I just kept an eye on her every time she was near Kes. I didn’t trust her in the slightest and I was right not to, thank the goddess that my instincts were right about Kes being both fire and water. I was watching Kes put out the fire through Cinder’s eyes as she had taken over my body before I could fully assess the situation and extended her claws, she broke through Amanda’s rib cage with one punch and ripped her heart out from her back before I could blink. When I looked up, I met the eyes of Trever’s Lycan. Both he and Cinder acknowledge each other before retuning control back to us.
