her. “Sure, got a deck of cards?” “I think I can find one around here somewhere.” “Good we can play cribbage, I brought

KESKA: It’s around 4:30ish when I wake up, I’m a little confused about where I am. I look around and see that I am in my
room. But I don’t remember how I got here. Oh well. I look around and find my phone, I need to call Adrian, because I’m
sure no one let him know what happened. I open my phone, see his number, and hit send. “Hey Kes, is everything all
right?” “I just needed to call because I’m sure no one let you know what happened to me, and I would rather you hear it
from me than through the rumor mill.” “What happened Kes?” “I was stabbed yesterday late morning during training.” I
told him. “What do you mean stabbed? Did they catch who did it?” “No, but there is more to it.” “There always is. Tell me
what happened.” “Someone call rouge attack north border, then there was total chaos, that’s when I got stabbed, it may
have just been an accident.” I say. “I doubt that. Are they at least investigating?” “Yes I believe they are.” “How are you
doing?” He asked me. “I am OK, recovering, a little sore, and I have to take it easy for a few weeks, due to the stitches,
but all in all good.” “Kina and I will be there for your birthday on Wednesday, and we have news to share.” “Can’t wait.”
“We will see you, take it easy, ok?” “I will. Bye.” “Bye.” I hang up. And I hear my door open and see Liam poke his head in.
“Oh, good your awake. Can Mackie and I come in?” “Of course.” They both enter my room and close the door. Liam
comes right over and climbs onto the bed with me. He puts his head in my lap, and just hugs my legs. “Kes don’t ever
leave me.” And his tears start. “Hey, hey, Sshh, Liam I’m not going anywhere buddy. I’m right here. Ok?” “But you almost
did.” He cried. I just lightly rocked him until he was cried out. I looked at Mackie, she too looked like she was ready to cry.
I patted the bed on the other side of me for her to come and sit next to me. She came and sat down on the bed as well,
and put her head on my shoulder. We all stayed that way until mom came to get me for dinner and seen the three of us
there. “Ok you three, time for dinner, Mackie you need to let your parents know where you are.” “Yes Luna.” Mackie’s
eyes glaze over so she was doing what Mom told her.
MACKIE: I linked Mom.* “I am at the pack house with Keska, Luna said I should link you to let you know.” “Is your sister
still there?” “I will find out, just a minute.”* “Mom wants to know if Demi is still here.” “Tell her yes, she is downstairs with
Lissa. And we don’t mind having you both stay for dinner.” Luna says. *“Yes, mom Demi is still here with Lissa, Luna says
that we are welcome to stay for dinner.” “Alright.”* “Thank you, Luna and mom says yes.” “Good, now all three of you get
ready for dinner.” She then leaves Keska’s room. Liam follows her out. “All she did was ask about Demi; she didn’t care where I was.” I stated to her. “I know, I get it.” She answers me back. And she does
