Dahlia’s eyes
locked onto the stage. “Isn’t there a piano solo coming up? Let’s make sure she gets
her moment.”
She was itching to make Reese look like a fool, especially in front of Malcolm. Once they got home, Reese would be in for it.
Nancy was all in. “No time t

The two of them strutted over to Reese, who was so glued to her phone she didn’t even notice them coming-
It wasn’t until that snarky, sarcastic voice cut through the air that she looked up.
Dahlia stood there, smirking down at
t Reese.
“Well, if it isn’t my sister who married rich? What, Malcolm didn’t tag along? Or does he think you’re too low–class to be seen with?”
Reese knew all too well the games this mother–daughter duo played.
But today, she wasn’t in the mood to entertain them.
She stood up, and just like that, her presence was undeniable. She was already taller than Dahlia, and with her heels, s over her.
Dahlia, feeling Reese’s commanding vibe, took a couple of steps back Nancy noticed and quickly grabbed her arm.

Even Dahlia was confused. “L…”
Why did she feel scared just now? Reese hadn’t even said a word, yet he felt a bit intimidated.

“You’d better don’t mess with me. You two are here to snag rich husbands, right? Don’t mess up
With that, she strutted past Nancy and Dahlia in her high heels, heading straight for the center of the hall.
Dahlia and Nancy exchanged bewildered looks, not expecting the showdown to end before it even started.
They were actually spooked by Reese. What just happened?
But Dahlia wasnt about to let it slide. She had a golden opportunity and wasn’t about to waste it.

Ten minutes later, the host took the stage, mic in hand, and gave a deep

“Thank you all for coming to this party. We’ve got a special treat line up. I bet all the young ladies here about we pick a fucky guest to play a piece and spice things up?”

The lights above started to flicker. Reese was still glued to her phone, texting Malcolm. Was he really going to bail on her today? He still hadn’t shown up.
Suddenly, the lights zeroed in on Reese, making her squint. She instinctively raised her hand to shield her eyes and heard the host call out.
“Let’s welcome this young lady to the stage to
play a piece
The applause was deafening.
Dahlia, standing behind Reese, gave her a nudge with a smug grin.
“Reese, what are you waiting for? Get up there.”
Nancy chimed in. Yeah, hurry up. Everyone’s waiting for you to play

“She’s a real stunner. I’m definitely getting her number later.”
“What if she’s got a boyfriend?”
So what? I’m loaded.“
Reese laced the crowd’s states with an almost eerie calm. When she stepped onto the stage, the host looked a bit surprised………
“Miss, the piano’s over there.”
“I can’t play.” Reese said, straight–up.
The crowd erupted in laughter.
“She’s gorgeous but can’t play the piano? Is she just pretending to be some high–society chick?”
“But that dress she’s wearing. I saw it in a magazine. It’s by a famous foreign designer, and there’s only one in the v
world.”
“If she can afford a dress like t that, how could she not know how to play y the piano? What a joke.”
Dahlia and Nancy sat in the audience, eagerly waiting for Reese to make a fool of herself. How could a country girl know how to play the piano.
Once it got out that she was Malcolm’s wife, the Flynn family, who were all about their reputation, would definitely push Malcolm to dump her.
Reese listened to the whispers and mocking comments around her, her face as calm as ever, not even a hint of a frown. Anyone else would have been mortified and wished they could disappear.
Reese’s clear, sharp eyes scanned the audience as she spoke.
“It doesn’t have to be the piano. Any other talent would do, right?”
She walked over to the host and w
whispered something in his car. He godded.
“No problem.* ̈
The audience was buzzing with curiosity about what Reese was planning.
A few seconds later, the stage lights suddenly went out, plunging everyone into darkness,
Someone panicked, “What’s going on? Why is it dark?”
“Is she some kind of assassin?”
“Have you been watching too many movies?
“Maybe she’s planning to bolt. I mean, it’s pretty embarrassing for a so–called socialite not to know how to play the plane. Isn’t there a trend online about people faking being socialites? Maybe she snuck in with some guy.”
“Could be, but she’s got that aura. If you hadn’t pointed it out, I wouldn’t have guessed she’s a fake,”

Dahlia and Nancy were convinced Reese had run off. Reese didn’t know squat, not even the basics of any instrument. She was just a vulgar nobody
Dahlia tugged on Nancy’s arm, feeling over the moon. Finally, Reese was humiliated, and luckily, no one knew she was from the Brooks family.
“Mom, you should tell everyone that Reese is Malcolm’s new wife later. By tomorrow morning, the whole circle will be buzzing
Nancy’s eyes gleamed with a dark light, smiling triumphantly, “Damn her. She didn’t even show us any respect when she saw us. She really thinks we can’t handle her?”
the stage, now
Just as they thought their plan was foolproof, the lights in the hall icked back on. Reese stood in the center of the stage dressed in a ballet outfit. Her tall, well–proportioned figure shone brightly under the spotlight.
The music started, and Reese began to move her graceful arms, spinning beautifully. Her agile body performed exquisite dance moves that left the audience in awe.
When Justin wheeled Malcolm in, he immediately sensed something was up. Even the lighting felt different. Following the crowd’s gaze, he saw the petite figure on stage, dancing like a flowing river, spinning like a dazzling fairy, captivating everyone’s attention.
Justin stood behind Malcolm, his mouth wide enough to fit an egg.
“Mr. Flynn… is that Mrs. Flynn?”
Malcolm didn’t respond, quietly watching her dance, his eyes filled with confidence and a sparkling light.
A mysterious
smile
slowly curved on his lips. Well, she actually dared to deceive him.
