that Reese feared Malcolm; she just didn’t want to stir noscessary trouble.
she’d made the first move by intercepting the project mid way. And now, she was intent on sealing the deal before anyone
This was certainly a challenge to Malcolm’s authority.
No turning back now, Reese had no time to fuss about the details; hi top priority was securing the deal, and she could deal with Malcolm later. Even if he suspected something, he wouldn’t be able to pin it down to her.
The following day broke with Reese stepping out early to meet up with Calvin and the crew.
Upon seeing Reese, Calvin raised an eyebrow, “Reese, you sure you want to go in without a disguise? If anyone gets a good look at you, even Malcolm with half a brain would figure it out.”
“Who’s calling who dumb? Don’t talk about him like that,” Reese snapped back instinctively, popping Calvin on the head.
Calvin stared back, astonished. “What’s with you, Reese? Taking his side now?
Reese realized she had inexplicably defended Malcolm. That wasn’t uke her at all. Why did she feel so irritated when Calvin made
that comment?
“Cut the chatter,” she said, getting back on track, “Give me the plan and get the car ready, I need to do some touch–ups.”
“What kind of touch–ups?” Calvin asked, surprised,
“You really expect me to go in like this?” she retorted. She needed to make herself unrecognizable, so Malcolm couldn’t get a clear description if he asked around.
“Alright, do what you gotta do.”
As Calvin drove to their destination, Reese turned the backseat into her dressing room, putting on makeup and changing into her prepared outfit
“Calvin, put the screen up, would you?” she requested. At the press of a button, Calvin isolated the backseat from the front. The makeshift changing area was Reese’s own design, crafted for when there wasn’t a moment to spare.
Once they arrived, Calvin turned to alert her. “Reese, we’re here. Tim is ticking. I heard your husband is meeting with some clients
at nine.”
Stealing a competitor’s blueprints needed to be quick and ruthless.
I know, I know. Don’t rush me.”
Two minutes later, Reese swung open the door, with Calvin already there waiting.
“Let s go,” she said, patting his shoulder while straightening her atti

Calvin barely finished his sentence before being
startled by Reese’s fanstormation.

He had to admit, Reese’s makeup and disguise skills were exceptional Any style, any look, she could pull it off. But this? It was intense,
Dressed in a sleek black suit, her hair slicked back, her porcelain skin seemed to radiate against the dark fabric. With just o chilling glance, she gave off an icy vibe without even trying.
Reese put on her sunglasses, exuding an unmistakable unban attitude
Calvin scanned the surroundings as he approached Reese’s side. “I wouldn’t have recognized you, Reese, Had I not seen my car, I’d think you were someone else.”

She presented a stark contrast to her usual aloof demeanor
Reese tilted her chin up slightly, “Unrecognizable, huh?”
Calvin clapped his hands enthusiastically, “You have no reason to worry about running into your husband. Even if he were standing right in front of you, he wouldn’t have a clue. You’re beyond incognito”
Aligning with her new persona, Reese fetched a piece of xylitol from her purse, popped it into her mouth, and gave a mischievous
smirk.
“Let’s roll.”
Watching Reese’s confident stride, Calvin couldn’t help but marvel, How that’s the Reese I know.”
Upon entering the café, they immediately caught the curious glances of many patrons. Reese had an aura about her, but today’s ensemble was dominating the scene.
As they opened the door to the private room, their business associate was visibly taken aback by Reese’s
appearance.

He hadn’t anticipated the person coming for a business talk to exude such an air.
Stepping forward, Reese shook hands with the associate, “Hello, Daniel. I’m the head of Horizon Industries, Hayes.”
Calvin flinched hearing the last name, wondering why Reese was borrowing his identity. She had previously used Louis’s name as
These partners probably had no idea they were all dealing with the same Individual.

Daniel nodded, impressed, “Miss Hayes, it’s remarkable how some as young as you commands such respect in the industry.”
A matter of necessity. Reese quipped, hall in jest, as she sat down and laid out the proposal, getting straight to the point, “Have a look at the revised plan for our collaboration.”
Daniel skimmed through the papers, while Reese calmly sipped her coffee, showing no sign of nervousness. She exhibited a certainty of securing the deal.
During his review, Daniel couldn’t help but observe Reese. She was idly elegant, and though her age seemed around twenty, her eyes held a depth that belied her youth, instilling a sense of reliability.
Reese chose to partner with a newly developed subsidiary bearing het name because the parent company had reached its capacity. The company had recently shifted its focus to the travel industry.
She had her sights set on this land for a while, but Daniel’s demands for the collaboration were stringent, and without clear standards, she was shooting in the dark.
From what she had gathered, Malcolm had already mastered the criteria provided by Daniel and had drawn up a plan. She took a quick look and could tell it was different from his previous proposals albeit with hints of the original concepts–probably only noticeable to Malcolm himself.
Daniel seemed quite pleased after reviewing it, although there was still a hint of hesitation.
“I’ve also set up a meeting today with Mr. Flynn from the Flynn Group here. I want to compare their proposal, but I can tell you, the choice of partner will be between your two companies. Maybe we should wait for Mr. Flynn?”
Reese couldn’t afford to wait for Malcolm. If he showed up and saw her proposal, he’d skin her alive,
With a light smile, she said, “Our plan will fully leverage the project’s potential, and our bid is certainly going to be lower than Malcolm’s. Choosing us will be b both economical and superior.”
The Flynn Group had become an industry leader over the years, setting incredibly high standards. Any collaboration they proposed typically demanded prices twenty percent above the industry average. But the draw of the Flynn Group was that they guaranteed profits, sometimes even doubling or tripling the investment. That’s why many were willing to pay a premium to work with them.
Reese’s main office was offering competitive rates, but as a branch office in its initial phase, it couldn’t afford to aim too high. Yet, her capabilities were evident, and Daniel’s agreement to the partnership would have him counting profits until his hands ached.
“Plus, I have some additional ideas for this parcel of land. Give me a few minutes to elaborate, and if you agree, we can sign the contract immediately. If not, there’s no need for further comparison you can go with the Flynn Group.”
Daniel detected the assertiveness in Reese’s tone, coupled with a touch of surprise. He was a big player in business and saw no reason to be intimated by a smaller company’s president.
“Lets be blunt, Miss Hayes. The fact that your fledgling company got a meeting with me is a miracle in itself. Although I’m not sure how you managed to set this up, for someone so young, you seem overconfident.”
He had spent many years in the business world, and no one had ever spoken to him quite like this. To put it nicely, it was negotiation; to be frank, it sounded more like a threat.
Calvin watched nervously from the sidelines. Reese had taken a signeant gamble this time, possibly to avoid encountering Malcolm. But this approach was like walking a tightrope if Danielsadn’t agree, all their efforts over this extended period would have been for naught
