Chapter 160 Interrogation–1
Once Shirley and Sawyer got into the car, they didn’t rush to leave, Shirley was seething with frustration.
“Dad, can you please look into this? We need to find out who’s behind this, she urged impatiently.
“Why didn’t I investigate further? You saw for yourself, didn’t you? There’s nothing to uncover. Whoever they are, they’ve got a secretive background, and they might be a bigger deal than we can handle,”
Sawyer didn’t dare to dig any deeper, worried that any trouble might only invite more trouble, making their situation worse.
Shirley was seriously puzzled. “So you’re saying Reese is just a regular Joe? Could it be Malcolm pulling the strings from behind the
scenes?”
I don’t think it’s Malcolm. If it were him, would he put on such a big show? Plus, you heard the phone call. We had to apologize to Reese, of all people! Before I left, I asked one of the staff members, and they mentioned that Reese boasted about how we would come groveling.
That’s why he was so sure Reese was up to something, but he couldn’t bring himself to believe it.
Shirley’s expression grew even more complicated. “Dad, from what you’re saying, Reese isn’t an average person. If she’s really that powerful, why wouldn’t she just tell the Flynns? You’ve seen how Grindpa Flynn treats her. Rumor has it, he never wanted Reese to marry into the family. He just went along with it because of an arranged marriage.”
It seemed like Reese had been forced into the marriage, and Shirley wasn’t certain if she wished to remain with the Flynns. If Reese was just an ordinary person, Shirley would have to rely on the Flynn family’s influence. However, if Reese had her own status, she wouldn’t be dependent on the Flynns for survival. If these two formidable forces joined together, the consequences could be
terrifying.
Remembering the embarrassing scene from earlier made Shirley clench her fists, her usually delicate face contorted with anger.
“Why does Reese get
e get everything, while I can’t even get close to Maledim without facing rejection?”
Sawyer gently patted Shirley’s shoulder. “Alright, we’ll think of something else. If Reese really is someone of importance, we can’t- afford to mess with her. You’ll have to let go of Malcolm. But if she’s nobody special, there might still be a chance.”
Shirley looked at Sawyer with a surge of hope. “Dad, do you have a plan?”
“I’m still thinking. I’ll let you know once I’ve figured it out.”
The plan he was considering was risky, but if executed flawlessly, it could yield fantastic results. It might even lead to Malcolm divorcing Reese. However, if things went south, they’d be the ones to pay the price.
Shirley clutched at Sawyers arm urgently. “Dad, no matter what, I have to be with Malcolm. If I’m with him, I can help our family business in the future.
Shirley knew that Sawyer’s top priority was gain. As long as there with profit in sight, he’d agree to almost anything.
Sawyer nodded in confirmation Dont worry, I’ll do my best, but if you run into Reese again soon, don’t mess with her. I’ve got a feeling that girl’s more than meets the eye.
Got it, Shirley replied, a casual affirmation, but internally she was anger for another encounter with Reese. She was determined to stay cool and not give Revso a chance to retaliate,

As Reese walked into her room, she sneezed. Rubbing her nose, she wondered who was badmouthing her.
Malcolm followed her, opening the door and coming over to wrap his arms around Reese from behind. Reese didn’t resist his embrace as she used to, but she issued a verbal warning.
“Malcolm, don’t push
push me to get physical,” she warned, her tone taking on an edge of annoyance,

Fall in Love with the Dominant Billionaire
Chapter 160 Interrogation–2
He leaned in closer, examining her face, which remained striking even in its coldness,
‘Babe, are you mad at me?” he teased.
“Handle your own jealousy issues next time without dragging me into them,” she retorted.
Getting involved in these potty squabbles was the last thing she wanted, especially since Shirley had such a sharp tongue and liked to played dirty. Reese had to intervene to avoid being at a significant disadvantage.
Malcolm playfully twirled a strand of her hair around his finger. “In this just proof of how charming your husband is?”
“Your charm is your business, not mine. I don’t need the trouble,” she said curtly-
She had no time to waste on such trivial matters; she hadn’t joined the Flynn family to clean up after Malcolm’s romantic messes,
But none of her irritation seemed to affect Malcolm. He just smiled more broadly, his cool lips brushing her ear as he whispered, “So why did you get all worked up when grandpa said he’d discipline me
She could’ve just ignored everything, even stood by silently–that would’ve been more like her.
But she didn’t. She hadn’t turned a blind eye; instead, she had saved him.
The very mention of the Flynn family’s discipline frightened everyone, and grandpa hardly ever resorted to it. Once enacted, it usually meant a trip to the hospital, involving physical punishment that left lasting marks.
Reese’s face betrayed a hint of panic at his words, but it was not too obvious.
She quickly regained her composure and gave Malcolm a dismissive glance.
“Malcolm, if you want to indulge your vanity and think I’m worried about you, then suit yourself,” she scoffed.
Malcolm gently patted her back, his voice low and soothing as he tried to coax her.
“Alright, alright, sweetie, no need to be upset. I was wrong. Now, would you mind sharing with me how you got them to come over and apologize? From what I know about Uncle Sawyer, pride is practically his middle name. He sees himself above everyone else; the man doesn’t bend easily.”
Especially after being challenged by someone younger, which made him lose his composure in front of a crowd. It was highly unlikely he’d swallow his pride and apologize just like that.
Lately, Malcolm had begun to suspect that there might be more to Reese than met the eye. She seemed to be keeping some secrets from him.
But when he pressed her with questions, Reese didn’t appear flusteres. She had a clear strategy in mind and knew exactly how to handle any interrogation.
With a mischievous smile, she for Malcolm to come closer. “Come here, I’ll tell you all about it.”
And so, Malcolm obliged, eager to hear her side of the story.
“I had someone give Sawyer a call and scare the daylights out of him might impact their profits. Threaten their bottom line, and they’ll
You know, business folks like him, they fear anything that right in line.”

Malcolm regarded her skeptically, casually lighting a cigarette from his jacket pocket, taking a leisurely drag, and raising an
eyebrow.
“And then what?”
“Well, he got scared, probably worried about real damages to his company, 50 he decided to make amends by bringing over a peace offering.”
Reese spoke as if this were all quite obvious, her clear face showing no sign of tension.
Malcolm didn’t rush to confront her. Instead, he circled his arm around her waist and pulled her close, their bodies pressed tightly together.
-50, what exactly did you threaten him with? Without any concrete action, there’s no way he’d be shaking in his boots like that.”
