Fall in Love with the Dominant Billionaire
Chapter 140 You Handle It
“If you truly want to, I can allow you to do it right away” Reese’s so was playful, lacking the modesty traditionally expected of a young lady, with a hint of mischief instead.
Malcolm’s throat tightened, “Would you really?”
“There are millions of men in the world; nothing to cling to. If one’s gone, I’ll find another. Besides, I can do perfectly fine without
a man.
To her, men were expendable. Conversely, a harmful man could lead one into the abyss, acting as a hindrance on the path to success. Avoiding such a man was the wiser choice. Malcolm traced his fingers down her back, sealing a kiss upon her lips.
But I’m the only one of my kind in this world.”
Reese’s heart fluttered under his earnest gaze. She hesitated, unable to muster words of refusal, now finding utter.

Malcolm was in good spirits, for today y he learned that his darling wife had never been this close with a man before.
He surmised that Reese was simply unaccustomed to such intimacy, her emotional responses slower than other w other aspects, she was as quick–witted and competent as him, if not more.

Anticipation for future surprises from his dainty wife grew within him.
Finally calming her nerves, Reese attempted to rise but felt a wave of dizziness. As she teetered, seeking something to steady herself, her hand found itself in an unspeakable place.
“Ah….
She felt the burning heat in her palm and hastily withdrew it, turning to find Malcolm, his expression taut with discomfort.
“Did I press on something? Sorry, I didn’t see.”
Malcolm, clenching his teeth, waved it off.
“It’s fine that you pressed, but be careful not to damage anything, or it might impact our joyous times ahead.”
Reese was slow to catch on. “Is it that painful? Maybe I could rub it to ease the pain?”
As she moved to touch, Malcolm swiftly blocked her hand,
“No, don’t. I le
1 fear you might make it worse.”
He didn t dwell on the pain, as it wasn’t the sort that could be soothed easily.
Reese still wanted to make amends for her blunder.
Let me check on it, case the tissue’s damaged or if there’s a woud. I can take care of it right away.”
A ply grin flickered in Malcolm’s ayes as he asked her in a lackluster one, “You want to take care of it?”
Yeah, if it’s my fault,
fault, I’ll take responsibility,” she said earnestly, and Malcolm found her all the r mure endearing.

He guided her hand to where he ached, and through the fabric, Rose felt the intense heat, recoiling instantly.
“It’s so hot
Her reaction brought laughter to Malcolm. “Why pull back? You you’d help:
You need to cool down first. Use some cold water, and then I apply some anti–inflammatory cream.”
Reese got up to fetch her first aid kit, and Malcolm gazed at his inocent, unsuspecting wife, feeling a pinch of guilt for teasing her any further.
She was probably still oblivious to the fact that when a girl like her a real gem, would soften her temperament, she would become a mans downfall.
He caught her wrist. Tve got it covered; you don’t have to go.
Reeses expression flipped instantly, and with no trace of politeness, she slapped his shoulder.
“Why on earth didn’t you mention this before?”
“I heard my wife was on the case; how could I steal your thunder? But, the way you were going to handle things isn t how I had in mind.”
Might as well save that approach for another day.
Reese pulled her hand away, visibly exasperated, “If you already had a solution, why wouldn’t we use yours first?”
Malcolm stood up, chuckling lowly as he playfully tousled her hair his eyes filled with adoration.
“Alright, I’m off to cool down in the bathroom, you entertain yourself for a while.”

Reese finally grasped his intention, the bathroom door had ready closed behind him. She turned her head, muttering.
“If it’s something that can be fixed with just cooling down, why bother me with it? Such a hassle.”
Soon after, the sound of running water came from the bathroom. Reese stood still for a moment until she abruptly remembered she was supposed to head out, having told Calvin and the others to pull an all–nighter.
She quickly checked the time; an hour had already passed, and they must be waiting for her at the secret base by now,
Taking advantage of Malcolm still being in the shower, she stepped out onto the balcony and called Calvin.
As soon as Calvin answered, he urged, ‘Reese, didn’t you say were pulling an all–nighter? We’ve set for a big night. Why haven’t you shown up yet?”

Nearby, Louis chimed in, “Miss Brooks, are you having trouble getting a ride? Do you need me to pick you up?”

She felt a twinge of guilt. “No need. T–uh, something came up on my end. I won’t make it after all. I’ll send you guys a little something for the snacks, one for each my apologies for today.”
Reese was genuinely apologetic: she disliked when people canceled lans, but here she was, doing just that.
At her words, Calvin exploded, shouting to the others nearby,
“Guys, guys, gather
round, Reese just bailed on LIS!”
Louis, who never fed on gossip, also felt perplexed. The usually non curious guy was baffled by today’s unexpected turn of events.
Miss Brooks, spill it–what high–flyer has managed to make even reliable you flake out on us?
Rolling her eyes, Reese chuckled wearily over the phone.
“Am I the only adult stuck in a kindergarten here? Shouldn’t you be more focused on scolding me for standing you up rather than prying into why did it?”
Their way of thinking was perplexing. When someone gets stood up the usual response is anger, followed by confrontation and blame. Even the more amiable might extend polite words or forgiveness.
These guys w were a whole different breed
Louis and Calvin were chattering away with fervor.
“I bet Reese and her husband got, you know, busy, Calvin speculated.
“No way! Miss Brooks is as clueless as they come in that department Remember when that guy hit on her and just touched her arm? She sent him to the hospital for over a month. He steers clear of her now,” Louis chuckled at the memory.
Calvin, who had been with Reese the longest, knew how much she hated being touched, especially by strangers–it triggered her defenses
Clearing her throat, Reese posed a question, “So, what does it mean I don’t mind Malcolm’s touch?”
