Fall in Love with the Dominant Billionaire
Chapter 144 Suspicions.
They approached Daniel’s desk, finding him with a puzzled expressige as he looked at Malcolm.
“Mr. Flynn, what’s going on…?
“I was wondering about the lady who was just here–her name?”
“Last name Hayes, she owns Horizon Industries. Why, Mr. Flynn, do you know her?” Daniel recalled that Malcolm had immediately followed Miss Hayes earlier on-
“Horizon Industries? Malcolm’s brow furrowed, trying to place the company.
“Here’s the deal–they’re a startup, but Miss Hayes is quite sharp. We’ve adopted their proposal, so, unfortunately, Mr. Flynn, it looks like we’ll have to look for another opportunity to collaborate.”
The prospect of a partnership was the furthest thing from Malcolm’s mind now. He was intrigued by the retreating figure–her height, build, eerily reminiscent of his wife.
“May I see the contract and proposal?”
Malcolm made a straightforward request.
Initially, Daniel shouldn’t have shared these documents with Malcolm, but considering he had secured Malcolm’s interest before signing with Horizon, he felt a bit guilty.
“Alright, I’ll make an exception for Mr. Flynn.”
Thanks, Daniel. Malcolm took the contract and proposal from Daniel’s hands.
was on top, and his eyes caught the name first–Calvin That name didn’t sound feminine, and it seemed eerily
The contract was familiar.
Justin suddenly remembered, “I looked this guy up after our system crashed last time. He was our prime suspect, and I even checked his computer.”
Though they hadn’t found anything then.
Malcolm glanced sideways at Justin, a frosty veneer over his handsome features.
“The info I found back then… he was the owner of a gaming company, right?”
“Yeah, big into game development, a real gaming enthusiast.”
Justin recalled the details clearly.
“Could you check who’s behind Horizon Industries?” Malcolm spoke he flipped to the proposal. Justin noticed Mr. Flynn’s expression turn sour before he even finished reading–the corners of his mouth taut and a chilling vibe radiating from him. A sense of foreboding washed over Justin.
“Is there a problem with this proposal, Mr. Flynn?”
“Take a look for yourself, Malcolm replied, clearly
Nomething, amiss.

Justin skimmed the document, puzzled.
This plan looks even better than what we had. What’s wrong with
Don’t you see? It’s eerily similar to the one we had–the one that a stolen.
Though Malcolm couldn’t initially confirm it was tied to their project, now, poring over the proposal, certainty took over–it was a modified version of their lost work.
The editor had a keen eye for detail, attempting to disguise the original footprint, but Malcolm had caught on anyway.
Justin looked again but couldn’t spot anything amiss–probably a sigh he still had much to learn.
“So Mr. Flynn, the one who stole our plan–it’s got to be Calvin, right?”
Malcolm pondered for a moment before dismissing Justin’s claim.
“It’s not Calvin. We need to focus on this woman.”
Tustin was at a loss. “What about her?”
“Calvin’s just her front. She’s the real puppeteer here.” Malcolm handed the contract and proposal back to Daniel. “Daniel, do you remember what she looked like?”
“Quite attractive, sharp features and an imposing presence. Clearly no ordinary woman–somewhere in her twenties. Dressed professionally, but you couldn’t miss the youthfulness on her face. Seemed like a negotiation pro. I even thought about poaching her for our firm with an annual salary of a hundred million, but her assistant just laughed.”
Justin was surprised. “A hundred million wasn’t enough?”
“Of course not. If she can craft plans like these, not even our top elites could match her innovation and creativity. She’s right up my alley, Justin, look into this Calvin, and if necessary, arrange a meeting. I need to meet this person.”
Malcolm’s eyes gleamed predaciously, like a beast lying in wait, ready to pounce at the right moment.
“Understood, Mr. Flynn, Justin nodded.
Daniel couldn’t fathom how such a small fry had captured Malcolm vid interest and curiously inquired.
Mr. Flynn, is there more to this Miss Hayes than meets the eye?” Daniel inquired, his expression a mix of curiosity and caution.
a mere hunch. “Daniel, if you happen to see Miss Hayes again, do me a
Malcolm didn’t respond directly, his assurance shaken by a mere h lavor and let me know.”
Daniel hesitated for a moment before nodding in agreement, “Sure thing, Mr. Flynn.”
“Let’s get going then. Having gathered enough information for the moment, Malcolm k knew he had further digging to do, perhaps starting with interrogating someone. Daniel held back any further questions

Malcolm couldn’t help but smirk with a raised eyebrow, Intrigued. wouldn’t be that blatant. If she had tampered with the tapes, wouldn’t that he tantamount to confessing? There’d be no need for further investigation then.”
He was certain no ordinary person could have tweaked his plan as they did without missing that crucial detail. Trusting his instincts, Malcolm felt increasingly compelled to uncover the truth.
“I’m on it,” Justin said, as he went off to request the security footage from the staff.
Seated in the back of his car, Malcolm lit a cigarette, his long fingers holding it elegantly. His deep gaze and the slight twist at the corner of his mouth revealed he was thinking about the girl’s agile maneuvers,
“This is getting more interesting by the minute.”
“I don’t recall anyone daring enough to challenge me for a deal right under my nose before,” he mused.
When
hen Justin returned, he handed over the disk. Just like you figured Mr. Flynn, all the surveillance is intact.”
Taking the disk, Malcolm inserted it into his laptop with the focus of a hawk preying on its target. Each time the girl’s image appeared, he’d pause by hitting the space bar. Her attire exuded professionalism, her demeanor resembling the strong–willed women seen in movies, and her intense gaze kept others at bay.
Although she didn’t resemble Reese, her longer face, tightly pulled–back hair, and overpowering presence struck Malcolm as oddly familiar.
Justin, peering over Malcolm’s shoulder, chimed in, “She’s nothing like Reese. Look at how different she is. Reese always has this cool elegance, but it’s nothing like this.”
Malcolm stretched and flicked his cigarette ash out the window. Have you forgotten what Reese was like when she first joined the Flynn family?
