DRAKE: Of course she is. *“Keska did you even go to the graduation ceremony?”* I linked her. *“Yes, father I did, not that
anyone would have cared. I sat with Nana at the back so we wouldn’t disturb anyone, as soon as Jessie cleared the stage we left, I promised we would help with dinner, and unlike some people we keep our word.”* Even that was delivered
emotionlessly. I have messed up with her big time. *“You need to come join the family now. The staff can finish.” “Yes
father.”* I close the link.
KESKA: “Time to go join the masses.” I tell Mackie. “Who were you linking?” “First James and then father.” “Oh well if
Alpha says we need to go then I guess we had better go.” “Indeed.” We leave my room and head downstairs to join
everyone in the family room. We walk in and take seats, say hi to those around us and wait for whatever is supposed to
happen to happen. We were sitting there for about 15 minutes, when Jessie starts griping “where is she, god is she going
to make us wait forever?” “Who are you talking about Jessie?” Star asked, “Our stupid sister, we are waiting on her after
all.” “ENOUGH! JESSIE!” Father roared at her. I was shocked, he has never done that before. Well except that time in his
office. “She has been here for the last 15 minutes Jessie.” Star told her. I just sat there looking at her.
LIAM: I just busted out laughing, I couldn’t help it. I saw when she walked in and sat down Star seen her too, but James
Jessie, Lissa dad and mom totally missed it.
LISSA: *“What are you laughing at?”* I linked Liam. *“The fact that she has been here for the last 15 minutes, and Jessie
has had no clue.” “She should have said something knowing we were waiting for her.” “And how was she supposed to
know we were waiting for her? Did you tell her? Did James tell her? Did dad tell her? Nobody ever waits for her, so how
was she supposed to know. You are becoming more like Jessie every day.”* I close the link and just glare at him.
LIAM: I just laughed harder after my chat with my sister. I just couldn’t help it I was in the middle of a full on laughing fit.
KESKA: “Liam are you ok?” I asked him, but he just kept laughing, then Star started to laugh, then Blake and Blane started
to laugh, Josh and Leasha, joined in the laughter, Colton, Janica, and Wyatt all started to laugh as well even James was
smiling. Mackie and I were smirking but not outright laughing. I seen that Lissa was glaring at Liam. “Liam, breath shallow
breaths.” I try coaching him to help the laughing fit he was in. “Shallow breaths, ok?” He was nodding his head at me. I
got up and went to the buffet counter and got him some water, brought it back and helped him. “Small sips, I don’t want
you choking because you swallowed wrong.” After about another 10 minutes to get everyone calmed down and we were
off to Nana’s. When we get there, I show everyone to the back yard, then I go ask Nana if she needs me to help her with
anything. “No, my dear just go have fun with everyone.” When I got back outside, I noticed that the target wolf was
gone. *“Nana, the target is gone.”* I link her. *“Yes dear that is for you to work on not for everyone else to try, remember
it’s a closely guarded family secret for a reason.” “Yes Nana.”* I close the link.
JESSIE: “So where do we start?” I asked out loud. “Where do you want to start?” Nana asked back. “I will start at the
porch and run it that way.” “Very well, just remember to incorporate every piece of the course.” She tells me. “Thank you Nana I got this.” I say to her.
KESKA: I go to the balance beam in the middle of the course and head in the opposite direction of Jessie. I know how to
run the course, and I also know she will take the easier way through it, I am going to go up and over her without her
evening knowing where I am. Nana shouts “GO!” and we both take off. I hit the center of the balance beam and turn left
on it, walk-run to the end take a leap and grab the swinging rope, I get it to swing harder and then threw my weight at
the high poles, there were 5 of them I slide half way down the first pole and then leaped to the next one I use it to launch
myself at the next one, going sideways across the poles, kind of like the bike in the cage going round and round really
fast. Then I launch myself at the rings, which there were 6 of, swinging over to the rope on the opposite side from where I
started, I wrap my leg in the rope to slow it down, hand over hand down it and leap to the balance beam on the right
side and walk-run to the center and step off. I turned to see where Jessie was in her progress, and she was just getting to
the rope at the left side of the course and hadn’t even touched the balance beam yet. I go inside to get us each a bottle
of water and come back out with them. “I won; I told you all she was a loser.” I walk over to her and offer her the water. I
don’t say anything because she is just hurting herself and in front of company, she is more and more like Mimi every day.
She looks at me like I have two heads when I offer her the water, and she just snatches it from me.
LIAM: I knew Jessie would pull some crap, so I recorded it to show her that Kes. In fact, was the winner and she had to
pay up. “No way, there is no way she could have won! She must have cheated.” “No, she didn’t, she won fair and square.
Pay up, I believe you owe me $20.00 and Adrian $20.00.” I tell her. (Inside I am jumping for joy for Kes, I am so happy for
her.)
JAMES: Seeing that Jessie was about to through a fit, I link her. *“Let it go Jessie or you are going to embarrass yourself in
front of everyone.” “But how is it that she won! With out cheating?” “You have to remember that she has been running
this course since Adrian’s swearing in ceremony, that’s why, she knows it.” “Just pay up and be a good sport and don’t
act like Mimi.”* I close the link. “I think I will give it a try next.” I say out loud.
KESKA: We all spend the next couple of hours at Nana’s running the course, Nana even ups the hardness degree a bit
and puts the swinging bags over the balance beam, Mackie and I have run it with them in play before, so even with them
we still came out on top. It is getting late, around 9:30ish when Nana finally calls it. “All right Kids, time to be done, the
sun is down, and I don’t want anybody getting hurt.” She calls out to all of us.
