Chapter 250
TREVER: Keska’s birthday was probably the best she has ever had. The colony gave her their traditional birthday, with the whole colony there to give her wishes, not presents, but wishes for good health and well–being. Lilly got her a book on healing herbs, and Dutch and I got her more arrows. Mackie got her special paper to be used in the book, which Liam made for her. Uncle Carson showed up with a brand–new SUV. And gave it to her, he said it was a trade, as he would need to take the car to get back with. I watched as her face lit up with each new gift. But the best is still yet to come. We are finally ready to take everybody back to the new Pack. Ellion has asked to join us, and I have accepted. He can continue with Kes’s training, and if the pup shows signs of having Kes’s abilities, he will be able to help train it as well. I know that Dutch and I didn’t have much of a birthday to speak of this year, we were both born in February, but with us being busy going between the apartment building and the new Pack, it was worth it. We have the training arena set up, with an obstacle course. We built an arcade. We have started building the school, but that isn’t done yet. But soon. We will celebrate fully next year. But it is time to get everybody loaded and back on the road. It will take us a couple of days to get everyone back and settled.
APOLLO: The twins were born the week after our high school’s graduation. The girl is me made over, with Jessie’s smile, the boy is my mother made over, with Jessie’s eyes. To me, they are gorgeous. I never thought that I could love anyone as much as I loved my mate, but my heart has swelled for them. They are my whole world. I would kill for them if I had to.

KESKA: I am so overwhelmed and surprised, I don’t know how, but Dutch and Trever pulled it off and got us our own Pack. I love him more than I thought I could ever love anybody. I love the Pack house with its hexagon shape. One of the first things Corla insisted on was to scent mark our territory and visually mark it with three slash marks; to tell all others they were crossing a boundary. The second thing we had to do was name our new Pack, and since we were in the middle of three lakes, we took a vote and, by majority, The Three Lakes Pack was born. One of our new members works with wood, and she made our ceremonial cup for us. Spinning and carving it from a thicker branch of one of the trees they used to build the place. We set up an area behind the Pack house, and with Nana Lilly and Papa Charles as elders to officiate, we initiated everyone as a new member into our new Pack. Each member came forward and stated their name and their old Pack, then they swore allegiance to us and the new Pack. We cut their hands and let three drops of blood fall on the ground, and one into the cup. Once everyone had sworn their oaths, Trever and I did the same, swearing to protect the Pack and to be fair and just rulers. Then we both took a swallow of the blood in the cup and dumped the rest on the ground to mingle with the rest of it. Tying us to the land that we claimed
as ours.
JESSIE: The pups were born, and I couldn’t help it; I was so disappointed. Our baby girl was perfect, she was the spiting image of her daddy, but our boy looked too much like that bitch sister of mine and his bitch mother, she was always nagging about me to Apollo, telling him that I wasn’t doing my duties for the Pack.I have been doing my duties, just not in the order she thinks they should be done. This is my Pack now as well, and I do know how to do my duties. It’s been almost a year already; in three more days, I will be 19. I am organizing a party to celebrate. I have invited some of the Packs from the ball and some of the Alphas and their mates from the smaller Packs. Cold Moon Pack, Blake, Blane, and Star. Dark Moon Pack, Marcus, and Simone. Dutch Wood Pack, Colton, and Krystal, Apollo’s sister. Black Water Pack. Lex and Renae. Midnight Sky Pack. Simon and Leasha. At least his bitch mother isn’t whining about the party. 5 Packs from the ball and another 3 of the neighboring small Packs. I have made sure that we have rooms ready for them when they arrive.
APOLLO: I don’t mind the party, it will give me a chance to reconnect with my sister and do a bit of networking, discuss issues, and possibly make trade agreements and connections. That is also why my mother doesn’t mind. She understands that even though Jessie is doing this for her own reasons, I can take advantage of it and hopefully do some good for the Pack, and introduce the twins as my heir. That might piss Jessie off, but everybody will be here, and we can’t afford to have a separate party for that, so I plan on killing two birds with one stone.
JESSIE: Midnight Sky was the first to arrive, and I introduced them to Apollo and his family. I showed them to their room and asked, to catch up with Leasha after they had rested a bit. I know that some of the people I invited won’t speak openly in front of me, but hopefully they will talk among themselves, and I will get the gossip from them. I had rumors that Keska and Mackie had moved; if they did, I needed to know where they went. I am still going to get my revenge for Mimi, and when I am done with Keska, I think I will put my mother–in–law in her place. Bitch. I was very specific in my choices for this party, everyone has some kind of tie to a mate or Pack that has a connection to Keska. I will get my information, and when I do, I will make her pay and pay dearly
for what she did.
STAR: When we got the invitation to Jessie’s party, I didn’t see a way of getting out of it. “Blake, Blane, please come to my office.” I linked both of my mates. A couple of minutes later, there was a knock. “Come.” “What’s up, love?” “We just received an invite to Jessie’s birthday party, and I don’t see a way out of it.” I told them. “Is there a reason we should try to get out of it?” Blake asked.
