TREVER: Once Kes gets done with the introduction, it did not escape my notice that she didn’t introduce us as mates. I
know why, so I’m not upset with her, just the situation, and I am going to rectify it. “What Kes left out of the introductions
is the fact that she and Mackinzie are mated to me and Dutch, we are both 18 and we know they are our mates, but as
they are not 18 yet they cannot feel the bond.” I tell the group. And get a death glare from Barrett. “Yes, Barrett I know,
but Kes says they are trustworthy, so I am going to trust her word here.” I say to my brother. “I am the one that asked to
have a meeting, I was not expecting extras, but I am thinking since she said you are trustworthy, it may not be such a bad
idea, the more minds on this the better.” I say. “What’s up little brother?” Trent asked. “I want a way to be able to link
with Kes. I know I can’t mark her yet, so that is out, but she and Mackie have made a blood oath to each other, and I am
thinking of doing that with her, in order to be able to link with her, but we don’t know what the ramifications might be.” I
stated. I noticed Star look at Kes. “I didn’t know you did that.” She states. “No one knows Star, except for Liam, and now
all of you, Nana, and one other person.” She says softly. “How is that possible?” One of the twins asked. “What part?” she
asked back. “The fact that you were able to do it without anyone knowing about it?” he says. “That part was easy, no one
pays attention to us, plus we are in the same pack, so, we both still answer to father, but she answers to me first, but she
knows that if father tells her she has to do something she does it, and I would never take advantage of telling her to go
against father, we don’t have a death wish.” She says. “So, what’s the issue?” Barrett asked. “Just that we don’t know
what would happen, I am not in the same pack, so we don’t know what that would be like, or if it would even work.” I
say. “I don’t see what the issue would be, I mean wouldn’t be like being inducted into a pack? Let’s face it when we get
home, we are going to have to induct all the new mates into our pack, so why wouldn’t it be the same?” “Exactly, but
there in is some of the problem, once you induct them, they are no longer part of their old pack, I don’t want to get
them into trouble, and I don’t want the Alpha to be able to know what we did.” “If they are going to do that, so am I.”
Liam pipes up. I know this has been a sore spot for him. “Keska, what exactly did you do, and how did you do it?” Rachell
asked. “We did like in the human world, when they say they are blood brothers, or sisters, we cut our hands and held
them together for about maybe 2-3 minutes.” She answers her. “Did you say anything?” she asked again. “Just that I
always promise to have her back and she mine.” She answers again. “I may just have an idea, I don’t know if it will work,
but there’s no way to know unless we try.” Rachell says. “What’s your idea?” I asked her. “Because right now I’m about to
try anything and everything.” “Calm down Trever.” Barrett says. “You can still mark her, without the matting mark.” Alisha
says We all turn in her direction. “What do you mean?” “Please hear me out, we have some incredibly old texts in our
pack, they date back to before our pack was a pack, and we have been there for almost 100 years. But anyway, I was
doing a paper for school when I came across them. If you bite her, not on her marking spot, but say on the soft part of
her arm, she still carries your mark, but you haven’t marked her as your mate. It was done as a way to be able to
communicate between several packs that were going to go to war against a common enemy of all the packs, each head
warrior and each Alpha carried several marks, if I remember the text right, they were doing a coordinated strike from all
sides at once and need to be able to communicate the plans to each other, without blending the packs.” She says. “I
didn’t know that could happen.” I say. “I don’t think many do, and I don’t know if it last forever, or just until the wound
heals over completely naturally, I mean without your wolf’s healing ability that is.” She says. “And it’s not like you have a wolf.” She says to Kes. And Kes just smiles at her in response. “Why not, I already have scars that won’t go away.” Kes
replies. “What?” I hear coming from my brothers.
TREVER: Kes pulls her short sleeve up and shows her scars from when her other grandmother grabbed her. We all hear an
extremely low but menacing growl coming from the back porch. We all look in the direction and see Lilly standing there, with her eyes flashing. OUCH, we all just sort of freeze. “It’s ok Cinder, she will never be able to hurt me again.” Keska is
quick to go to Lilly and speak softly to her wolf. “And you say she wouldn’t hurt me.” I say out loud, earning Cinder’s
scrutiny, and draw some looks from the others. “What are you talking about?” Trent asked. “During the discussion in the
Alpha’s office, Keska made the comment that Lilly wouldn’t hurt me, I told her yes she would if she thought that I or
anyone else was hurting her.” I said. “This just proves it.” I say nodding in the direction of Lilly and Kes. “What happened
to your arm Keska?” Barrett asked her. “Amanda Sutter, and if she values her life she will stay away from my grand pup.”
That was not Lilly’s voice we hear. Liam just starts to laugh. “Yes Cinder, she will not get the chance to do it again.” Keska
says. And Lilly nuzzles her. “I am sorry Cinder; I did not mean to bring up bad memories.” I say to her. She just turns her
head to look at me with her bright green eyes that seem like they almost glow from within. Then she turns to Liam.
“What are you laughing for?” Cinder asked him. “I know, Nana, but that was funny, I just wish you had kicked her ass that
day.” Liam says. “You found that funny, did you?” she asked him with a glint in her eye. I have a feeling Liam is going to
get a lesson from his grandmother and I am staying out of it. “Do you think Kes thought it was funny? When she had
blood running down her arm because that bi.tch used her wolf’s claws and wouldn’t let go of her? You need to learn to
be respectful pup. Go run that course NOW!” she growls at Liam. I watch as he gets up and heads to the course and
others move out of the way so he can run the course. “Cinder, can we have Lilly back please?” I ask her very politely. She
turns control back over to Lilly. “I don’t know how much you got to hear, but if I mark her some other place other than to mate her, will we be able to link with each other? Do you know?” I asked her. “I would have to read those texts to fully
understand what they did and what they were wanting to accomplish. But I don’t see a reason not to try it if all you are
looking to do is be able to link with her.” She says. “Nana would that work with Jessie as well?” Keska asked, “I really
don’t know about that dear, it might short term, but the only way to repair the familia bond is by redoing the blood
bond.” Lilly says. “I am going to mark her, and I am going to do it here in front everyone present so no one can try to
claim that I marked her in secret, and all the problems that will cause.” I say and I step up next to Keska. “How about
hiding those scars, with one that means something?” I asked her. “Are you sure about this Trever?” she asked quietly. “I
have never been more sure of anything in my life, but I would still do this as well.” I say as I run my thumb over the scar
at the base of her thumb
