JESSIE: My alarm goes off and I get up I go take a shower and get dressed in an ombre effect sundress with spaghetti straps it complements my eye color beautifully. I head downstairs, the kitchen is already busy with the omegas, starting with the breakfast, I sneak into the back pantry and get the ingredients I need to make Keska’s smoothie, I get everything all blended up and put it in the fridge with her name on it. And then sneak back out and go out front and wait and watch.
KESKA: I am awake before my alarm goes off and I shut it off before it goes off and wakes the others, I shimmy out from under Trever’s arms, I go use the bathroom and head to the kitchen, to start making us breakfast. I see that James brought us bacon, so I pull it out and start to fry it, and I also see that he brought pancake mix and eggs, so I mix up some egg cakes, and also some scrambled eggs. I start the coffee for the guys. Mackie comes into the kitchen area next, and she gets the plates and silverware out and sets the table. The next thing I know I have strong arms wrapping around me, I look over and I see that Dutch has Mackie wrapped up as well. “Moring beautiful.” Trever says as he kisses my shoulder. “Morning.” I say back. “Did you sleep well, considering we slept on the floor?” I asked him “I always sleep well when I have you in my arms.” He says making me blush again, but at least this time he can’t see it, as he is behind me. “Ok flirt, you need to let me go, so I can finish breakfast, and it doesn’t burn.” I say to him “Humm.” He just hums at me but doesn’t release me, but he dose let me continue to cook at least. “What are you making?” he asked, “Scrambled eggs, bacon, wrapped in an egg cake.” “What’s an egg cake?” “It’s a thinner version of a pancake, but thicker than a crepe.” I tell him. “I did it this way so you guys can eat it on the go, as you will need to get back to the pack house, before breakfast is over, and you can be seen, without me.” I say to them. “About that, I think that I will have a word with your father, I don’t like the idea of him saying that you left with your mate, maybe rather he sent you to stay at Burning Ember until the ball is over.” “Well, you won’t be able to tell him that if you are here, and Jessie gets to him first.” I tell him. He just growls, but lets me go and goes and gets ready, when they come back into the kitchen I turn a bright red, and look away, they are both naked. “I thought you both were going to get dressed.” I say. I hear them both chuckle, “Why would we get dressed just to undress again when we shift to get back to the pack house?” “Ohhh! You.” I scold. And they laugh even harder. They take the egg, and bacon wraps and head out. “We will see you later Beauties.” Both he and Dutch call out as they head to the tree line to shift and head back to the pack house.
TREVER: Dutch and I shift back just inside the tree line, I link with Barrett. *“Hey big bro, are you up?” “Yes.” “But are you up, up.” “Yes Trever I am up, up. What do you need?” “I need to talk with the Alpha, and let him know that the whole marking thing works, and that I don’t like the idea of him saying that Keska left with her mate.” “What’s the matter, little brother, don’t even like the thought that it could be construed as not you?” “If you keep that up big brother I will kick you’re a.ss all the way back home.” “Ok! Ok! Gees chill. So, what exactly do you need from me?” “Do you have eyes on Jessie?” “Yeah, she seems to be watching the kitchen door pretty intently.” “Ok, that means Dutch and I can sneak in through the garden. Thanks.” “Welcome.”* I close the link. I tap Dutch and point to one of the garden doors. He nods his understanding. And we head into the garden. Once inside, I text the Alpha. (“Alpha Drake, Trever here, I would like to speak with you please, it is about something that was discussed yesterday.”) I sent to him, and I waited for his response.
DRAKE: I was just sitting down to start my breakfast when my phone dings. I take it out and see that the youngest prince just texted me. I look around the marquee and I don’t see him anywhere. (“Where are you?”) I send back to him. (“In the garden.”) (“Is Keska with you?”) (“No, she stayed at the cabin.”) (“come into the marquee and have breakfast, then we will go up to my office.”) I send to him. (“Ok.”) I put my phone away and start on my breakfast. I hear one of the garden doors open and when I turn slightly I see Trever and Dutch come in, they both get in line to get breakfast and then come to sit with me. “Alpha, I need to speak to you, before Jessie notices us.” I nod my head for him to speak. “If she should ask, please say that you sent her to Burning Ember, and not that her mate found her, and she went with him.” I just raise my eyebrow at him. He just sounds so desperate; I smile at him and nod my head. He takes a deep breath, like he is relieved, nods back at me. “We will still come to your office later.” He says. And they pick up their plates and go sit with the other princes.
JAMES: I link Wyatt. *“Dude you up?” “Yeah.” “I need you to head down and let me know where Jessie is, so we can come down and eat.” “You got it.”* I close the link and get up and go into the on suite taking Janica with me. As much as I would love to have hot steamy sex with her in the shower, there are other things that have to be delt with right now, so I know I can’t, but it save us time to shower together. I wonder whether dad said yes to Trever or not, about marking Kes. It would be interesting to know whether it actually works or not.
