Chapter 234 Discovering the Truth
Glancing at the photo, Tattt replied, “I don’t recognize them. I wonder who left this picture on my desk,”
Reese observed him closely throughout the whole ordeal. “So, you’re saying the photo coincidentally happened to be here? Rese
asked.
“I honestly do not know anything about 11, Turti confessed, there was a trace of stress in his voice,
“Mr. Tartt, you’re an intelligent man; you get the point, don’t you?” Reese stared sharply at him.
Meeting her eyes, Tartt replied, “I honestly don’t understand. Please clarify.”
Silence fell between them.
Then, finally, Reese broke the silence. The person in this photo is my late grandmother. You must have known that. Unfortunately. she passed away under ambiguous circumstances. She was murdered
“That’s truly–regrettable,” Mr. Tartt responded calmly, “but I genuinely have no idea how your grandmother’s photo ended up in my
toom.”
- Flynn family? Or, to put it
‘Let’s not beat around the bush Mr. Tartt. Did my grandmother’s demise have anything to do with the F straight, did it have anything to do with you?” Reese blurted out, unable to keep her composure..
It was too close to home to remain calm about her grandmother. She should’ve seen it coming–the Flynn’s, oh, the Flynn’s.
“You’ve got me all wrong, Tartt’s voice finally shifted as he pleaded, I’ve been with the Flynn’s for decades. I swear I don’t know a thing about it. And besides, with such a big household, I had been have every day, how could I possibly have had the time to harm
ber?:
“Do I really have to force it out of you?” Reese’s tone was cold, her demeanor was unyeilding.
“For argument’s sake, even if I had done it, why would I leave the photo in such an obvious place? It’s not connected to me, I truly can’t comprehend how that picture ended up here,” Mr. Tartt insisted.
The tense silence was abruptly broken by the ringing of Reese’s cell phone.
It was Malcolm.
She was completely overwhelmed by her thoughts. Mr. Tartt, the Flynn’s, Malcolm, and her grandma’s passing–were they all
connected?
It was all shrouded in mystery-
The phone kept ringing, Incessantly. Reese hung up, but the caller, persisted as if unwilling to let go, dialled again. She cut the call
once more.
Lifting her gaze to Tartt, Reese said, “Not talking, huh? I have ways of making you talk. With those words, she turned around and
left with determination.
No sooner had she left, Reese made a call.
“Hey, is this Reese? Calvin was mid–game when her call abruptly came in.
“I need you to investigate everything on Malcolm’s butler, Tartt. Every piece of information you could find,” Reese demanded.

“Got it, will do, Calvin respoiled, mildly perplexed, curious about the sudden investigation of an ordinary butter,
But it was Reese who asked, and without overthinking it, he got rigs to it, employing his methods. The butler was certainly no ordinary person if Reese needed information about him. Calvin scored the information popping up on his screen when suddenly, his eyes narrowed, and his expression turned serious–he couldn’t find any information on the butler!
He called Reese back with grave urgency, “Reese, I’ve hit a wall with artt. He’s untraceable. I couldn’t find anything using any
method.”
Hearing this, Reese’s suspicions were confirmed. A calmness came over her. This was no simple matter.
Regarding Mr. Tartt, it would be normal that no one usually paid much attention to a minor butler. Whats with the Flynn’s? Could it be that he is their Achilles heel or was he just using their reputation as a shield? Yet, one thing was crystal clear; the butler had something to do with Grandma’s death.
Suddenly, headlights pierced through the e darkness outside-it was Malcolm! He had finally returned home.
Reese had hung up on him twice already, but by then, he was already on his way, urging his driver to speed up.
“Reese, what’s wrong, why’d you hang up on me?” Malcolm entered, reaching out to ruffle Reese’s hair.
She dodged it swiftly, leaving Malcolm’s hand hanging awkwardly in mid–air.
With a patient tone, Malcolm asked, “Reese, what happened?“, genuinely puzzled. Reese was acting unusually cold, her demeanor practically screaming ‘Keep out!
Reese looked at Malcolm, her tone laced with sarcasm, “You seriously have no clue about what you did?”
Malcolm was baffled, his sharp mind failed to piece the puzzle together.
“Reese, I really don’t understand. Can’t you just tell me?” Malcolm was filled with confus

Reese remained silent, merely sitting on the couch. She looked normal, but her eyes told a different story. After the time together, she had almost let her guard down.
She had nearly allowed herself to be swayed by the temporary illusion of happiness. From the start, her grandma’s death had stood between her and Malcolm.
She couldn’t let it go unresolved–it would haunt her forever.
On the other side, Malcolm called out to Tartt, “What’s the matter with Reese?”
Just as he was
Tartt looked troubled and pondered for
for a moment. Just as he was about to speak, Reese’s voice cut through from behind Malcolm.
“My grandmother’s death is on you!” she accused.
Stunned, Malcolm spun around, “Reese, that’s impossible! Her death has nothing to do with us!”
“Oh, it doesn’t?” Reese pressed on with intensity. “Then, Mr. Tartt, explain to me why my grandmother’s picture was
as on your desk!”
Something was off about Tartt.
Malcolm seemed like a different person since coming back, as if he weren’t the man who had just been confronting her.
“I genuinely have no idea. How could I possibly be involved with someone I had never met?” Tart scrambled to defend himself, the

calm composure he once held was now shattered.
Reese sneered at the scene before her.
Sharp as Malcolm was, he quickly grasped the entire situation within just a few words exchanged between them.
Looking into Reese’s eyes, Malcolm said, “Reese, 1 genuinely have no idea if your grandma’s passing has anything to do with the Flynn’s. All I can say is that it has nothing to do with me, but I promise to get to the bottom of this.”
Reese looked through Malcolm’s eyes, tossing aside any unwarranted thoughts. All she wanted was to uncover the truth about her grandmother.
Indifferently, she challenged, “Oh really? And how can I be sure you had no part in this? Or maybe, it’s all just an act orchestrated by you?”
Her words pierced Malcolm’s heart, but he knew he had to unravel the truth–and–fast!___
He turned to Tartt with a scowl and demanded, “What the hell is going on?”
Tartt, flustered, insisted, “I swear I’m clueless, sir–honestly! If I were behind this, why would I keep evidence around? I’m not that foolish!”
Malcolm regarded Tartt’s demeanor. “Mr. Tartt.”
