My Dominant Boss
Chapter Sixty–Six In More Trouble Than I Realised. -1

–
My conversation with Alyssa has left me emotionally drained. It was lot. I didn’t give her all the specifics, but she’s the only person outside my family who knows the story. My expectation was for her to flee. I shouldn’t be surprised that she didn’t, maybe. She has a kind heart and soul. I hope one day she finds a man deserving of her because it definitely isn’t me. Not for the long term. She is worthy of someone better.
We hadn’t gone inside yet; we were still by the lake. There hasn’t been much else said since our conversation, but it hasn’t felt
awkward.
“We should go for a swim.”
She breaks the silence with her words and leaps to her feet.
“What? You realise the water is probably freezing, right?” I laugh.
She casually shrugs. “It’s going to be refreshing. We can heat ourselves up with swimming.” She beams.
“I don’t know.”
She removes her clothes until she’s only in her underwear. “I am. You have the option of joining me or remaining alone here. The choice is yours, sir.”
I am too busy admiring her beautiful half–naked body to answer straight away. She clears her throat. Her hand rests on her hip as I finally glance at her face. She raises her brow at me.
I laugh and say sorry. She presents her hand for me to take. After a brief hesitation, I decide to take it. Smiling broadly, she helps me stand up.
“You must be crazy to want to do this.”
“Don’t act like a scaredy–cat.” She teases.
I give her a stern gaze, “Do you want to retract that?”
“Nope,”
she says, shaking her head, “unless you manage to catch me.
Laughing, she hurries towards the water and steps into it. She squeals at the coldness, and I watch her in amusement. I warned her. Once she gets accustomed to the cold temperature, she plunges into the water. When she resurfaces, she is laughing to herself. I’m grateful that there are no other people nearby. I’m the only person allowed to see her half–naked.

Perhaps you’re too afraid?” she challenges.

boxers. Despite the cold, I plungen and swim towards her. I extend my arm to bring her closer,
I enter the water wearing only
embracing her tightly.
“Are you going to retract your words now, kitten?”
“Yes, sir. I take them back.” She smiles and pecks my lips.
I swat her ass under the water. “Good choice.”

After one more kiss, she wriggles out of my arms and swims away from me. I smile as I watch after her. I’m grateful for her efforts to distract me from my worries. That’s the reason she recommended swimming.
I dive under the water and go to catch up with her. Despite the cold it feels nice. The coldness has a calming effect. She stops swimming and returns her attention to me.
She wears a devilish expression on her face. What is she up to? She splashes me with the water, snickering the entire time. I observe her, causing her to feel uneasy, unaware of what I will do next. She doesn’t know how I’ll respond to it. I smirk and return the gesture to her. She laughs loudly and we are soon in a water fight. It has been a long time since I’ve done something like this.

It was impossible not to laugh as we played around together. As soon as she is within reach, I pull her closer to me.

Her arms snake around my neck and I rest mine on her hips. “Thank you.”
“Why?” she questions with a furrowed brow.
“For forgiving me. For listening to me. And using swimming to distract me from my thoughts,”
“You are welcome, handsome.” She says and kisses my cheek.
I believe I am in more trouble than I first believed when it comes to Alyssa. There is a high chance she is going to be the woman that ruins me and not in a bad way. I have to be careful not to get overwhelmed and mess everything up.
Despite the cold, we managed to remain in the lake for nearly an hour. We rush inside, chittering.
“Who came up with the idea to swim in the freezing cold lake?” she laughs.
“Yours. Let’s take a quick shower and then I’ll start the log fire. That will warm us up. We need to eat too. We didn’t eat a lot during breakfast this morning.”
“I wouldn’t suggest such a thing,” she pouts.
I shake my head and chuckle, “Sure you wouldn’t, sweetness.”
I plant a kiss on her pouty lips, causing them to curl into a smile. I hold her hand and guide her to the shower. I allowed her to go in ahead of me. I want to get us some towels and clothes out for after. I keep some here, mostly sweats.
As I get things organised, I get lost in my thoughts. I wonder if anyone else would have stuck around like Alyssa if I had shared my past before. Or would they have run off? I’ll never find out the answer, but I’m thankful Alyssa decided to stay. I’m in a better state after our swim and fooling around. There’s something about her that never fails to lift my spirits on bad days. This is my first time experiencing this.
I join her in the shower when I finish. I make an effort to stay focused despite us being naked. When feeling this way, I usually rely on sex to forget or feel better, as I did last night with Alyssa. I don’t want to do that today. I don’t want her to think I’m only interested in sex.
ما
We don’t spend
much
time in the shower. We dry off and change. I set the fire up for us. Once it’s lit; Alyssa takes a seat on the rug.
“I always wanted a fire like this. It’s not just comforting, but also beautiful.”
“Yes, I love the log fire. I wanted to keep it, even when I restyled this entire place.”
Alyssa pats the spot next to her. “Come and join me for a bit before we make food.”
I give a nod and settle down beside her. Alyssa positions herself in front of me, nudging my legs apart, and settles between them
with her back against my chest. I embrace her waist and place kisses on her neck and shoulders. She moans softly.
“Just let me know when you are ready for food.”
“I will, but for now, I am happy sitting right here with you.” She says tilting her head back to glance up at me.
seize the chance to kiss her. It is short and sweet, “Yes, me too.”

I’m fine staying like this for a bit. It is nice.
“What are your thoughts on spending the night here? We can leave early tomorrow so we can make work?” I suggest.
“I would like that.” She replies.
I hoped she would say yes. I prefer staying here tonight instead of going back.
