DUTCH: I pointed to the case where the items were, but I was not going to back over to it with that salesgirl still standing there. “They are in that case, I will let my girl show them to you, I will not be ogled.” I tell the manager. Mackie and the Manager move back to the case where the pieces were on display, and Mackie pointed to the three things she wanted. “Yes we do have them in platinum.” He says, “but they are very expensive, they will run $2800 00 dollars for the three pieces.” He says. “That is fine, I will take them. Please wrap them for me, and do not allow that woman to touch them.” I tell the manager. I step over to the register to pay for the items. I wait for the manager to step over with the items Mackie wanted. “Make sure you do something about her.” I say as I hand him the Black credit card. I see him visibly blanch as he sees that it’s from Golden Sun Industries. Yes the royal Pack has many business‘ even in the human communities. We are pretty well known. As we leave the store I put my arm around Mackie and pull her in for a kiss, I don’t care who sees it.
TREVER: “Hey, what happened to the two of you?” I asked when I see them. “We did a little jewelry shopping, and the salesgirl was not very professional.” Dutch says. “What do mean?” “Well, she didn’t know if some of their merchandise came in platinum, which I can understand, but when we asked her to get the manager she just stood there and stared at me, and then proceeded to hit on me openly. Then the manager thought that I wouldn’t be able to pay for the things that Mackie had picked out. I am not happy with that place.” Dutch seethes at me about them. “What store was it?” I asked him. He gave me the name of the store, and I sent a text to Barrett to investigate them, check the security footage, from their store to see if it was a one–time thing or if it is a chronic on- going issue. I want to go in there now, just to see for myself, how bad it is. I take Kes by the hand and pull her into the store, I wasn’t there when she turned 16 so I to want to get her something, so why not. “Trever, what are you doing?” “I just want to see, and I want to get you something special too.” She shakes her head at me. We walk into the store, we were not greeted, nor acknowledged at all. I walk around the store looking at the jewelry they have on display. “Babe, come look at this.” I was pointing to a gaudy ring.
KESKA: I couldn’t help myself. “Oh god no Trever, I wouldn’t wear that piece of junk if they paid me.” I said with a hint of distaste to my voice. I could see the mischief in his eyes. “Look around Sweetheart, I missed your birthday, so I want to get you something special.” He says rather loudly. I shake my head at him. Then I see a piece in a case that I can’t stay away from, it’s almost as if someone took a picture of Corla and made a pendent of her head. “Trever.” I whisper because I can’t get the words out. I take ahold of his hand and point to it. “But it’s got to be a small fortune.” I whisper to him, but I can’t take my eyes off the pendent. Trever steps up to the counter to get the attention of a salesperson. A girl, in her twenties, comes over to him. “How may I help you?” She asked him. “What is that Wolf pendent made of?” he asked her. While pointing at it. “White Gold and a mix of Swarovski crystals, garnets, and emeralds for the eyes.” She tell him. “I want a platinum chain for it to go on.” He says. As he turns to look at her. She stumbles and puts her hand to her chest “Oh my, where did you come from handsome.” She says to Trever. I just about choked, on my laughter. This must be the same salesperson that waited on Dutch and Mackie. Trever ignores her. “Babe, come pick out a chain for it.” He says to me. I step up to the counter where the chains are displayed, there is one that looks like it was crocheted, in a very simple chain crochet, but very pretty, I don’t know how it was done but I like it. I pointed to it. And He nodded. Then he turned back to the girl, “Does this chain come in platinum?” He asked her. Yes, Handsome all our chains come in all the metals.” She says. “Are you trying to hit on me?” He asked her. “No, but I could. I’m sure I could show you a good time.” She says leaning into him. “No! I don’t think you could!” he says back to her; “I don’t think that you have what it takes to give me the tingles that my girl can.” He says as he reaches out to me and pulls me in close to him, and with just a hint of his aura, he sends a shiver through me and himself at the same time, that it makes it visible. “Trever.” I moan. And he grins from ear to ear. As he leans in to kiss me right there in the store right in front of her. I just smile up at him. “Now I want that pendent and I want that platinum chain.” He says pointing to the one I chose. The girl just stares at him, “I’m sure I can give you a better ride than she can.” The girl leaned in, to whisper to Trever. He stepped back immediately. “Excuse You! Where is the manager! I wish to speak to the manager now.” Trever just bellows out. We see a middle–aged man come from the back. “I am the manager; how may I help you.” He says calmly, “This woman thinks she can openly flirt with your customers, she propositioned me in front of my fiancée, I don’t appreciate it!” Trever said. I stepped closer to him and put my hand on his arm to help keep him calm. “I came in here to find a gift for her, as I missed her birthday, and I get this!” He says as he waves his hand up and down at the salesgirl. “I am terribly sorry sir, what is it that you wish to purchase?” “That wolf head pendant, the one with all the crystals and gems on it, and I want a platinum chain.” He points to the one I picked out. 2
