the idea. Add in his hatred of me, and well. you know why he’s gone after Yuka.”
The six men in front of me mumbled to themselves for a moment, and I wanted to rant and rave at them.
Yuka had done so much for the clans in the last decade. He’d cleaned up their image, helped a lot of them out of debt and forged alliances which would have never happened, if it wasn’t for him; and they were just going to sit there and twiddle
their thumbs?
“And why has he taken this Jolene? What would he want with a white whore?”
I bristled, my jaw clenching and as I was about to open my mouth to let my anger out, Sota stepped up to the side of me. Jolene Brewster is a doctor in training. She is Yasu’s replacement, handpicked by Yuka Takada himself. She is a brilliant doctor, a sweet woman, and I would watch the way you speak about her; for not only has she the love and respect of the entire Takada clan, but she is also Alexander Kazumi’s girlfriend.”
I have never seen so many averted gazes in my life. I had been loaned out to each and every one of these men and they knew what I was capable of.
I turned to Sota, nodding to him, then turned back to the six men in front of me. “All I ask of, is for you to give me a few men, enough to counter anything my brother has, and this will be over by the end of the night.”
“And if we don’t?” This one. Handa Eguchi. The same fat fuck whose lawyer tried to pick up Joey as a whore at the bar.
I turned my gaze to him and his face paled. “If you don’t?”
My gaze slipped to Sota, who raised an eyebrow, and my attention turned back to the six men in front of me.
“Let me tell you what is going to happen, if you don’t help. Firstly, Akito Takada will be on the first plane from Japan, with at least one hundred of the Takada clan’s most lethal soldiers in tow. He will come to Henderson, and he will tear this town apart, until he finds his brother.”
The Yakuza leaders in front of me started to look very nervous. Akito Takada, while a piece of shit ten years ago, had become reformed and was now one of the top Generals in the Takada clan in the homeland.
“Secondly, Mama Mori is currently the head of the Takada clan in New York, while her brother is held against his will. Use your imagination on what havoc she will cause to your businesses. You will lose everything. Everyone knows what Pearl is like and I promise you, she will be petty as fuck.”
Eguchi opened his mouth to say something, and I put up a hand, stopping him.
“And thirdly. If anything happens to either Yuka, or Jolene, I will personally come back here and skin you all alive and hang your pelts on the wall of the Takada clan house, as a warping to others.”
your Yuusei Hirano was the one to stand up and I closed my mouth, putting my hands behind my back. “Alexander, prowess and fears as Yuka’s head of security are legendary and I for one, do not want to wake up with you standing over
me.”
He looked to the men either side of him, then back to me.
“How many men do you need?”
I looked at Hirano. “How many can you give me?”
I had no idea how strong the force my brother had was, or how many Reiji had managed to skim from our own clan. I wanted to make sure there was enough to counter anything he could throw at us, and have Yuka and Joey saved.

“I can spare at least fifteen, without leaving myself vulnerable.”
“So can I.” came another reply, and another. And soon, I had close to one hundred men at my disposal.
-Will that be enough?
“I hope not to have to use even half of that. But yes. Thank you.” I replied, bowing. “I know where they are and have someone in the area, looking for signs.”
Aoto, even with a bullet wound to the shoulder, had been adamant he would go looking for signs of Jake, because he wanted him to pay for what he had done. I’d argued with him, but in the end, after standing over me, he’d won out; plus, I knew, if he had the chance, he’d get Yuka and Joey out of there.
“We will make plans to bring Sana to Henderson, so he can answer to what has happened.
Oh,
at I would have loved to be a fly on the wall to witness.
Seeing generals from the six Yakuza clans in front of me, marching into Sana’s club and frog–marching him back out, bundling him onto a plane and bringing him back to Henderson.
“Then I will make sure I bring both Jake and Reiji back with us, so they can answer too.”
Bowing to the men in front of me, I turned and left the room, Sota close behind me.
“You’re not bringing Jake back alive, are you?”
I grimaced as we stepped out into the night and stood outside, waiting for the men promised to me and shook my head. “Not if I can help it.”
