Unrepairable Love
Chapter 641
Felix nodded. “Yes,”
“Don’t you think Esme is like how I used to be?” Elizabeth asked Fel with a smile.
Felix curled his lip. “You’re much better than her.”
“No, I’m even more shameless than she is.” Elizabeth smiled brightly at Felix.
Felix couldn’t see Elizabeth’s smile, he only felt that beneath it was world of heartache,
Elizabeth wasn’t really smiling, she was clearly tearing open her own wounds in self–mockery,
“Let’s go then,” Felix said.
Elizabeth nodded.
She looked at Alexander again, who was standing right in front of her, saying nothing.
Today, Alexander was dressed very simply, in casual clothes. It seemed he hadn’t gone to work.
Elizabeth remembered that he had said he went to the mall, thinking he actually had the leisure to do that.
Elizabeth gave him a faint smile and turned to leave.
“Elizabeth,” Alexander finally called her.
Elizabeth stopped and looked at him with Felix.
“Can I show you something?” Alexander looked at Elizabeth, his demeanor completely different from when he was with Esme.
Elizabeth raised an eyebrow. “What?”
Considering how quickly Alexander had come over today, she was willing to take a look.
She had no other intention in calling Alexander over, she just wanted him to see Esme clearly. To see how despicable Esme was, always claiming she wanted to kill her.
And to let Alexander know how naive he used to be, believing Esme’s lies time and again.
Alexander took out something wrapped in kraft paper from the car.
It was flat, and it looked like a box, or maybe a painting?
Elizabeth frowned as Alexander walked up to her with the item.
She smelled a faint scent of smoke on him.
Alexander must have been smoking a lot recently, because he never reeked the smell of smoke.
Elizabeth watched Alexander’s face as he carefully unwrapped the package.
She lowered her head and saw a painting.

The back of the painting faced Elizabeth, so she couldn’t see the image.
Until Alexander turned it around.
Elizabeth’s eyes trembled slightly. Her hand in her pocket slowly clenched, then she looked at Alexander. “It’s quite nice.”
It was a sunset painting.
Elizabeth’s memories flooded her mind, pulling her harshly to the edge of a cliff.
It was the painting she had dragged Alexander to make on her birthday.
But it wasn’t the one she had painted.
“I’m really clumsy, and I can’t paint like you,” Alexander tooked at the sunset in the painting and said, “I can’t even draw a round
sun.”
Elizabeth paused.
That year, she had said the same thing, “Alexander, why can’t I even draw a round sun?”
“I really can’t draw it round.” Alexander looked at Elizabeth.
Elizabeth bit her lower lip.
She was just trying to make Alexander a little happier back then.
And she had learned to paint as a child, how could she not draw a round sun?
Elizabeth gave a bitter smile. “So you went to the mall to paint.”
“Yes, I always felt something was missing behind the sofa.” Alexander smiled. “It turned out it was this.”
“That’s good. You’re so busy with work, and you need to let yourself relax a bit.” Elizabeth lowered her head. “If there’s nothing else, I’ll head back.”
She could almost picture Alexander painting.
Unfortunately, Alexander wasn’t by her side.
“Elizabeth, can you help me refine this painting? It’s too ugly.” Alexander looked at Elizabeth, his voice soft and cautious.
