Chapter 10
Relief flooded through me as I threw my arms around Alpha Leonard, unable to contain my excitement.
“Thank goodness, Alpha Leonard,” I said, my voice trembling with emotion. “It’s such a relief that everything was just a scheme. I’m so glad you’re okay.”.
He gently embraced me, his fingers weaving through my hair.
“Silly girl,” he murmured, his tone warm, “I thought you’d be upset with me for lying to you.”
“How could I?” I replied, pulling back slightly to look at him. “As long as you’re healthy, why would I be angry? I’m just so happy.”

At my words, Alpha Leonard’s gaze darkened, his eyes filled with desire.
His eyes were full of me.
The unmistakable hardness pressing against me sent a flush of heat to my cheeks. Embarrassed, I tried to pull away, but Leonard wasn’t having it.
“My Luna,” he said, a wicked grin spreading across his face, “tonight we’re newlyweds. Where do you think you’re going?”
“You’re being ridiculous,” I said, pushing lightly against his chest, though my protest lacked conviction.
His grin only widened. “We’re legally married, darling. It’s perfectly normal. Don’t worry,” he added, his voice dropping to a sultry whisper,

“I’ll make sure you enjoy yourself.”
Before I could argue, he reached over and turned off the lights.
And, as it turned out, Alpha Leonard was true to his word.
I did indeed “enjoy” myself the whole night.
The next morning, I woke up to sunlight streaming through the windows, already high in the sky.
My entire body ached in ways I hadn’t thought possible.
I stroked the mate mark on my neck and glanced at the faint marks scattered across my skin. Mortified, I wrapped myself tightly in the blankets, groaning, “This is too
outrageous!”

My outburst was met with a soft chuckle. I peeked out to find Alpha Leonard standing nearby, a mischievous smile on his face.
He approached the bed, pulling me gently into his arms and placing a tender kiss on my forehead.
“Relax, sweetheart, he said, his tone teasing. “It’s my first time in twenty–seven years. Naturally, I got a little carried away. I promise, I’ll tone it down next time.”
I swatted at him halfheartedly, my cheeks flaming, but his infectious laughter melted away my embarrassment.
After some playful teasing, Alpha Leonard suggested we go out for a shopping.
But I couldn’t shake the feeling he wasn’t the

west shopping companion.
Whatever I tried on, he said it looked good.
He sat in his wheelchair, his eyes sparkling as he watched me, and I couldn’t focus on anything else–my mind filled with his approving smile.
Just as we were enjoying the moment, two uninvited guests burst in.
“Well, well, who do we have here?”
The voice, dripping with mockery, froze me in place.
“Looks like it’s my ex–luna, Britney, and that soon–to–be–dead cripple!”
I turned to find none other than Alpha Joseph and Omega Amanda striding toward
5/14
- US.
Since marrying Alpha Joseph, Omega Amanda had completely transformed. She now wore gold and jewels, her face radiant, and her entire demeanor had changed.
Alpha Joseph had also become a different person. The two of them now looked down on others as if they were superior.
Anyone who didn’t know better might have thought Alpha Leonard had already died, and Alpha Joseph was now the Alpha king of the Blue Rock Pack.
Just seeing them made me feel disgusted, and the happy mood I had from my interaction with Alpha Leonard instantly vanished.
Without a word, I gripped Alpha Leonard’s

wheelchair and began pushing him away, determined to avoid a confrontation.
But Alpha Joseph stepped into our path, blocking the way.
“Luna Britney,” he sneered, his head tilting mockingly. “I bet you’re regretting it now. That cripple who can’t even take care of himself–how could he possibly be better than me? He probably can’t even give you a proper sex life!”
My fists clenched at his words, but I said nothing.
“And let’s not forget,” he continued, his smirk widening, “he’s about to die. You’ll be a widow before you know it!”
With that, Joseph reached out to grab my chin. I turned my face sharply, avoiding his touch, my disgust evident.

“When that happens,” he added with a cruel laugh, “maybe–just maybe–if you beg for mercy, I’ll take you back. Out of the kindness of my heart, of course.”
At his words, Omega Amanda’s expression grew sour again. She reluctantly grabbed Alpha Joseph’s arm.
“Alpha Joseph, you have me already,” she whined. “Why are you wasting time thinking about her?”
Joseph shoved her away, his expression one of pure contempt.
“Get off me,” he snapped. “You should consider yourself lucky I married you. Don’t think you can monopolize me.”
Omega Amanda, scolded, lowered her head,
8/14
not daring to speak further. But she shot me a venomous glare.
It was as if I were the one trying to seduce Alpha Joseph.
I was speechless. I honestly couldn’t understand why Alpha Joseph, despite being such a trashy person, had so much. confidence. He really thought all the women in the world were after him, dreaming of marrying him!
Omega Amanda wasn’t much better either. All she could think about was Alpha Joseph, unwavering in her devotion no matter what he did.
Little did she know, Alpha Joseph was nothing but a pile of mud, forever useless!
It was laughable!

I wasn’t about to let it slide and immediately shot back.
“First of all, my ALPHA will live a long life, and our sex life is none of your business!”
“Also…”
I cast a disdainful glance at his crotch and gave a mocking smile.
“As your ex–wife, I don’t know what you’re capable of?”
At my words, Alpha Joseph immediately lost his composure.
He glared at me, his teeth clenched in fury.
“Dammit, you filthy woman! I’ve been too kind to you–daring to mock me? I’ll kill you!”
10/14
He raised his hand, ready to strike.
Crack!
“Ah!”
The moment his hand swung toward me, I instinctively shut my eyes, expecting pain. But instead of the anticipated blow, I heard Alpha Joseph let out a painful scream.
I opened my eyes to find Alpha Leonard’s bodyguard had grabbed Alpha Joseph’s wrist and kicked him to the ground.
Judging by Alpha Joseph’s agonized expression and the red mark on his wrist, it was safe to assume that arm of his was likely useless.
Alpha Leonard stormed over, his face dark
11/14
as a storm cloud, his eyes locked on Alpha Joseph like he was already dead.
“Alpha Joseph,” Alpha Leonard growled, his voice low and dangerous, he usedan alpha tone, “you think you can lay a hand on my luna and walk away alive?”
Alpha Joseph, despite writhing in pain, managed to sneer up at Alpha Leonard. His arrogance hadn’t been beaten out of him just yet.
“Dammit!” he spat. “I’m going to be the future alpha king of the Blue Rock Pack. What right do you–some half–dead cripple- have to act tough in front of me?!”
“I’m telling you, let me go now. Kneel and apologize, or else I’ll make sure your life is a living hell… Ah!!”
12/14
Before he could finish his tirade, the bodyguard’s fist crashed into his mouth, cutting him off mid–sentence and sending a tooth flying.
Alpha Leonard didn’t so much as blink.
“Teach this fool a lesson,” he commanded, his voice ice–cold. “Let him understand what it means to respect others.”
“Yes, Alpha,” the bodyguards responded in unison, moving swiftly to carry out the order.
Alpha Joseph was pinned to the ground, his struggles futile against their combined strength.
His screams started loud but grew weaker with every hit, until finally, he lay on the ground bruised and swollen, his breath coming in ragged gasps.
13/14
From the corner of my eye, I saw Omega Amanda’s composure crack. Her face was pale, her lips trembling as she watched her so–called alpha being reduced to a beaten
mess.
Omega Amanda couldn’t take it anymore.
Panicking, she ran out.
I sensed something was wrong and tried to chase after her, but Alpha Leonard grabbed my wrist, his fingers gently pressing against it as he shook his head.
Could it be… that this was part of his plan too?
