Chapter 30 The Crazy Woman’s Back to Steal the Car
Christopher stood there, looking all cool with one hand in his pocke radiating natural authority. From my angle, I could see his Jays locked on Evelyn. They did look like the perfect couple.
The salesperson was all smiles, practically glowing. “Mr. Valence, this car is perfect for a lady. It’s easy to drive and comfortable. Mrs. Valence will love it.
Hearing that, Elissa got furious and started to march over. I could feel the bitterness rising in my chest, so I grabbed her arm.
“Elissa, let it go.”
With Christopher backing them, we wouldn’t get anywhere. No poln in making a scene.
Elissa swallowed her anger. “Fine, let’s just pay and get out of here. Cut of sight, out of mind.”
After settling the bill, the service advisor led us to the front of the store to see the car. After all the repairs, it looked brand new, no
trace of the accident left.
“Wait here, I need use the restroom,” Elissa said, rushing off.
I chuckled and decided to wait in the car. As soon as I got in, I heard a clear voice command, “I want that one!”
Whatever. Not my problem. I shut the door, planning to leave as soon as Elissa gut back. But instead of Elissa, the salesperson
knocked on my window.
I rolled it down a bit, annoyed. “What is it?”
“Excuse me, a customer wants to see your car. Is that okay?”
“It’s not just to look. I want to buy it,” Evelyn said sweetly but firmly. “We have money. Name your price.”
The salesperson looked at me, clearly uncomfortable. “What do you think?”
“No way,” I said, rolling the window back up.
Elissa had just gotten the windows tinted for privacy so no one could see inside. But Evelyn wasn’t giving up. She strutted over in her high heels and started talking like she was doing me a favor.
“Miss, this is a great deal for you. You can take the money and buy a brand–new car. Why not take the opportunity?”
“This color isn’t available in the store. I need it now and can’t wait. Im sure you’re reasonable and will sell it to me.”
Evelyn knocked on the window again, her voice still sweet but condescending. “Do you know who I’m with? He’s the CEO of the Valence Group. Selling me this car isn’t just about the money; it’s about gaining his favor.”
“Ms. Valence,” Elissa suddenly appeared behind Evelyn, her voice dripping with sarcasm. ‘Can’t you stop this? At night, you steal Someone’s husband. During the day, you steal necklaces. Now, you’re after cars?”
“You! What’s your name again?” Evelyn snapped, unable to remembe Elissa’s name.
“Elissa, a good friend of Christopher’s wife, Elissa said loudly, glaring at Evelyn and then at Christopher, who was standing not far
away.
The salesperson looked shocked, clearly sensing some juicy gossip. For the first time, Christopher’s indifferent expression changed, his brows furrowing slightly. “Where’s Hope?”

That’s funny,” Elissa sneered, knocking on the car. “She is stuck in the car because you are trying to force her to sell it. And you’re asking me where she is?”

Elissa almost exploded with anger, rolling her eyes so hard they might have gotten stuck. Just as she was about to lash out, Christopher stepped in.
He pulled Evelyn aside, his voice cold. “Are you crazy? This is Hopear.”
“Didn’t you buy it with your money? Evelyn retorted.
