Chapter 51 Thorny Fairy–1
Downstairs, Reese had no idea about Malcolm’s decision.
She still had things to attend to.
She didnt want to listen to Everly and Alyssa nagging, so she hade farewell to Grandpa Flynn and left. But instead of heading towards the company, she took a taxi straight to an apartment in the suburbs..
A renowned doctor lived there, a teacher she had known during her studies. Although retired now, he still held a distinguished reputation in the medical field. Today, she came here only to get medicine from him. It wasn’t available on the market and was difficult to find. Applying this medicine to Malcolm’s legs would be the icing on the cake.
his legs were healed, the could inquire about her grandmother. Even if he doubted her intentions, he would owe her for helping him with his legs.
She raised her hand and knocked on the door, and soon a maid arrived. Seeing the maid, she was about to introduce herself, but the maid had already stepped aside.
“Sir has been waiting for you for a long time: please come in.”
“Thank you.” Reese walked in and followed the maid to the backyard.
It was filled with precious herbs, exuding a familiar scent that made Reese feel at ease. She didn’t like the smell of flowers and plants, but preferred the aroma of these herbs. Her mood improved significantly as soon as she arrived here, at least happier than when she was at the Flynn family’s.
From afar, she saw Grandpa Robert and called out cheerfully, “Grandpa Robert!”
Robert turned and saw Reese standing not too far away, waving at him with a sweet smile on her face.
“Reese, you finally came. How have you been lately? Is your grandmother doing well?”
When her grandmother fell seriously ill, Reese’s medical skills were not advanced enough, so she had asked Grandpa Robert to take a look. They became somewhat acquainted through this. But mentioning her grandmother inevitably made Reese feel a bit melancholic, and she forced a bitter smile.
“Grandpa, my grandmother passed away two months ago.”
“How could she have passed away?”
This news startled Robert. Reese pulled Grandpa Robert to sit on the nearby chair.
“It was an accident. Let’s not dwell on that. Grandpa, do you have the medicine I asked you about on our last phone call?”
“Of course I have it. But that medicine is especially rare. I had to ask around extensively to find it for you.” Reese affectionately linked her arm with Grandpa Roberts, acting like a little girl.
“I knew you would always dote on me, Grandpa.”
“But Reese, that medicine is considered a divine remedy. Who are you going to give it to?”
“Um… to my husband, Reese answered truthfully.
“When did you get married? Why didn’t I know?” Robert was taken aback by this revelation.
Reese was already married, and her heart had grown cold. He still planned to introduce his grandson to her so that the t serord that he was a step behind.

“This is a long story,” she said,
“Alright, bring him over when you have time. When do you plan on going back to the medical school? The dean called me last time and said that you suddenly left, and there are many patients waiting for your appointment. Thinking back to those days, you were my most valued successor. At such a young age, you had such incredible talent in the field of medicine, I can’t even compare to you now.”
Hobert’s eyes filled with proud smiles as he reminisced about the past. Reese was his favorite as she was smart, quick–witted, and capable of figuring out things that even he couldn’t understand. She was a tate talent in the medical field.
