Chapter 324 Vincent Meets Nolan
Vincent savored his tea with a leisurely sip. “What’s the issue, Nolan Were you not aware? I assumed you’d have requested Reese to oversee your health,” he said, his tone casual.
His words were unlikely to raise any suspicion. Nolan himself was well aware that the capabilities of ordinary doctors fell short in comparison. Given Reese’s standing in the medical world, she was the logical choice for Nolan to approach. In this manner, Vincent cleverly kept his true intentions hidden.
Nolan, however, remained riddled with uncertainty. “So, you’re implying that Reese cured Malcolm’s leg, and, as you’ve just disclosed, she’s your sister–in–law – implying she’s Malcolm’s wife.”
Vincent arched an eyebrow in surprise. “You weren’t aware? They’ve been wedded for quite some time.”
Nolan’s expression hardened. Despite his diligent investigations, he had uncovered nothing about her, never suspecting that Reese would end up marrying Malcolm.
Yet, it wasn’t entirely shocking that she chose Malcolm. Reese, with her striking beauty and unique aura, could easily captivate men. The old–money crowd, weary of overly eager women, would naturally be drawn to someone like Reese.
In retrospect, Nolan realized he had underestimated her. Now that she had ties with the Old Money, it made sense why she had the audacity to negotiate with him.
Nolan remarked, “It’s quite surprising that the Flynn family Master managed to find someone in the medical field to mend his leg.”
“Right? Besides, Reese is the owner of Emerald Isle, and now she’s the majority shareholder of the Brooks family. She’s quite a formidable woman. We in the Flynn family initially thought Reese was just a small–town girl. It seems she fooled us all.”
Nolan maintained a composed exterior, but internally, his thoughts were in turmoil.
Over the years, Reese had been strategic in her pursuits, and considering Vincent’s revelations, it was plausible that she had other hidden identities.
Given this, Nolan couldn’t risk letting Reese slip away.
Her abilities far exceeded those of ordinary people. She possessed more courage than many men he’d encountered, and there was no predicting what she could accomplish for them in the future if properly utilized.
Nolan chuckled. “It appears the Flynn family has struck gold this time.”
Having said his piece, Vincent trusted Nolan to make his own deductions. Pushing the matter further might risk revealing his hand.
“Nolan. Since we have some time today, and I’ve brought my equipment, how about I give you a health checkup?
incent offered.
‘I appreciate it, Vincent,” Nolan agreed.
“Think nothing of it.”
Post–checkup, Vincent offered Nolan a few guidelines and suggestions.
“You’ve been overworking yourself. I recommend a follow–up in about two weeks,” he suggested.
Nolan offered a wry smile. “Seems like I’ll be imposing on Vincent again in the future.”
“No worries, I’ve been rather free lately.”

Vincent had a hidden agenda, he was seeking to establish a closer relationship with Nolan to learn more about Reese.
Reese’s association with the organization suggested that she was far from ordinary.
If he couldn’t gather information about Reese through other sources, he would have to rely on an intermediary. Judging by Nolan’s reactions, he seemed to be quite familiar with Reese.
However, Vincent couldn’t directly ask Nolan whether Reese truly had any ties with their organization. Nolan was too astute and might not reveal anything.
This matter had been dragging on for a while. Even if there were no immediate results, eventually some information would surface, so there was no need to rush. The crucial thing was to be able to discover the truth in the future.
Following his health examination, Vincent made his departure.
In the wake of his exit, Nolan sought out Hugo, intent on a private conversation.
“What is it you require, Nolan?” Hugo inquired.
“I need you to investigate whether Reese has become a part of the Flynn family through marriage. Additionally, I want to know what she has been up to since her departure from our home,” Nolan requested.
Hugo was taken aback by this revelation. “Reese, married into the Flynn family?”
The Flynn family was renowned in the business world, their reputation unassailable. How could they have chosen Reese, a woman so distant and aloof? Her background was far from the pedigree of the typical heiresses born into such prominent families.
Nolan shared Hugo’s curiosity. “Indeed, how did Reese manage to marry into the Flynn family?”
The question of whether to reveal her true parentage when the time was right hung in the air.
Nolan took a deep drag from his cigarette, his gaze landing on Hugo. What’s your opinion?”
“If we withhold the truth, she’s liable to cause chaos,” Hugo warned.
Nolan nodded in agreement. “It seems you know Reese well. She’s the type to seek revenge, and she won’t let go if we’ve provoked her this time. We have numerous issues to address at present. We can’t afford additional complications.”
Hugo gave a slight nod of acknowledgment. “Understood. I’ll get on it.”
Meanwhile, Vincent was ascending the staircase when he encountered Reese. He offered her nothing more than a casual salutation.
“Reese, what a coincidence. You’re up late.”
Reese merely hummed in response. Her impression of Vincent was far from favorable. Despite sharing a household for such a lengthy period, their interactions were limited to mere pleasantries.
“Reese, I…”
Before Vincent could complete his sentence, Reese’s phone interrupted with a ring.
It was Calvin on the other end, and she was prepared to take his call
“What is it?”

“Reese, you won’t believe whoy
aw today, I thought you should be formed.”
“Get to the point,” Reese demanded, growing weary of Calvin’s habitual preamble.
“The crux of the matter is, I spotted Vincent – your husband’s brother, the doctor in a meeting with Nolan at the teahouse.”
Upon hearing this, Reese’s gaze involuntarily shifted to Vincent. Unaware of the conversation on the phone, Vincent was left puzzled by the sudden intensity in Reese’s eyes.
Her voice dropped several degrees. “I’m aware.”
“So, what’s the deal with Vincent and Nolan? Are they conspiring…?
Calvin’s speculation was abruptly cut short as Reese ended the call.
Vincent was at a loss for words, particularly under the scrutiny of Reese’s penetrating gaze.
It had to be said, Reese’s stare was formidable. Her icy demeanor was enough to instill fear in those on the receiving end.
For a woman to possess such an emotionless expression, it was hard to believe she hadn’t weathered her share of storms.
Vincent found himself increasingly convinced that Reese’s past was far from ordinary, certainly rivaling the experiences of those raised in affluent families.
Eventually, it was Vincent who shattered the tense silence.
“Why are you looking at me like that, Reese?” he asked.
