Chapter 282 Straight to the Point
As they journeyed homeward, Justin found the courage to inquire, Flynn, have you considered delving into pesses post?
No, not at this juncture Malcolm responded, his voice firm. Unless she expresses a desire for such an investigation, it would only serve to wound her further.”
Malcolm understood Reese’s fiery spirit all too well. If he were to pre into her history without her permission, she would undoubtedly react explosively. Her inner fire was so fierce that at times, even he struggled to temper it.
justin chuckled, his tone light. “Mr. Flynn, it seems that ever since Riese entered your life, your principles have taken a backseat.
In the past, Malcolm was a man of decisive action, unafraid to take sks. However, with Reese in his life, he had become more cautious, balancing the harsh realities of life with her delicate emotions.
As they continued their journey, Reese shifted uncomfortably within the confines of Malcolm’s arms. In her restlessness, she brushed against his most sensitive area, causing him to wince and stiffen, his face contorting in a pecultar expression.
Observing the scene from the rearview mirror, Justin sensed something amiss. “Mr. Flynn, is the space too constricting? Perhaps Reese should move to the back seat?”
Malcolm’s response was curt and irritable. “Just focus on driving and keep your comments to yourself.”
Justin lowered his gaze, sheepishly acknowledging his overstep. He began to suspect that Malcolm might actually enjoy having
Reese so close.
Malcolm finally relaxed, but Reese, restless even in her slumber, seemed to be seeking comfort. She nestled closer to him, her arms encircling his waist, her head resting on his shoulder. Her lips parted slightly as she breathed softly, the warm breath tickling his ear, silently tempting him.
Malcolm’s patience was wearing thin. His forehead creased, the tendons standing out starkly as he clenched his jaw. This little minx was a divine torment, restless even in her drunken sleep.
As Reese’s breath caressed his skin, Malcolm’s heart clenched with the effort to resist her.
“Drive faster,” he instructed Justin, his voice strained.
“Of course,” Justin responded, pressing down on the accelerator, though he was puzzled by the tension in Malcolm’s voice.
Upon reaching the drugstore, Justin went inside to purchase a hangover remedy for Reese. Left alone in the car, Malcolm exhaled deeply, his gaze drifting to the woman nestled in his arms. Her cheeks were flushed, her lips moist and inviting–an image that stirred temptation within him.
And he succumbed to that temptation.
Lowering his head, Malcolm claimed her lips, tasting the sweet undertones of her breath, intoxicating himself with her essence as if savoring a fine wine.
Reese, in her semi–conscious state, felt the gentle kiss but offered no resistance. It felt right, even in her daze.
A wave of ambiguous emotions swelled within the car, and Malcolm could feel his body temperature steadily rising. With one arm wrapped around Reese, his other hand fumbled with the buttons of his shirt, revealing a broad chest and a handsome clavicle.
Had Reese been fully conscious, she would have taken control in an instant, devouring him whole.

But Malcolm was in no rush. Me night was young, and there was plenty of time for them to enjoy each other’s company,
When Justin returned, Malcolm had regained his composure, appear perfectly normal at first glance, Yet, lostin couldn’t shake off the feeling that something was oft
He wondered if it was merely his imagination playing tricks on him, but he didn’t dare voice his suspicions. Instead, he handed over the hangover remedy to Malcolm in the backseat.
“Mr. Flynn, here are the pills and some water for when you’re ready to give them to Reese, Justin offered.
“Let’s just get back,” Malcolm replied, noting that Reese didn’t seem to be in any discomfort.
With that, Justin resumed driving towards the Flynn residence.
Upon reaching the house, Malcolm carried Reese inside, surprised to find the living room brightly lit. He draped his coat securely over Reese and ventured further into the house.
Vincent was leisurely flipping through a book titled “Herbal Compendium in the living room. A sardonic smile played on Malcolm’s lips. He and Vincent had always maintained a facade of civility, particularly after learning about Vincent’s hidden agenda. Without his grandfather’s presence, Malcolm had no interest in wasting words on him.
Without even lifting his gaze, Malcolm ascended the stairs, carrying Reese in his arms.
However, Vincent decided to speak up. “Malcolm, it’s quite late to be out drinking with Reese. Grandpa might scold you for this. And if Everly finds out, she’ll accuse you of being so smitten with Reese that you’ve lost your senses.”
Malcolm’s expression hardened, his eyes turning icy. He retorted without sparing Vincent a glance, “If you would just keep your mouth shut, we wouldn’t have these issues. Focus on your medical studies. A half–hearted approach won’t get you anywhere. My wife’s skills in medicine have already surpassed yours.”
Vincent’s face turned a shade of iron as Malcolm’s biting words froze the smile on his face.
Ignoring Vincent completely, Malcolm carried Reese upstairs. When they disappeared around the corner of the stairwell, Vincent, overcome with anger, threw his book across the room. Justin stepped forward and kindly picked it up for him.
“Don’t let it get to you, buddy. You know how Flynn can be; he’s never liked anyone meddling in his affairs,” Justin reminded Vincent, his words serving as a subtle warning. If Vincent knew he couldn’t hold his own against Flynn, why engage in a futile battle? What was the point of arguing with a man you couldn’t beat, only to end up frustrated?
Vincent glared at Justin, his anger flaring. “Do I need you to school me? Get lost, Justin!”
Justin wasn’t offended. After all, no matter what, Vincent just didn’t measure up to Flynn.
He headed upstairs, leaving Vincent alone in the living room, lost in his quiet despair.
After settling Reese on the bed, she clung to Malcolm’s neck, refusing to let go. He gently patted her warm cheek, trying to soothe her.
“Honey, let go for a moment. I’ll be right back; I just need to freshen up.”
“Don’t go…”
Reese’s voice was a delicate coo, as comforting,as a warm spring breeze.
Seeing her enchanting face, Malcolm’s lips curled into a smile as he recalled their intimate moment in the car. “Well then, let’s right to it.”

Initially, Malcolm took the lead, but as they progressed, Reese seem to sober up, turning the tables and taking control.
Both were strong–willed individuals, neither willing to be the passive one, even in the thres of passion.
Their Intense battle of wills lasted until the early hours of the morning, finally ending when they fell asleep in each others arms, completely satisfied.
The next morning, Reese’s eyes fluttered open to find a pair of dark, mused eyes gazing down at her.
He propped himself up on an elbow, raising an eyebrow at her, his voice deep and soothing. Good morning, honey.”
