Fall in Love with the Dominant Billionaire
Chapter 123 Been Waiting for You, Darling
In the CEO’s office, Malcolm was deeply engrossed in his document prepping for an imminent contract negotiation.
Nailing this contract meant capping off the year’s targets for Flynn Group, and come year’s end, the shareholders would be sharing a hefty bonus.
Just then, Justin breezed through the door.
“Mr. Flynn, the anniversary celebration downstairs has begun. Arent ou going to take a look?”
Without even a glance up, Malcolm stayed immersed in his paperwork, his chiseled features betraying little interest.
“It’s the same old event every year, isn’t it?”
A knowing grin spread across Justin’s face. “But this year’s different ve heard Reese is performing tonight.”
At that, Malcolm’s perusal of the documents stalled, and he looked up in mild surprise with a faint smile in his deep–set eyes.
“She’s joining in on that crowd?”
From what he knew of her, Reese wasn’t one for that sort of spectacle. It was odd enough that she’d stay to watch, let alorie, participate.
“I hear Sophia Linden and her crew are itching to see Reese flop. But you know Reese’s temperament; she’s driven Alyssa and the second miss to fits of rage, let alone these unrelated folks.”
Yet Judging by Reese’s demeanor, she didn’t seem… particularly skilled. Unless she was planning to demonstrate how to throw a punch.
“Well then, as her husband, how could I not be there to support her
With that, Malcolm rose from his desk, the serious and indifferent mask giving way to one of eager anticipation.
Justin noted that Reese was like kryptonite–whenever her name was mentioned, Mr. Flynn’s demeanor would shift from stormy to sunny in an instant. Just moments ago, he had the air of someone toe aloof to care, yet now he was the picture of enthusiastic
engagement.
It must be Reese’s charismatic personality.
Onstage, the atmosphere was now fully revved up by Sophia Linden Lilly, sitting nearby, applauded excitedly, taking the chance to sneer at Reese.
“See that? That’s what real dancing looks like. Look at Sophia’s figure, and then at yours. I mean
Lilly’s biting remark was cut short by Reese’s icy glare, silencing her as she played with her bangs smugly,
“Yeah, Reese retorted, “Sophia’s got it all. And you? Maybe you should consider shedding a few pounds. I’ve got a friend who’s a fitness coach–you’re guaranteed to slim down!”
Reese emphasized her last words, making sure Lilly caught the not–so–subtle dig.
Although Lilly had a pretty face, she struggled with her weight. Thanks to her love of food, which she never turned down, she had nearly tipped the scales at 190 pounds recently.

Flushed with anger, her cheeks twitched, and she hissed through clehed teeth, “Don’t gloat yet. Just wait until your turn. With such a crowd today, you better bring your A–game.”
Rising gracefully from her chair, Reese shot Lilly a look of disdain and sauntered toward the stage.
The host made the introduction: “Let’s welcome contestant number, Beese, our company’s newest talent. She will now dazzle us with a tango performance.”
The host paused and looked down at Reese with confusion. “Did you sign up incorrectly? Tango is usually a dance for two. Do you have a partner?”
“No, just m
“No, just me,” Reese replied.
Alone on stage, Reese was anything but timid. She resonated with vibrant confidence, looking completely unfazed.
The male colleagues in the audience were spellbound.
“Holy cow, she’s like a goddess among mortals!”
“She’s absolutely stunning–that face!”
“My heart might have just found a new idol.”
While the men sent adoring glances her way, the women started to mock Reese.
“Is she for real? Tangoing solo with thin air?”
“Her head must be filled with rainwater. Plus, since she arrived, she’s put Isaac in his place. Looks can only get you so far with the guys here–most are probably still intimidated.”
“Ha, no kidding. Imagine dating her and getting on her bad side? You’d be flattened!”
“I can’t even think about it. Too terrifying.”
The host was about to comfort Reese, considering the idle gossip swirling around, yet as he prepared to speak, he noticed there wasn’t a trace of embarrassment or confusion on her face. Instead, her eyes sparkled even brighter, and a confident smile played at the corners of her lips.
That sly smirk that Reese wore struck him right in the heart.
o, so if you’re without a partner…” his voice trailed off.
“Uh, I can dance a
bit
too,
“Sorry, I’m late.”
A sudden male voice boomed through the crowd, causing a stir as everyone turned to look
“What’s going on, Mr. Flynn?”
“Why is Mr. Flynn here–just to watch the performance?”
“It doesn’t seem like it. Didn’t Mr. Flynn just apologize for being later I noticed his gaze on Reese just now.”
“Don’t scare me. What could Mr.
Mr. Flynn possibly have to do with Reese?”
“Who said anything about them being connected? I just meant that Mr. Flynn’s remark seemed directed at Reese.”

The young woman on stage, who had maintained an air of detachment that some might find unbecoming for her age, stood radiantly despite the mockery and doubt. Her posture was imprecable, her gaze, unwavering.
But upon seeing Malcolm, her look changed ever so slightly; her pulls began quivering, and her heart was racing
What was he up to?
The atmosphere dipped suddenly, but the host recovered quickly, hall joking, “Let’s give a warm welcome to Mr. Flynn who graced us with his presence to watch our staff’s performance,”
Applause filled the room.
Malcolm curled his mouth in a mischievous grin that instantly sent flutter through the hearts of many women present.
His lips barely parted, “I’m not here to just watch.
The host paused, “Then you
are here for…?”
“Reese’s dance partner. That’s me.
He declared it with undeniable pride.
Justin rolled his eyes disdainfully. Dealing with Mr. Flynn’s PDA was daily challenge.

With that, the man walked towards Reese with a steady gait. Her usual composure wavered at his approach as she tightly clutched the hem of her dress, and her cheeks flushed with a subtle warmth.
He moved closer, extending his hand in a gentlemanly gesture.
“Sorry to keep you waiting, my dear wife.”
Though he spoke the last sentence in a silent whisper, Reese saw and understood every syllable.
