Fall in Love with the Dominant Billionaire
Chapter 74 Relax, Darling Won’t Hurt You–1
Malcolm actually found her fieriness appealing. She wasn’t afraid to take on anyone; it seemed like the word ‘fear‘ didn’t exist in Reese’s vocabulary.
But then, Malcolm was no pushover himself. When it came to handling others, he was masterful. Even with his leg not fully cooperative, Reese was still no match for him in a scuffle.
He had to admit, the girl had skills almost as good as his. But he had the upper hand, being a man- and Reese, no matter how tough she tried to appear, was still a girl, an innocent who’d never been in love, and wouldn’t withstand his allure.
Malcolm wasn’t just holding her. He blatantly pecked her lips.
“Easy there,” he cooed, his voice teasing. “If it was you, Darling would just give you a little punishment. Nothing too severe.”
Reese let out a contemptuous snort, “And if it was me, what could you possibly do to me?”
It was a blatant challenge, unapologetically direct.
Malcolm lowered his head, tilted it, and gently bit her smooth, white earlobe. Reese shivered involuntarily. His voice was husky and seductive, irresistibly pulling her in.
“A husband’s punishment is always tender. Relax, Darling won’t hurt you.”
Reese’s hazel eyes squinted, a flash of coldness shooting through them.
“If you dare touch me, I’ll cripple you!”
His deep, pleasant laugh resonated near her ear as she glared at him furiously.
“Don’t believe me?”
She was not one to hesitate to strike, especially not against a mere man. Disabling him was no big deal; even if the Flynn family gave her trouble later, she’d walk away unscathed.
“I just kissed you and I’m still holding you. Yet, I haven’t seen you trying to take me down. Seems like the wife can’t bear to do it.”
Reese was livid: “You jerk!”
In the next instant, her hand raised, poised to slap Malcolm’s handsome face…
But Malcolm’s eyes hardened, and he caught her wrist in mid–air. Reese struggled, unable to break free. As her other hand came up, Malcolm swiftly pinned both her hands and flipped her over, enclosing her tightly from behind.
Reese tried to kick him, but his legs clamped around her firmly.
Che looked back at him in surprise, “Your leg can move now?”
Malcolm raised an eyebrow at her playfully, “Want to find out?”
“Sure, my legs working now thanks to you,” Reese admitted, suddenly losing the urge to continue their physical skirmish. Right now, all she wanted was clarity on whether the medication and the method were actually effective and to what extent.

If it proved beneficial for Malcolm, it could revolutionize medical treatments, offering a new lease on life for countless patients.

Truth be told, Reese had stumbled upon the treatment by sheer luck–she was no miracle worker, after all. Even with her skills, there were no guarantees without considering the patient’s specific condition and the practicality of the approach.
In light of recent progress, though, it seemed her combat efforts hadn’t been in vain.
Malcolm wasn’t entirely sure if releasing her would prevent more underhanded tricks on her part. “Just a reminder–I’m your darling. If your kick paralyzes me, you’re signing up for a lifetime of responsibility,” he warned her.
I can handle responsibility. You think I can’t take care of you?” Reese’s proud defiance shone through.
Malcolm gave her a knowing smirk and said something that left her pondering his true intent. “Looks like my wife’s got quite the guts, claiming she could support me.”
He was determined to put her boast to the test and find out if there was any truth behind it.
Reese was growing impatient. “Cut the crap and let me go, or I’ll end you here and now!”

Her tone told Malcolm that his previous remark had captivated her.
He released her, and as Reese was about to stand, she felt a smack of her rear. Whirling to face a grinning Malcolm, she glared at him.
“Malcolm, touch me again and you’ll regret it!”
“That was for trying to take a swing at your darling earlier. Next time, it won’t be so simple,” he cautioned.
His leg was nearly healed; all he needed was the right moment. Then, would she still be able to elude his grasp?
Reese decided not to engage further. As soon as his leg fully recovered and she gleaned information about her grandmother’s situation from him, their marriage would be over.
She pulled up a chair, ready to give him her undivided attention. “Your leg’s mostly fine now? I bet the rest of your body’s just suffering from too much bed rest, including your… brother, who’s also waiting for you to fully recuperate, huh?” Malcolm noted, making an indirect reference to a personal matter,
Reese had no interest in the Flynn family’s brotherly feuds. “So you’re saying you felt your leg before?”
“Yes
“You mean you felt everything when I was giving you those acupuncture and massage sessions?”
Her voice had an edge to it, and as Malcolm noticed her clenched fists, he had to wonder if he was on the cusp of reigniting a war.
To keep the peace and avoid upsetting his beautiful wife–whose complexion would suffer from stress–Malcolm had to tread carefully with his response.
“No, I didn’t feel anything before. It’s only been recently,” he lied, for the sake of appeasement.
Reese’s furrowed brow gradually smoothed out, and the fist she had been clenching tightly began to quietly relax.
But she couldn’t just let him off the hook – not without a final word of caution.
“We’re only pretending to be a couple until your leg heals. After that, we’re done. So don’t hide anything from me,” she warned him.
No matter how powerful the Flynn family appeared, she was not the type to lie down without a fight.
Instead of being intimidated by her fierce display, Malcolm found himself increasingly enjoying the fire in her when she was angry, even if it was all bluster on the surface.
Noticing that Reese had fallen silent again, Malcolm’s handsome features assumed a rare seriousness when he brought up the earlier topic. “You haven’t touched this laptop, have you? The password is your birthday, did you know that?”
Reese thought she had deftly changed the subject, but he was still dwelling on it.
Attempting to joke it off again, she said, “Why would you use my birthday as a password? If someone else learns my birthday, won’t they have access to your laptop, too? Seems like an invitation to steal.”
I’m not joking. Everything in this room is vital to me. If it ever gets lost, I won’t let the culprit off easily.” Malcolm’s tone was calm, yet Reese felt a chill from his icy undertone of warning, especially in the piercing took he gave her now.

She shivered involuntarily. Malcolm was definitely easier to deal with when he was in his usual flirty mood. His serious side was a
bit too much for her.
Suddenly, there was a noise at the door.
“Have you found Sis–in–law yet?”
Reese’s eyes flicked to the door, a slight smile playing on her lips. Your sister is here.”
Malcolm had no intention of acknowledging Alyssa.
But Alyssa kept knocking persistently, “Malcolm, is Sis–in–law in there? Oh, come on Justin Chabon, what are you doing blocking the door? Let me in!”
