Fall in Love with the Dominant Billionaire
Chapter 63 Mr. Flynn Looks Up to Madam with Admiration–1
“Exactly. If she were really so capable, the company would’ve promoted her long ago.”
“Even Mr. Flynn couldn’t seal this deal, so what chance does she have?”
The taunts from the other colleagues only strengthened Claire’s belief. Reese was probably just trying to bluff her because, really, what skills did she have to get a signature from Mr. Kim?
The company was about ready to throw in the towel on the project, but Everly’s command seemed all too transparent–it was a power play aimed at squeezing Reese.
Why did that brash girl have to strut in like she owned the place? Everyone could see through her cocky demeanor, and worse yet, she’d managed to steal everyone’s thunder upon her arrival.
Claire Hamilton, gritting her teeth and stomping her foot, looked like she was ready to risk it all.
“Fine, I’ll take that bet,” she declared. “Let’s go clear things up with Mr. Flynn right now.”
“Why bother him? Just call Mr. Flynn here,” Reese replied with a relaxed ease, her heart secretly leaping with joy. Someone had actually taken the bait. She’d treat the whole office to dinner on Claire Hamilton’s dime until she was bankrupted, if possible.
Reese typically had little mercy for those who spun truths out of thin air; it wasn’t in her nature to be soft.
Claire Hamilton was utterly shocked. In Reese, she saw what could only be described as otherworldly–a woman who seemed to fear nothing, daring to say or do anything.
“Mr. Flynn is here.”
At the sudden announcement, all heads turned.
Everly, sensing an unusual tension between Reese and Claire Hamilton, asked, “What’s going on here?”
Claire Hamilton, trying to dominate the conversation, said, “Mr. Flynn, Reese has been parading around with a fake contract. She even had the gall to claim she’d secured Mr. Kim’s deal.”
Everly looked surprised, his gaze shifting to Reese. Her eyes sparkled with intelligence and determination; not a trace of guilt was visible on her face.
If she were dealing in forgeries, she wouldn’t be able to stand so confidently. Unless, of course, she was just that good of an actress.
Pulling the contract from the desk and flipping it open, Everly’s eyes landed on the signature of Henry Kim in the bottom right corner, causing his pupils to narrow sharply.
It was indeed Henry Kim’s genuine signature. The contract was real. How had she pulled it off?
Colleagues in the office watched as if it were a play, and even those in the hallway couldn’t help but take a peek.
Justin Chabon pushed Malcolm to the doorway.
“Never would have guessed the lady was so shrewd, he commented, to land Henry Kim’s deal is no small feat. The women we usually send his way either get rejected for not meeting his standard or end up in a last–minute retraction, despite whatever… agreement they might have reached. But most of them were just chang the money, thinking a payoff from Kim would smooth everything over.

“But our dear Madam here played a different game,” said Malcolm from his wheelchair, a gleam in his deep–set eyes directed toward Reese, his face alight with merriment. “Sure, she used her charms effectively, but in the end, Henry Kim not only lost out, but ended up with a broken arm and leg to boot! And she clinched the deal to boot.”
Justin Chabon twitched, sensing Mr. Flynn’s near reverence for Madam.
Everly, after reading the contract, still found it hard to accept but couldn’t deny the undeniable–Reese had actually pulled it off.
Claire Hamilton, noticing Everly’s silence and sour expression, felt even more assured that the contract was phony. “Looks like Reese has no shame, touting a fake contract as real. What’re you planning, treating the company to a meal?”
Reese’s scoff carried as her piercing gaze landed sharply on Claire like a cutting knife. It was the first time Claire had seen such a look in Reese’s eyes, and she couldn’t help but feel a jolt of fear.

“What are you staring at me for? Claire shot back, defiance masking her alarm. “You’re the one in the wrong, are you trying to intimidate me now?”
Then, with a sudden curl of her lips, the tension in Reese’s eyes melted away. “Mr. Flynn hasn’t said a word yet, so could you stop making noise all by yourself?”
Her sarcastic tone, paired with a smug smile, only added fuel to Claire’s ire. She turned to Everly and demanded, “Mr. Flynn, announce the results, please.”
Everly put down the contract, his face grave as he made the pronouncement. “The contract Reese brought back is legit.”
“What?” Claire stared at Everly as if he’d seen a ghost, her smile freezing on her face. “You must be joking, Mr. Flynn? How can her contract be genuine?”
Everly was inwardly impressed by Claire’s folly, casting aspersions without any knowledge. He was shocked too–Reese had actually managed to land the project.
But there was nothing he could do–Reese had indeed succeeded. They would just have to find another way next time.
“That’s enough, everyone. Let’s break it up,” he finally said, dispersing the crowd of downcast colleagues.
Claire remained, fuming and incredulous, her disbelief written all over her face.
“How could she possibly have agreed to sign, Mr. Kim? We’ve dealt with each other before; he never intended to give us the project in the first place.” Reese spouted the words sarcastically, yet brimming with confidence.
“Just because you can’t do it doesn’t mean others can’t. And don’t forget about our little bet. Loser treats the entire company to dinner. Don’t forget about tonight.” A smirk glittered in Reese’s eyes.
With that, Reese turned around with a proud posture and left.
Claire Hamilton simmered with resentment, vulnerable to Reese’s maneuver.
The colleagues nearby began to tease her.
“Dinner’s on her tonight!”
“Looks like I don’t have to bother with groceries and cooking this evening.”
Claire, perturbed by the jeering yet concerned about her reputation, could only grit her teeth and swallow the bitterness silently.
“Fine, we’ll do barbecue.
Awesome, barbecue works for me.”
Keese skipped the outing, disliking the insincere banter of clinking glasses and forced pleasantries often involved in such events. Why pretend to be friendly when people are insincere?
Shed rather take a soothing bath and get a good night’s sleep, especially after her skin crawled from the thought of being touched by that sleazeball today.
Were it not for her fear of arousing suspicion from Malcolm, she would’ve had Calvin ruthlessly take over every company under Henry Kim’s name and tank his stocks to bottom out, leaving him latter despair.

Exiting the office late, the night had already fallen, she found the roadside was empty of cabs. Not wanting to draw unnecessary attention with Calvin’s flashy wheels, Reese decided to wait for a tax.
While waiting, she casually checked her phone and discovered the news about Henry Kim had hit social media. Someone had broken his arms and legs in a hotel, leaving him in a ghastly state, currently under care in the hospital, but refusing to reveal the assailant’s identity.
Reese wondered. She had only broken Hen
