“Alright, catch you later. And whether I rough you up next time isn’t just about how low–key you are; it also depends on my mood.” Elizabeth flashed a sly smile and waved at Kyle.
She pushed open the door and bumped into Natalia, who was looking for her.
“Where did you go? Everyone was waiting for you to leave together! Natalia asked, clearly annoyed.
“Just looking for a restroom and got a bit lost.” Elizabeth grinned, closing the door without mentioning a word about her little adventure.
Natalia peeked into the lounge but didn’t spot Kyle.
Kyle, on the other hand, was fuming. He rushed to the mirror, and when he saw his reflection, he almost cried.
His face was swollen, and his body ached all over.
Especially when Elizabeth had shoved him towards the window, his head felt like it was buzzing.
Now his head throbbed like he’d been hit by a cold wind. He quickly reached for his phone to make a call.
But when he reached into his pocket, he was stunned to find his phone missing.
Meanwhile, Elizabeth was heading downstairs, and Kyle’s phone in her hand started ringing.
The caller ID said ‘Assistant,‘ and Elizabeth promptly hit the hang–up button.
The phone was locked, and she couldn’t get in.
She raised an eyebrow, thought for a moment, and told Rose, “Mom, you guys head home first. I have something to take care of.”
“What do you need to do at this hour?” Rose asked, concerned.
“Ill be back soon.” Elizabeth patted Rose’s arm reassuringly.
“Charles, text me when you get home,” she said to Charles before quickly leaving.
Natalia squinted, watching Elizabeth’s back, and snorted.
She thought, ‘Did Elizabeth meet a new guy?‘
At Base M.
When Elizabeth arrived, Oliver and Felix were in the lounge, munching on snacks.
Seeing Elizabeth, they quickly wiped their mouths and called out, “Bess!” Wondering why she was there so late.
“Oliver, belp me unlock this phone. Elizabeth handed the phone to liver.
Oliver took it and got to work.
Whose phone is it? Felix asked.

“Kyle’s, Elizabeth replied.
Felix looked puzzled. “How’d you end up with Kyle’s phone?”
I’ve never stolen anything before, so I thought I’d give it a try,” Elizabeth said with a grin.
“Did Kyle piss you off?” Felix felt a bit sorry for Kyle.

He thought, Kyle definitely doesn’t want to mess with Elizabeth, and he sure doesn’t want her to have his phone. She’d mess with him big time.
“Not really, I just find him annoying,” Elizabeth said. “How do you know him?” she suddenly asked Felix, curious.
Felix laughed. “I guess you haven’t been keeping up with the news!
Elizabeth blinked, confused. “What news?”
She quickly pulled out her phone to check if there was any news about Kyle.
