But because of Cecil’s kindness and attention, I got to eat meals 1 enjoyed during my toughest times.

I chuckled. “Alright, got It.”
Just then, the driver arrived. Cecil handed over the keys. “I’m off. You should head up.”
When I got upstairs, the living room was empty. Christopher wasn’t there.

Elissa squinted at me, then wrapped her arms around me, letting me change her clothes. “Hope, my dear, no one can bully you. I’ve got your back… and your front, and your sides!”

“Was Christopher at your place last night?” she demanded.
I leaned back in my chair, puzzled for a second.
I said with a cold tone, “Shouldn’t you know where he went? Wasn’t you who called him away?”
“Stop pretending, Hope. You don’t really want a divorce,” Evelyn sair closing the door. Her expression was still gentle, but her eyes were cold. “Do you even know why Christopher married you? Do you really think he listens to Bentley that much?”
