Fall In Love with the Dominant Billionaire
Chapter 334 Powerless and the Subject of Gossip.
The murmurs of conversation reached Everly’s ears, and her gaze, sharp and flerce, Immediately swept over the crowd. She reprimanded them, her voice a harsh whip. “Have you no tasks to attend to? Why are you loitering here? If I catch any of you idling again, consider yourselves unemployed! The ferocity of Everly’s outburst sent the lingering spectators scattering from the doorway.
Her assistant, though uncertain of the circumstances, ventured to offer some counsel. “Everly, we’re still within the company premises. If Malcolm were to discover your behavior, there might be
The mere mention of Malcolm still had the power to instill fear in Everly.
Once her fury had subsided, Everly instructed her assistant to summon the janitor to clear the chaos left in her wake.
The online slander against Everly was damaging enough. Now, her public outburst within the company had set tongues wagging amongst her colleagues.
“Everly’s reputation is in tatters now. After what she just did… It’s going to be a rough road ahead for her in the company.”
“Perhaps you should be more concerned about your own standing. After all, she is the director of the company. Her long tenure indicates that the Flynn family holds some regard for her, even if she isn’t a blood relation.”
“What does that matter? Look at how she treats the staff of the Flynn family. Anyone surviving in such an environment is bound to develop a certain mentality.”
“I wonder who had the audacity to leak her information. If Everly discovers the culprit, they’re in for a world of trouble.”
As Everly emerged, clutching a handful of files, she overheard the whispers and promptly silenced them. “This is none of your concern. Concentrate on your own tasks. Tread carefully in your work,” she warned sternly.
Her colleagues promptly ducked their heads and returned to their duties.
With a stormy expression, Everly exited the office, resolved to confront Reese about the matter. She was not one to admit her faults. Despite being the one who had exposed Reese to Shirley, she still considered herself in the right.
Her first course of action was to contact the media, hoping they would retract the damaging news about her. However, they kept deflecting her demands, refusing to acknowledge their role in the scandal.
Everly’s rage bubbled over as she stood in the hallway. “The headline clearly reads ‘Sensational Scoop‘, and yet you want to dispute it!” she fumed.
“Everly, we’re unsure who released it. Let’s do this – we’ll conduct an investigation to identify the perpetrator and hold them accountable,” a representative from the media company proposed.
“Accountability? I demand that ‘Sensational Scoop‘ retract the story immediately, or the Flynn Group will not let this slide!” Everly threatened.
“In that case, we invite you to discuss this matter in person,” the media representative suggested.
The call ended abruptly, leaving Everly listening to the cold, impersonal beeping on the other end. She was livid. Had these media outlets lost all respect for her?
It seemed that these media companies, now aware of her lack of familial ties to the Flynn family, no longer feared her.
Well, Everly was determined to demonstrate her true capabilities.

Chapter 334 Powerless and the Subject of Gossip
She turned and spotted justin in the file room, rummaging through documents. Upon seeing Everly, a sense of foreboding wasted over him. Why did he have the feeling that her wrath was about to be unleashed on him?
Everly strode towards Justin with a determined expression, her voice urgent as she addressed him. Tustin, I need you to contact those newspapers immediately and demand they retract any headline shout me.
Justin responded by scratching his head awkwardly, “Everly, I’m afraid I don’t have the authority to do that. If you wish for the media to remove headlines about you, it would be best to consult Malcolm.”
Everly was taken aback by Justin’s words, her eyes widening in disbelief. “What are you implying? Are you suggesting that I should seek out Malcolm? I am the director of the Flynn Group and a member of the Flynn family. You, Justin, are merely an assistant. Surely, I have the right to ask this of you?”
In truth, Everly harbored a strong dislike for Justin. His constant prefence around Reese and Malcolm, always ready to assist them, irked her. She had even attempted to bribe him once, but he had shown no interest and refused to divulge any information.
Now, Justin was fawning over Reese, showering her with attention and compliments. He had already politely declined Everly’s request, but her rude response had left him irritated.
Despite his irritation, Justin was resolute. He didn’t wish to offend Everly, knowing that Malcolm still considered her a sister. “Everly, you can ask me to do other things, but I may not be able to assist you with this particular matter.” With that, Justin collected his files and departed without another word, unwilling to waste any more time on Everly.
Watching Justin walk away, Everly felt a surge of anger. She blamed Reese for her predicament, convinced that she wouldn’t be in this situation if it weren’t for her. Pulling out her phone, Everly began scrolling through her contacts.
If Justin wouldn’t assist her, did she have any other options?
She dialed a few numbers, all belonging to children from influential families. While they couldn’t rival the Flynn family, they still wielded some power and influence.
These individuals typically followed her lead. Now, she needed their assistance, and she was confident they would be eager to help!
As she dialed, Everly fought to maintain her composure. “Bronte, I need a favor. Have you seen the news? I know your family has ties to the media. Could you help me remove what they’re saying about me?”
If the rumors continued to circulate, they could harm her reputation.
Bronte’s hesitation was palpable, even over the phone. “Um… It’s not that I don’t want to help you, but my family has been quite busy lately.”
Sensing Bronte’s reluctance, Everly decided not to press the issue. Instead, she responded with a cold snort. “You claim you would do anything for me. But now, when you learn I’m not a blood relative of the Flynn family, you alt avoid me. Regardless of my blood ties, I am still Everly of the Flynn family. I am still stronger than all of you!” With that, she ended the call.
Her face flushed and veins bulging on her forehead, Everly took several deep breaths. All her options seemed to be blocked. The rumors about her were spreading throughout the company. If they persisted, who would respect her authority as the director?
Just as Everly was grappling with her helplessness, her phone rang. It was Vincent. His call brought a glimmer of hope to her desperate situation.
