I moved out completely, not leaving even a single ornament behind.
Every last box was loaded onto the trucks waiting outside.
As my father hovered nearby, fuming, I handed him one final parting gift: a. meticulously itemized bill.
“These items are missing” I said, tapping the paper with my finger for emphasis. “Oh, and there’s also the vase you smashed earlier in your little tantrum. You’ll need to reimburse me for its full value. Don’t worry, I’m not overcharging you–I had everything professionally appraised!”
His face turned a ghastly shade of gray, and

his hand twitched as if he might tear the paper apart.
“You ungrateful brat!” he roared, his voice shaking with fury. “Don’t push your luck!”
“Push my luck?” I repeated, my voice laced with mock surprise. “Oh, Dad, if you don’t want me to take this to court, or–worse yet -decide I’m feeling too sentimental to go through with the divorce, then you’d better stop stalling.”
That did the trick. With a pained expression, he snatched the bill and scribbled his signature on the payment agreement. For the sake of his reputation and his beloved Omega Amanda’s future, he paid me every penny.
Once the account was settled and everything that was rightfully mine was

returned, Omega Amanda eagerly called Alpha Joseph, urging us to head to the divorce office.
At the court, Alpha Joseph was his usual self
-smug, self–assured, and insufferable.
“Britney,” he drawled, leaning casually against the counter as if he owned the place. “You’ll regret this divorce. You’ll never find another man as outstanding as me!
He smirked, his confidence oozing from every pore.
“You had the chance to share my love and Amanda’s, but you just didn’t understand how lucky you were. From now on, even if you beg, I won’t look back!”
Meanwhile, Omega Amanda, still clinging to Alpha Joseph, was gritting her teeth

but forced herself to act all gracious and understanding.
I couldn’t help but mock them with biting
sarcasm.
“Better hurry up and marry your precious Amanda,” I said, feigning concern. “If you don’t, you’ll be taking her to the dentist soon. Look at her–those teeth are grinding so hard, they’re bound to crack.”
At my words, both of them turned pale with rage.
Especially Alpha Joseph–his face turned a deep shade of purple, twisted with anger, looking every bit like a bitter old gourd.
“Fine!” he barked, his voice tight with barely contained rage. “Britney, you’ve got some guts. Let’s see who would want you after

this divorce!”
“Oh, don’t worry about me,” I said, waving my newly printed divorce certificate in the air. “I’m sure I’ll be just find someone better than you.”
After completing the paperwork, Omega Amanda couldn’t wait to cling to Alpha Joseph, urging him to get the marriage certificate, as if she feared that if she let go for even a second, Alpha Joseph, the “wonderful husband” would run away.
As soon as I stepped out, Alpha Leonard was waiting for me right outside.
He was dressed formally, and despite sitting in a wheelchair, there wasn’t a trace of disarray. If anything, his condition added a certain brokenness to him that made heart ache.

I couldn’t wait to walk toward him.
“Alpha Leonard,” I said, holding up the certificate, “I’m short an ALPHA, and you’re missing a LUNA. What do you think? Should we get married?”
A faint blush crept across his cheeks, and he chuckled, his voice warm and low.
“I brought my files with me,” he replied, holding up a folder.
That was all the confirmation I needed.
I eagerly grabbed Alpha Leonard’s hand and led him inside to get the certificate.
Afterward, we ran into Omega Amanda and Alpha Joseph once more.

Alpha Joseph’s face twisted with disbelief, his eyes darting from me to Leonard.
“You! You two!”
I met his glare head–on, refusing to back down.
“What’s the problem?” I asked, my tone dripping with mock innocence. “Is it only okay for you to have a seamless transition?”
Omega Amanda, finally catching on, stomped her foot in fury.
“Britney! You said you didn’t want him anymore! And now you’re with him?! You’ve been scheming with Leonard all along, you… you adulterers!”
I couldn’t help but laugh. Honestly, I had no idea where they found the nerve to accuse
