LIAM: “I heard that.” I call from the middle of running the course. “I still say if he does it so do I.” I call out. I am not
going to be left out of it. I am going to help protect my sister. I hate the way that mom and dad have ignored her for so
long. I just hope that wherever Jessie ends up that she will be better there than has been here.
LILLY: “Trever, you can’t do the blood oath right now, you will have to wait until she is 18, or they will know that
something happened, as either you will not be able to link your pack, or she will not be able to link us anymore, it is only
because they are of the same pack that it worked for them, and it will work for Liam as well if it is what they both want.” I
tell him. “See, even Nana says it would be ok.” Liam calls out from his second go around on the course. I swear that boy,
still being cheeky even when being disciplined. I just shake my head. “Then I will settle for marking her the other way, but
either way I am going to be able to link with her.” He says with determination.
BARRETT: “Miss Lilly, may we meet Cinder?” I asked her, I have been curious to meet her, especially with the Marsh talks
about her. “Why would you want to meet her?” she asked with a hint of curiosity to her voice. “It’s just the Marsh talks
about you all the time, I sometimes think he may be a bit scared, or enamored, not sure which.” I tell her. And she laughs
a good hearty laugh. “Or maybe both.” She says. She walks to the side of the house and when she comes back, she has
shifted into her wolf. She is magnificent, she is black, white, and tan, with a black outline of what looks like an ember on
her left flank that is tannish in color, and she has the brightest green eyes I have ever seen on a wolf. “You have the
ember birth mark.” Rachell says. She just nod her head. She turns and walks over to Keska and nuzzles her. “Can I be
done now Nana?” Liam calls out. Cinder just let out a yip at him and he comes back over to join the rest of us. “Are you
still able to run the course in wolf form?” Trent asked? And to answer him she just took off at a dead run right at the
course and ran it with ease, and was back to us in less time than the girls would have run it in. “Wow. No wonder Marsh
talks about you the way he does.” I say. She just nods her head. With all of us sitting around admiring Cinder Trever took
the opportunity under the watchful eye of Cinder to bite Keska’s shoulder and lick the wound close.
BLAKE: “I remember hearing about that battel between the packs, but I never heard about the marking part of it.” I say
out loud. “What do you remember?” Rachell asked. “That there were 4 packs going against 1, but that one was bad,
almost evil.” “Do you remember what pack it was? Or what happened to cause the war to happen?” My mate asked. “I
remember that the pack was Stone Claw.” Before I could finish what, I was going to say Keska interrupts me. “Wait, do say
anything else please, I think alpha Camron need to hear what you have to say.” She tell me. “Ok.” I say and watch as she
pulls out her phone and makes a call.
CAMRON: My phone is vibrating in my pocket, and I take it out, check the ID, and see that Keska is calling me. I look
around to see where everyone is around me, and decide to step away to take her call, and I pull my Mate with me. “Hello
Keska, how may I help you this time?” I answer my phone with a slight chuckle in my voice. “You know your new pack
member, and where she is from, well there is some history that I think you may need to hear on their pack.” I hear her say
in a very business type voice. “Ok, where are you?” “Nana’s” “We will be there in 5 minutes.” I tell her and hang
up. “Problems?” Cortney, my mate asked me. “Not at the moment, but there could potentially be later.” I tell her. “You wanted to meet Keska, well now you get the chance, and her famous grandmother, at least according to Chase my driver
and guard.” I tell her. I see the smirk on her face with the reference to Chase. “Well let’s go then.” She says. I get Chase’s
attention. “We are going to Lilly’s.” I say, and his eyes light up like a kid in a candy store. I just shake my head at him, but we head to Lilly’s house. As we approach the side gate I call out. “Keska I’m here with my mate and Chase.” “We are in
the back yard.” She calls back. And Chase leads the way to the side gate, and we enter the back yard and see all three
princes their mates the Cold Moon twins and their mate, Dutch, Mackie, Keska, Liam, and a wolf I have never seen before,
and Stephen. The wolf is sitting next to Keska. “Hello everyone, I am Camron alpha of Harvest Moon, this is my mate
Cortney from Black Waters, and my guard and driver Chase. I make the introductions on my side.
BARRETT: “Nice to meet you alpha Camron, luna Cortney, Chase. I am Prince Barrett, Heir to the throne of the Golden Sun
Pack, my mate alpha born Alisha from Dark Moon Pack, my brothers Trent, Trever, their mates alpha born Rachell from
Burning Ember Pack, you already know Keska, royal 3rd born Gamma Dutch his mate Mackinzie from here, and of course
Liam, also from Blue Cresent. I make the introductions for us. He shakes hands with each of us in turn as I make the
introductions.
BLAKE: I make the introductions for us. “I am Blake, first alpha born, Cold Moon Pack, my twin Blane, our mate Beta born
Star from here. He shakes hands with us as I make the introductions.
CAMRON: “Nice to make your acquaintances, some of you I have met before, but I know my mate has not had the
opportunity to meet you yet, so thank you for the formal introductions.” I say after everyone was introduced. “I am
assuming the wolf is Lilly?” “Yes, this is Cinder, she is Nana Lilly’s wolf.” Keska introduces her. “Hello Cinder.” I say. She
nods her head in my direction and then goes and starts to stalk Chase playfully. I just have to chuckle at that. “So now
that all the introductions are done, what’s the topic up for discussion?” I asked, “Stone Claw.” Keska says. “Okay…?” I
draw it out with a bit of a question in my voice.
KESKA: I look to the twins and Star, “I know that you don’t owe me any allegiance, but I still would ask that what I say
stays here with us.” I ask them. All three nod in my direction. “The others know this already, as they were part of the
original incident. There was a she-wolf that was close to pack territory, not on it but close to it, she was in trouble, we
heard the fighting when we were on our way to our Aikido lessons at the dojo.” I say as I point to the princes, Dutch, and
their mates. “Prince Barrett, Prince Trent, and Alpha Rachell went to investigate the fighting, they saved the she-wolf and
her pup.” “But long story short, that she-wolf is mated to one of alpha Camron’s warriors, she is from Stone Claw,and her
story is not a good one. I will not repeat it, for it is not mine to do so, and I doubt that she would appreciate it. But as I
know everyone here for the most part, I know that none of you would tolerate what happened to her in that pack, she
lost a good friend yesterday as he was trying to help protect her and they killed him, please don’t ask the obvious
question, as I do not know the answer to it. I just know that they were not rouges. But in turn the princes and Rachell
dispatched the ones that had killed her friend. I gave her sanctuary in the old hunting cabin in the north woods.” I finish
telling the story. “So, since the topic is Stone Claw, even though it is past history I felt that alpha Camron should be aware
of it, as we all know history has a habit of repeating itself, and if we need to be on the same page for this, I would rather we start it now rather than later so to be ahead of the game so to speak.” I say.
