CAMRON: “Why do you suspect she has this poison/toxin?” I asked her. “I mate told me that every elemental has some form of a poison/toxin as a defense mechanism, no matter what shape they took. On top of whatever their natural form could or would afford them.” She tells me. I nod. “Does it make us immune to the ice or ash?” I asked her. “No, but with training she can control them, but the toxin from her bite, is a bit more complicated, and for that we will eventually need to go to my mates‘ people.” I nod my understanding. “And she knows nothing about any of it does she?” “No, and it scares her.” “She trusts her special friend to guide her for now, that is why she did mark Trever, but also why she was a bit hesitant, she knows that she may have the toxin, but not sure if, when, or how it will affect people, or if it will happen with every bite, which is where her training will need to kick in.” Lilly says. “I will make sure to stop by, when we leave.” I tell her. And she nods.
ADRIAN: After I get my grandfather to his room, I return to the marquee to go in search of my mate, I need to check on her to make sure that she was ok, I know that Amanda’s death wasn’t going to affect her, per say, except in the shocking way that it happened. I just need to find her. I don’t spot her at first, so I link her. “Love, where are you? And are you ok?” “I am fine, I am on the opposite side of the entry door of the marquee, towards the back away from the speakers.” I close the link and head in her direction. I spot Lilly and Alpha Camron on my way to find Kina and make a detour in their direction. “Lilly, Alpha Camron, Luna Courtney, Stephen.” I greeted them. “Alpha Adrian, I must apologize to you, I am sorry for yours’s and your grandfather’s loss, but I am not sorry that it was me, I warned her, but she didn’t listen, and for that I am sorry.” Lilly tells me. “No need to apologize to me Lilly, I am just as sorry that you had to do what you did, all of us warned her to leave Kes alone, including grandfather.” “Yes, he did mention that.” “When was this?” “Oh, on our way back from the archery tournament, Amanda came up as a pointed topic of conversation. I did tell him that if she did not comply with the wishes of the princes, they would have the right to execute her on the spot, and I asked him if he was ready for that possibility.” Lilly stated. “I hope he does survive; I would hate to lose him.” I say to her. She nods at me. “Will you be leaving tomorrow?” she asked. “I am unsure, it will depend on Kina and grandfather.” I tell her. “How is Kina, with all the excitement surrounding Amanda’s death, I hope it didn’t set her back.” She says. “I don’t think it has, I was just on my way to go find her, when I caught sight of the four of you.” I tell her. “Well, if she needs to have another treatment, don’t hesitate, I am more than happy to help.” She says. “Thank you, I will keep that in mind, but I must go find her.” I say and shake hands with both Camron and Courtney, nod at Stephen. Then leave to find my mate. I continue to walk towards the back of the marquee and to the opposite side that I entered. I finally spot her. “How are you doing love?” I asked her. “I am good, but I was really wanting to have some of that dessert, until Amanda spoiled it.” “Do you want me to see if there is any left anywhere?” I asked her. “Yes please Adrian, those cherries looked absolutely mouthwatering.” I get up and go back the way I came from, as I got closer to the kitchen side I spotted Kes, Mackie, the princes, Dutch, and their mates. “Hello your
highnesses, Dutch, Mackie.” “Adrian!” Keska throughs herself at me, and I catch her. “I am so! So sorry!” she says with tears in her eyes. “Hey! Sweety, come on shh, it’s alright, you didn’t do anything wrong, it was all on Amanda, not you, you have nothing to apologize for.” “Oh goddess, Kina, is Kina ok?” “Yes Kina is just fine, but she is craving some of the dessert that kind of went to the wayside.” “Of course, I will see if Sarah has any left.” “No, I will go see if there is any left, you stay and enjoy the dance.” I tell her. “Do you know if you will be Heaving tomorrow?” “No sweets, it will depend on both Kina and grandfather.” I tell her. She nods and I head into the kitchen. I get one of the omegas to help with getting Kina her
dessert, and I head back to where she is sitting.
KESKA: For some reason I keep hearing splashes and giggling coming from the pool area. “I will be back.” I tell our group. And head towards the pool. “Hu un baby doll not without me.” Trever says. I just shake my head “come on.” I head to the Pool, to see what the heck is going on back there. When we get back there I see Chase, and he is lifting Demi up in his cupped hands to give her a boost, as she takes a dive. I just chuckle at the antics of them all. As another boy comes over to Chase for his turn to get tossed. “How did they talk you into playing in the pool.” I asked Chase. “It wasn’t that hard really, I needed to work through an adrenalin overload from what happened at dinner, so I decided to come hang out with these guys.” “Yes they can definitely work through an adrenalin spike.” I said. Knowing my little brother and sister. I look at Trever, “Want to join them?” I asked him. “In a bit, I want to dance with you some more, before we join them.” He says. “Ok.” “I will let Alpha Camron know that you volunteered to keep the younger ones company.” I tell Chase. “No need, if he needs me, he will link me.” He says. “Ok.” “Hey sis, what you doing back here, I thought you were at the dance.” Liam call out. “I was, but I kept hearing splashing and giggling coming from back here, so I came to investigate, to make sure everything was all copasetic.” I say to him. “Yep all’s good back here.” He says. I smile at him and nod. I turn and head back inside, with Trever right behind me. We rejoin our table. “What’s up?” Mackie asked. “I just kept hearing noises coming from the pool area, so I went to check it out, our younger siblings are having a pool party.” I tell her. She smiles.
