DRAKE: I link Jessie. “Did you tell your grandmother that you found your mate?” “Yes, daddy I sent her a text this morning.” “Well come greet her and bring your mate with you.” “Yes daddy.” “Jessie will be here shortly with her mate. You will be able to see them off. They aren’t staying for the dance tonight as they have a very long drive ahead of them.” I say to my parents. Then as if on cue, Carson, Carla, and the rest of the kids come to the front of the Pack house. “Mimi!” Lissa comes and gives my mother a hug. “Papa!” and she gives my father a hug. Uncle Carson just nods at her and shakes hands with his brother. “Charles.” Dad shakes his hand and nods to him. James steps forward and introduces Janica in a formal introduction. “Mimi, Papa!” Jessie squeals, as she comes running over to hug both of my parents. “This is Apollo my mate. He is the Alpha of Dark Forest Pack.” I watch as Apollo shakes hands with my parents. “Mr. Mrs. Sutter nice to meet the both of you.” He says. “Thank you for coming all this way just to see us off, but it truly wasn’t necessary, we will be sending out invitations for her Luna ceremony for the month after next.” He tell them. “But of course we had to come and see our girl off.” My mother gushes at him. “And call us Mimi, and Papa, after all you are mated to our grand pup.” Mother says. Again, as if on cue the rest of the Ranked members show up to see Jessie off. Including the Princes, and Lilly, along with a few others, I see Colton and his mate here as well, she goes up to Apollo and hugs him. That must be his sister. This is going to be a shit show. “Do you have everything in order?” I asked Alpha Apollo “Yes as far as I can tell, but if there is a hick up somewhere, I will be in touch to get the appropriate pack information.” “Very good. Mother it’s time to let them be going.” I say. I watch as she hugs Jessie and Apollo and they climb into the SUV and a warrior and his mate get into the truck, we all wave them goodbye as they head out and down to the gates.
TREVER: I see Lilly in the crowd and make my way towards her. “What is she doing here?” I whisper to Lilly. “Didn’t you pay attention? She came just to see Jessie off, because they weren’t staying for the dance tonight.” She whispers back to me. “I was hoping that Kes could come back, I want to dance with her tonight at the dance.” I whisper to her. “There is nothing that says that she can’t come back.” Lilly says to me. “True but with her here it will be hard for Kes.” I say. “Amanda won’t stay long, maybe a day or two at the most, but warn your brothers, she is a leech, and she will try almost anything to get in with the royal pack, or family, plus it would be best that you being Kes’s mate stays quiet.” “I will let them know.” She nods her head. “How is my grand pup by the way?” “She is doing as good as can be expected, and now that Jessie is gone, I think she will be even better, I know she misses you, and being able to run the course, and the archery range, but she is making do.” “I miss her to.” I see her looking around. “Is something wrong?” I ask her “Adrian is not out here; I wonder if Kina is doing ok. I must go check on them.” She says. “I will come with you, if I may, I would like to get to know him a bit better, just for Kes’s sake, plus he seem to be a decent guy.” I say. She nods her head. And we both head into the Pack house and up to Adrian’s suite.
ADRIAN: I have pretty much kept a low profile during this whole thing, I already have my mate, and now Rex has his as well, and now that the twins have shifted and Jessie will be leaving, I believe that we will leave tomorrow as well, so that everyone can take tonight and say goodbye to friends, and enjoy one last night. Plus, with this impending war, with Stone Claw, I think it best that we get home, not to mention Kina being so uncomfortable because of the pup I just want to get her home. I hear a knock on our suite door. I go answer it. Opening it up I am surprised to see Lilly and Trever. “Hello, please come in.” I say to them as I open the door wider. “Is everything ok with Kes?” I ask as they enter. “All is well, you don’t need to worry on that front.” Lilly answers. I nod, “What can I do for you then?” I ask. “I just noticed that you were not down front to see Jessie off, so I was wondering about Kina. By the way, your grandmother is here.” Lilly drops the bomb. “What! Why?” “I guess Jessie told her that she found her mate and that they were leaving and not staying for the dance tonight.” “I had figured on leaving tomorrow as well, Kina is doing ok, but uncomfortable, so I just figured that I would give everyone tonight and we would head out tomorrow after lunch.” “Can I see her?” “Of course.” I lead Lilly to the bedroom and knock on the door. “Babe, Lilly is here she would like to come in and see you.” “Yes Please!” I open the door and usher Lilly in and then close it again. And head back out to the other room. Just as I was going to ask if Trever wanted anything I get a link from my Gamma. *“Your grandmother is here and is demanding your presents.” “Tell the old bat she can wait; Lilly is here looking in on Kina.” “I will tell her.”* “Trouble?” “Just grandmother, and I am used to her. Lilly said that Jessie left?” “Yeah, your grandmother showed up, then about 5 maybe 10 minutes later Jessie and Apollo come walking up. Then about another 10 minutes of them chit chatting and then Apollo and Jessie left. Do you mind if I link my brother’s, and have them come here?” “No go right ahead, the more the merrier.” I tell him and he chuckles. I see his eyes glaze over. “Done. They will be here shortly.” I just nod. “Can I get you anything?” “Just water thanks.” I go into the kitchen area and get several bottles of water and bring them back out, with me so that when the rest of them get here they will be ready for them if they want them. “Do you have any idea who you might get to volunteer for the whole communication issue?” “No, I will just ask for a volunteer.” “What about the royal pack, do you have anyone in mind?” “Usually, it’s the youngest one in the royal family, for something this important, and because we don’t inherit anything, they usually say we are disposable.” He deadpans. “Don’t misunderstand, my parents love me, they love all of us, it’s just the traditions of the royal house, the heir, spare, and any more are disposable. Keeps things simple, and it pretty much keeps expectations in check.” He tells me. “But what did you want to do?” I asked him. “Well before I found my mate in Kes, I wanted to travel, see the world, see and taste the flavors have the experiences, that was, what I wanted to do.” He says. “And now?” I asked him. “Now I just want to be with Kes, whatever she wants is what I want.” “I know her, almost better than anyone besides Mackie, I know that she wouldn’t want you to give up your dream of traveling for her, she still has two years to go, maybe travel, those two years.” I tell him. Before he can answer there is a knock on the door, I go answer it and see the rest of the princes and their mates are standing there. I open the door for them to enter.
